Only steps to the sand! This house is a clean, sunny, beach cottage on the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach. This house is on a quiet street that is less than 90 steps to the sand. The wide, open beaches stretch for many miles with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Though on a quiet street, this house is also located less than a block from the Newport Pier, which is full of action and considered by many to be the heart of the OC.
You will not need a car with this vacation home. This house is just around the corner from restaurant row where restaurants of all price ranges are located. Rent bikes, surf gear, fishing gear, or boats. Play arcade games and ride the merry-go-round or Ferris wheel at the Fun Zone. Take the ferry to Balboa Island or take a short trip on the "Flyer" to Catalina Island.
You may want to take a day trip to Knotts Berry Farm (one-half hour), Disneyland (one-half hour), Laguna Beach (15 minutes), Sea World (one-and-three-fourths hours), Long Beach Aquarium (one-half hour), or Los Angeles/Hollywood (one hour). We are 15 minutes from John Wayne Airport (SNA) or one hour from Los Angeles Airport (LAX).
Enjoy the sun on the second-story balcony or entertain and barbecue on our gas grill. Our kitchen is fully equipped with gas range, microwave, dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, and blender. Sleep with the windows open to enjoy the ocean breezes and listen to crashing waves. Everyone who comes to this cottage returns.
