Why the Owner Chose Isle of Palms
We read in a magazine that Isle of Palms was one of the best places to raise children so we decided to buy our first home here.
You can buy fishing license here, rent kyacks, boats or jetskis, Morgan Creek has great views (upscale restaurant downstairs & casual dining on rooftop), there is an old timey general store that's pre
Has 2 courses to choose from. One is the Ocean course (which is beautiful, but pricey) and the other course is the Marsh course which goes thru Wild Dunes and thru the Marsh areas and is more affordab
Small local grocery & market. There is a liquor store next door (marked by red dots only) and several restaurants as well. If you prefer a larger grocery you can go back over the Isle of Palms Connect
An amazing rec and park. Has tennis courts, soccer field, basketball court (inside & outside), work out room, playground, picnic tables, dog run area, small library, all are free to general public.
Has a Piggly Wiggly, Target, Gilligan's restaurant, Yamato's Japanese restaurant, and lots of little shops, pubs.
Owner's Map of Isle of Palms
We are local family that enjoy the beach and outdoors. We have a 3 year old and a six year old so the home has plenty of kids items. There is a baby crib, 2 high chairs, kid toys, movies, games, some beach toys, and generally kid friendly. We purchased this home in 2001 and it has many great memories of raising our first born here. We love the friendly and close nit neighborhood and visit the home whenever there are openings. We do have a boat dock about 2 miles away and this can be used if it is available, for an additional fee.

Positive Rating
We came for a wedding and had no idea how nice the island and beach area would be. Plus the neighbors were very friendly and family oriented. Enjoyed dining at the "One Eyed Parrot" and then sitting out back to catch the ocean breezes and beach music. A very charming place indeed...
