Great London Studio apartment

Thank you Holly for providing a wonderful studio apartment for our week stay. You even got Skype working on my iphone! The restaurants you suggested were very enjoyable with great food -fresh rainbow trout and creative lamb dishes with fresh vegetables from the farm as well as traditional "bangers and mash". We had easy acess with our vacationers oyster card to the subway, buses and trains to everything we wanted to see and do even 20 miles out of the city. The apt. was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Plenty of hot water and bath tub, comfortable bed, complete kitchen with condiments. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood and down to the Thames, over to Kensington Gardens and your pretty gardens . Hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday.

Delightful downstairs studio apartment

We loved this apartment and cannot recommend it highly enough. It is spacious (larger than the photos), the cupboards are stocked as in your own home, and the bed and pillows comfortable. It is central to everything; a 7 minute walk to South Kensington or Gloucester Road stations; supermarkets, restaurants, pubs and takeaways are all in the next street and it is an approximate 15 minute walk to Harrods. The studio apartment is downstairs from a Georgian row home and there is a key for access to the delightful Onslow Gardens (similar to the film "Notting Hill"). Holly is a generous host and willingly assisted us as needed. Thank you for your hospitality

Living like a Londoner for a week made the perfect vacation to this exciting city. The flat, as nice as it appears in the photos, is in a lovely area. Holly, the gracious hostess, leaves a binder containing information to make one feel "at home" in the vibrant neighborhood. She even provides a couple of umbrellas for borrowing! The flat is a short walk to two Tube stations, including one with a Heathrow stop. It's central location and home-like comforts made this a perfect home base to begin and end each busy day.

QUIET LOVELY STUDIO

Beautifully furnished (English style) studio with all the amenities of home from Kleenex to candles and so clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything one would need in the kitchen. The abundance of towels was really appreciated along with the fine soaps in the bathroom. The location is perfect as the Glouchester Road metro was just a few blocks away, several bus stops were just across the street, and we were within walking distance to a large market which offered every thing we needed plus freshly baked breads and rolls. Bottle shops, pharmacies, and many restaurants and cafes were close. Holly, the owner, is a delightful lady who thought of everything to make our stay very memorable. Of all the VROB rentals we stayed in during our three month visit in Europe, none compared to Holly’s. She made us feel so welcome and our stay in London was so memorable because of Holly. Super location, 7 minute walk from the Gloucester Road undeground and accross the street from a couple of bus stops. I found the place very roomy which is important to me, (I still have nightmares about my very first brush with a microscopic London hotel on a previous trip). The pillows were massively comfy, the kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, condiments etc. I would recommend this property for anyone looking to be in a lovely, central location. Owner was very helpful with recommendations. They had plug adaptors for my laptop when mine didn't work. Wifi service was reliable, and again, you cannot beat this apartment for location and the aesthetic appeal of the neighborhood.

Location,location,location, this property had it all. Close to two underground stations. And the three underground lines that run through these stations mean that you can get to most London sites direct. Without changing trains. Including Heathrow. You can take one subway train all the way from Heathrow to here. So easy. Clean and beautifully maintained. This is the lower apartment, but having said that it was very bright and very cheery! My husband and I were pleasently surprised how well equiped the kitchen and bathroom were. Lots of fluffy WHITE towels and bedding. Holly, the owner was a wealth of information and great with suggestions relating to the immediate area and farther afield. Staying at this apartment made our stay in London a memorable one!

A Home Away From Home

If I had the funding available I would BUY this place. My wife and I spent the first half of our honeymoon here and all I can say is WOW. The neighborhood is nothing less then charming. classy and full of great shops and restaurants. The owners live just above you so if there is any problem there is a piece of mind that someone is there to help you. With 2 different tube stations near by getting from place to place is a breeze, that being said, if you are there during good weather I recommend walking EVERYWHERE you can. The beautiful Kensington Gardens are a few minutes away and there are lots of great restaurants and cafes to try out. My wife and I HIGHLY recommend staying here it is comfortable and beautiful and has everything you could ever want in a home away from home. We plan on staying there again on our next trip to London. This was a wonderful flat, very clean, well furnished and very quiet! Location is great - 2 tube stations within a .3 miles with many resturants, grocery, pharmacy and bottle stores on the way. The owner lives in the flat upstairs and was great.

I have already recommended the apartment to several of my personal friends after our most pleasant stay there. It is thoughtfully laid out and well equipped, the hostess is extremely helpful and last but not least, it is location, location that counts!
