A big thank you for letting us stay just one night at Rancho Mojave? It was just what we both needed and experiencing sun,rain,snow,hail and morning quail was enough to reconnect us with what life's all about again. Your casita was perfect, I adored the attention to detail and your decorating style. Right up my alley !! We watched 3 movies, hiked, read and awoke to a very romantic sunrise. We look forward to more time there and hope to meet with you both one day. I took some wonderful photos ( some attached) let me know if you'd like to see more. Sincerely, Joanne and John P.S. ...i thought of a beautiful, peaceful, picturesque, serene, wonderful, relaxing and life changing place...looked all over the internet, and... Found Rancho Mojave... and it was perfect! Perfect for Shauna's 31st. birthday to capture the beauty with her camera...She took over 100 pictures! Shauna, Pauline, Jen and Lea- We all did not want to leave this place and we enjoyed every moment here, beginning with our drive in, the cooling breeze, the peaceful sound of silence with nature and the wind...We fell in love with the casita and all its charm and privacy. Every view from every window, every porch and all the stories and knowledge Ron & Cecilia shared, especially when Cecilia drew a map in the sand with her finger and when Ron shared his history of the original Indians who occupied these lands during the Homestead era...What wonder we have as we only got a glimpse of how much this place holds. We send our special love and wishes into these lands, this home, to Ron and Cecilia, and the stars...we touched and made our wishes. Thanks you for giving us Beauty and Peace in our hearts! As we drove out of the storm into Morongo Valley, a double rainbow appeared in the sky. This evening I sit on the back porch with a cup of hot chocolate & gaze up at the moon. Ryan relaxes in the couch watching "Hairspray". My soul returns to me... 11/22/10 There is magic here. I took a walk by moonlight last night before retiring; the moon was so bright it lit the desert painting it silver so no flashlight was necessary. My bladder woke me at 3:00 and the silence was so profound it felt like an awareness, a listening, able to receive all of my nightmares and dreams. 11/23/10 I am not sure which I prefer; the moonlight night or the glorious mornings, waking up to a desert sunrise while cuddled in luxurious linens and down comforter. How generous to share your treasures with complete strangers! 11/24/10 I am drinking my coffee on the porch that shelters one from the wind; but there is no wind this morning, only clouds rolling in. I am afraid we take the sun of us. Georgia O'Keefe came to the desert to paint. The desert fathers found God here. I am here for respit, for sanity and these I have found along with peace. This Thanksgiving my heart overflows with gratitude. Blessing on your home. May you be safe, healthy, happy, live at ease. Maria

Dear Cecilia & Ron, Rancho Mojave holds much magic for the visitors lucky enough to stumble upon it. I am sitting, as i write this, in your sacred hammock- a spot where i experienced perhaps the most peaceful and quiet moments i have ever known. Even our 4 year old, Cyrus, kept remarking on the peaceful nature of the desert and la casita. Coming from a four year old--this says a lot! We thank you for your warm hospitality and for the opportunity to "meet" the desert. This has been a marvelous way to welcome a new decade and to celebrate our family. 11/09/07 thru 11/12/07 Dear Cecilia & Ron- You've done such a beautiful thing--creating a place where people can get away fron the "rat race" for awhile to reconnect.
