The weather was perfect: and a little rain one day while swimming at Corcega Beach made it extra fun. And your beautiful home and view are beyond perfect. It was well furnished and cared for. I don't know how you return to Connecticut after a visit!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Villa El Encanto! Evelyn was very gracious and helpful. She was there to greet us and made us feel right at home. The location was perfect and the view was beautiful. The house and grounds were very spacious. We especially enjoyed the pool and outdoor kitchen/bar area. Puerto Rico is beautiful and the people are very nice and relaxed. The house is located just a short walk from Sandy Beach and only a short drive to many great beaches. We surfed, snorkeled and really enjoyed Rincon. The Tamboo Tavern, Tapas, and Casa Verde were all great spots and very close to the house. Thanks for everything.

My wife & I spent our honeymoon in Puerto Rico. After a few days in San Juan, we rented a car and made our way over to Rincon. Villa El Encanto was perfect for us! The house is situated up on a quiet hill with beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding towns. We enjoyed chilling by the pool, while enjoying the great sun and landscape. The location could not be better. Close to the beach and the city of Rincon, but not too close. We always felt like we were returning to a secluded villa, where we would have quiet and privacy. The amenities were well beyond what we needed. Overall, we had a perfect honeymoon, and Villa El Encanto was a large part of that. We would definitely come back on our next trip to Rincon.
Owner response:It is wonderful to hear that your honeymoon at Villa El Encanto was a memorable one! We hope you return to spend many anniversaries at the Villa. Thanks for taking the time to tell us of your experience. Our best regards and luck for your new future together.

Villa El Encanto is truly an "enchanted place". The location high above the ocean is spectacular with beautiful views surrounding the Villa. The Villa is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable and luxurious. It truly is a paradise. My stay was wonderful, so enjoyable, so relaxing and I loved the location, the Villa, Rincon and the Ocean and Caribbean Sea beaches. Hope to go back soon!
Owner response:Thanks for your lovely review! We are happy that you enjoyed Villa El Encanto and its surroundings. Please return soon! Happy Holidays to you and your family.

What a delightful place to stay, a perfect vacation home! Every need is met, every comfort provided in this spacious, welcoming villa. There is no need to leave once arriving, yet plenty to see when you feel adventurous. This was my first visit to Puerto Rico. It made a lasting impression from the friendliness of the landlords to the beautiful pool, lovely flowers blooming, birds singing and the beach.....ah, the beach!
Owner response:Thanks for taking a moment to provide us with your feedback! We appreciate your comments. We are pleased that your stay at the Villa was both relaxing and comfortable. We look forward to your return. Gracias

There are no words to describe the wonderfully relaxing time I had here. Bunch of good friends hanging out, with time and space to decompress and let the worries fall away. My favorite spot is the covered breezeway outside between the pool and driveway, protected from the sun and occasional rain. I can't remember the last time I took a vacation like this! There is so much to see in the area, and the local beaches were quiet in the mornings when we were there. The country is so lush and green, and beautiful. This was exactly what I needed! Thank you for everything.
Owner response:Thanks so much for your lovely review of Villa El Encanto. We are so happy that you enjoyed your visit. Hope you visit us again soon! Muchas gracias.

The pictures do not do this place justice. Villa El Encanto is more than just charming; the views of Anasco, Aguada and Aguadilla from this hill top paradise are awe inspiring. The house is well appointed, tastefully decorated to understate the indoors while exhaulting the natural beauty oudoors. The grounds, which include a nice size swimming pool (my 15 year old competitive swimmer son was able to do his laps in it every morning) are very nicely mantained yet respectful of the lush flora of the tropics. This is PR living at its best. The owner was attentive during our stay and the local property manager was friendly, helpful and unintrusive. We highly recommend this property as an alternative to expensive, overcrowded 4 and 5 star hotels on the east coast.
Owner response:Thanks so much for your wonderful review. We appreciate your comments, and we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Villa El Encanto! We do our utmost to ensure that our customers have a carefree vacation. We look forward to your return to Villa El Encanto. Best wishes to you and your family.

As an annual visitor of the beautiful tropics of Puerto Rico, staying at the Villa El Encanto has only heightened my vacation experience. This luxurious resort is surrounded by an array of exotic plants and even some birds. One time, I even saw a peacock spread their feathers right on the property. Not only can you see stunning ocean views in the outer areas all day (patio, pool, etc.), but also in the kitchen! Adds an extra perk to cooking! The bedrooms are spacious and extremely comfortable. The Villa is in close proximity to many local spots, including cafes and bars. I would relax and enjoy a typical lunch, while watching the blue ocean waves from the bar or chatting with a friendly local. Then take a stroll or swim on Sandy Beach before dancing the night away down the street at another restaurant. Overall, Puerto Rico is truly captivating and Villa El Encanto offers way more than what is expected. Forget the photos, one has to see it for themselves to grasp the wonders. Every year I return with more friends, each saying “I love it here!”
Owner response:It is a pleasure to have you as a regular customer at Villa El Encanto! Thank you so much for your poetic description of the Villa and its surroundings. We are happy that you and your friends enjoy all our resort has to offer, Your generosity and kindness is greatly appreciated. We hope you visit us during whale watching season in March. You can see the whales from our terraces or from the Lighthouse nearby. See you again next year or sooner! Gracias!

Words cannot express the amazing time I had in Puerto Rico and the Villa El Encanto provided the perfect quarters to enjoy my visit. From the beauty of the home to the convenience of its location, how can one go wrong? El Rincon was a great experience from it's gorgeous nearby beaches to the delicious restaurants and exciting night life. Soo much to offer and It took just one day of exploring around and I had the area memorized. The home was also very comfy to say the least. It was very well maintained and with all of the amenities offered, the comfortability made paradise that much more pleasurable. And for the lazy days that you might want to just relax, the satellite TV, cooking facilities, and pool came in very handy. A vacation from my vacation. But all-in-all, I had a great time and I cannot say enough great things about Villa El Encanto to do it justice. I would definitely recommend it to any and everyone and I hope to visit again very soon! Thank you for everything!!!
Owner response:How nice of you to take the time from your busy schedule to provide such great feedback about Villa El Encanto's facilities and neighborhood. We hope you return real soon! Thanks again.

This was my first time witnessing a dream vacation & so it was. It pretty much gave me a complete idea of how I would love to spend the rest of my life when it's possible. I was in awwe the whole time of me being there. Wonderful pool, nice grilling area with a nice grill to barbeque on. Great scenary everywhere I turned, a wonderful bar on the beach in walking distance. Kool interesting locals who were welcoming. A gift store with a lovely inviting lady right across the street from that. This was a "what more can you ask for" type of stay. Relaxing, exciting, endearing, pleasureful all in one. Impeccable to say the least... but of course I didn't. ;)

We have occasionally spent weekends at this gorgeous villa and plan to visit more frequently. The villa was easily found because directions were so clear. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised to see how immaculate and well appointed this villa is kept. The furnishing and supplies were more than adequate for a vacation stay. The check out process went smoothly and we received our security deposit quickly. Evelyn was extremely helpful and gave us tips on were to dine and shop. I would definitely recommend this villa highly to anyone seeking a fun relaxing spot in Puerto Rico.
Owner response:Thank you for your kind words and repeat visits to Villa El Encanto. You and your lovely wife are most gracious guests. I was looking for a tropical getaway to relax and unwind; I was looking for sand and surf; I was looking for tropical palms, mango trees and the coqui; I was looking for a safe place away from city; I found it all at Villa Encanto El Rincon Puerto Rico. I highly recommend this place. This home is a dream home, very spacious and elegant, with all the comforts necessary to avoid distractions. The house was build with a vision. It was built high up on hill in order to capture the essential elements of a truely carribean beach experience - a house with an ocean view (a majestic panoramic view of the ocean), a house with a soothing ocean breeze and a house close enough to the beach to hear the waves roaring in (audible enough to provide a background lullaby by which to fall asleep.) Few places can offer this combination of stimulating soothing sensations. Thank you for allowing me enjoy your dream home - it provided me with a truely tropical experience It was an experience I will always cherish and remember whenever I hear the words -El Rincon Puerto Rico - Ted's and Helen's Place. It's a well situated home for both "just staying put" [quiet, remote yet safe place to get-away from the city noise] and for driving to close by towns and special places. I definitely highly recommend this place and plan to return soon.

We stayed at this home Spring Break 2011 (last week in March). The home was nice and was as described. Evelyn was helpful and even met us in town so we could follow her to the home; it could be very difficult to find on your own. I was a bit disappointed when we went to cook lobsters and found no lobster pot (as is stated on the site). Also, we were provided only with a "starter" kit of laundry soap, dish soap, papertowels, garbage bags and dishwasher soap. I was afraid to run the dishwasher as I had less than a daily ration of soap. I would have brought my own laundry soap if I had known there would be a limited amount available for us. For the amount of money we paid for our stay at the house, I felt like there should have been more than a "starter" kit of supplies or state this on your site so people know what to expect. We did not receive our deposit check back either. Evelyn keeps the check until she has had time to go through the house after you vacate it. Per Helen, Evelyn mailed the check, but we have never received. Overall we had a nice stay but was really bothered by the "starter" kit.
Owner response:Thank you for your valuable feedback. We always like to hear from our customers to ensure your next visit is even better than the first. We are happy that your overall experience at Villa El Encanto was positive. As stated in the Lease Agreement, the security deposit is returned upon check-out inspection of the Villa. Our normal business practice is that If there is time to inspect the Villa before departure, we give it right back in person. In many cases, we return it in the mail with "VOID" written or tear it up at the customer's request. Unfortunately, it seems the check is lost in the mail, but it will not be cashed since it is marked "VOID". We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, and trust you will return to visit us real soon again.

We just returned from a delightful four days at Villa Encante. The house is exactly as the review describes -- its spacious, clean, really well appointed, and lots of outdoor living space as well. There are two covered patio areas in addition to the pool deck. Lots of lounge chairs, plenty of towels and even pool toys for the kids. The house sits atop a fairly steep hill that connects the house to Sandy Beach. Honestly, I thought we would spend more time at the beach, but the house is SO pleasant we wound up spending a great deal of time on the deck and in the pool. The view is AMAZING. It was so delightful to wake up each morning and gaze at the ocean. The house is high up on a hill, so there was always a slight breeze which was lovely. Sandy Beach is not really appropriate for young kids to swim in -- its rough and a surfing beach, so that's one thing to consider. We didn't mind because our kids loved simply playing in the pool and in the sand at the beach. We also loved the town of Rincon -- lots of beach side fish shacks to grab a fish taco, or a smoothie for lunch. We also loved dinner at the Lazy Parrot.
Owner response:We appreciate your lovely review of Villa El Encanto, and more important is that you and your family had a wonderful and relaxing vacation in our surroundings! So happy that your children enjoyed the pool. Sandy Beach is a calm beach from late April through mid September - calm enough for children. We welcome your return to Villa El Encanto and your referrals. Gracias

I spent a week in Dec. 2010, and a week in Feb. 2011 with my wife and two other couples and everyone really loved the place. We were able to rent the Villa and Villita, so it was like having our own private Villa. In Feb. there was a power outage in the area but we didn't even know it because the generator located out in the pool house kicked in automatically, fantastic!
Owner response:Thank you so much for your kind review and your repeat visits. It is our pleasure to count you as another one of our happy customers. Hope to see you again soon at Villa El Encanto.

villa was great! So private and nice. We were nervous since we had been to Puerto Rico before but not Rincon. The pictures do not do the villa justice. It is so much better!! We came with. 2 children and it was great for swimming relaxing and playing. The walk is steep for the little kids but good exercise for us! The beach wasn't the best around but it had good waves for surfing and sea glass for collecting. Others beaches were close and easy to get to so it was fun to explore and then return to complete relaxation at the villa. Be sure you realize what you are renting as there is a main villa and a villita. The villa is the preferred And if you only rent the villita you will be missing out. The top floor is not accessible as it is the owner's spot.

We just spent Christmas week in Rincon and stayed at Helen's beautiful villa. With 6 adults in our family, 3 from Ohio and 3 from Minnesota, we looked forward to spending time together in warm, beautiful Puerto Rico. The villa was perfect! I am picky about cleanliness and let me tell you that this home was IMMACULATE! The property manager, Evelyn, was extremely helpful and we appreciated her mid-week visit to tidy up and do a load of towels. We enjoyed the yard (beautiful, also immaculate!), the view, the poolside area, and the town. This seems to be a very safe neighborhood and the villa is gated, so that made us feel even more secure. We definitely hope to return. I highly recommend this home!

What a wonderful place to stay! This was our first visit to Puerto Rico and we couldn't have asked for a better location than Villa el Encanto. We found the house to be exactly as advertised and immaculate. The beach (just steps away) was the best around for swimming, body surfing and hunting for sea-glass. The tropical grounds felt totally secluded and yet, were conveniently close to everything we needed. The owner (Helen) and property manager (Evelyn) were extremely friendly and informative. Our only complaint is that our time there was too short! We'll definitely plan to return...

So here's the scoop, my family and I have rented this house the last four times we've been in Puerto Rico. We absolutely love the house for numerous reasons. The pool is excellent not just for our children but it deep enough for adults as well. The view from the mountain top is insane. The landscaping, driveway, etc. We have nothing bad to say about the house (which we feel as if its our home when we are there), the people who manage it and the owner(s) are so easy to work with. I love the fact that the Tamboo bar and the beach is walking distance from the house. The fact is we feel at home when we rent this house from Helen. The interior is beautiful and comes equipped with all necessities. Absolutely a blessing and will highly recommend this house to anyone. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was my first time visiting Puerto Rico, and it was an amazing experience. Great location to the beach, and close proximity to downtown and grocery store. The house was tremendously clean, had all the amenities we needed, and I felt very safe in the gated property. We stayed in the Villita and it was perfect for two probably good for two couples as well! Going to bed to the sound of nature was calming and comforting, waking up to the chirping birds and sound of the ocean was amazing, the beds were very comfortable and I woke up refreshed every morning. There is nothing better than waking up to wonderful weather, having a cup of coffee on the balcony then heading down to the pool or beach. The grounds and view were absolutely amazing and there always seemed to be a cooling yet warm breeze. Evelyn (the property manager) was very helpful, friendly and personable. We opted to cook in most nights and anything we needed was there (including updated appliances and a very clean oven), we used the outdoor kitchen and grill for one of our meals and it was great! I also highly suggest getting flan while you are visiting sooo delicious! I would recommend this property to anyone who would like to experience a relaxing home away from home vacation with all of the perks of a tropical getaway! I will also like to add that Aquadilla was a pleasure to fly in and out of, not only is it a small airport but the ride from it to the Villa was easy and pretty quick!

We just returned from a week escape to this beautiful home on a mountainside overlooking the Rincon beachfront. The villa offers privacy, security, an architecturally designed retreat with spacious and tastefully decorated rooms. Special touches included ceiling fans in each rooms, air conditioners which we never needed to turn on, a lovely pool, an outdoor gas grill with adjacent dining facilities, a hammock for reading or naps, beautiful gardens, visitng birds and many nearby places for a meal out or drinks on the beach. We had a truly relaxing week and were sad to have to depart for home.

If you work too many hours each day or live in a busy congested city and want an opportunity to escape Villa El Encanto is the place to be. The house is spacious, tastefully decorated, high ceilings with fans in each room, wonderful tiles on all the floors, clean and well appointed bathrooms, the sun and warmth of Puerto Rico with a cooling breeze from the ocean. Other highlights included the beautiful garden surrounding the pool and the sound of the surf rising up from the beach. We cooked dinners on a outdoor grill and ate by the pool, lunches were often eaten on our veranda just outside the kitchen. We were totally relaxed and at home, while not being at home. My biggest regret was having to get back on a plane to find all that snow still on the ground when I returned to Washington, DC. This is a vacation spot I would gladly return to

This was my first visit to Puerto Rico since I was a kid, and it was my very first time in Rincon. Words cannot describe this Villa. It is simple amazing. My favorite part of the Villa el Encanto is that you can show up with only sandals a bathing suit and a shirt and enjoy every amenity that rincon/Sandy beach has to offer. The little surfing village has surf rentals/lessons or you can just body surf all day (thats what I did). You can walk into Tamboo which is a bar/restaruant right on the beach and only 4 minutes walking from the VIlla. There are also 4-5 other bar/grilles within walking distance. I suggest you try the fish taco from Bungers. On most weekend nights most bars have live music, usually reggae, but hey when in Rome. Another amazing part of this villa is once you walk up the hill you are in complete privacy. No one will bother you. The house is perfect. there is more than enough space to do anything you'd like. Upon arrival the housekeeper Evelyn (sp?) was very helpful with everything and anythign you needed. Directions to town, keys, clicker for the gate, all housing needs. I would/have recommend this to anyone and everyone. It's great for a couple, or 10 people trying to get away from there hectic lives. My last hurrah.....another great feature of this place is it's location in relation to Aguadilla airport. It's only rouhgly 20 minutes to the airport and aguadilla airport is small and very easy to travel in and out of. Everyone speaks English!!!!!!! mostly everyone.

I had the pleasure of staying at Villa del Encanto over the past holidays for a few days. I found the Villa to be a gorgeous spot, extremely well kept inside and beautifully arranged outdoor areas. We were a group of 6 adults and 7 children, and the area was great for them, having all kinds of swimming pool toys, beach towels, BBQ area and enough green areas for kids to run around. Kitchen was very well equipped, everything was very clean and organized nicely. The town was quite pictoresque, a very well known surfing destination in Puerto Rico, we saw a lot of young people but ther were some families with small children as well. We are quite picky with our accomodation and I have to say we were very pleased and hope to come back next year, hopefully for a bit longet time.

This was our first house rental and I was nervous about what to expect. We normally do nice resorts. This time my 2 teenage kids wanted space, my husband wanted privacy and I wanted the same luxury you get at a resort. All our expectations were surpassed at Villa El Encanto!! We LOVED it!! The house and grounds are maticulously maintained and gorgeous. The views, the warm breeze the spectacular outdoor living areas were exactly what this New England family needed. We surfed every morning and then returned to the house to "chill" and regroup (reliable wi-fi for the kids). We walked down the hill to the local bars and restaraunts to find friendly people and great food. Local fruit/veggie stands provided some interesting and yummy new taste treats. It was truly paradise and we wished we were staying longer then the 6 days!! After we left, we went to the other side of the island to a resort (El Conquistador) and we all agreed we liked the house and Rincon MUCH BETTER. Already scheming to go back...

This was our second visit to Villa El Encanto. The home and grounds are absolutely beautiful and exactly as described. The views from the terrace are breathtaking day and night (I could sit there the entire visit and never be bored). We feel very comfortable and right at home when staying here. Everything needed is nearby and easy to get to. We enjoyed visiting Old San Juan and it's historic buildings and landmarks. There are also local fishing charters for a great day on the water. The snorkeling and diving on Desechao Island should not be missed. When we visited in February 2008 we went on an adventure into the mountains and attended the coffee festival in Maricao where we were able to enjoy good music, native arts and crafts, food and of course great coffee. We enjoy visiting the local restaurants and purchasing the fresh fruits available from the street side vendors. I would highly recommend a stay here at Villa El Encanto to everyone. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Once again, we had a wonderful time at the Villa. Evelyn took great care of us and made our stay even more pleasant. The kids loved the pool and we enjoyed many barbeques out at the pool kitchen. The property is very clean and the landscaping is spectacular. I honestly think this is the best property to rent in Rincon! I have already recommended this property to several friends.

What a truely special place to visit. The Villa and its surrounding property is a gorgeous, relaxing, peaceful, and very comfortable place to stay. Both the Villa and Villita el Encanto have every amenity to make you feel at home. Its location is also wonderful! The gardens, pool area and villas are very well maintained and make for a charming, serene, cozy getaway. Not only is the Villa beautiful (what a view!), but Rincon and its surrounding towns are very easy places to get around. Driving to local supermarkets, restaurants, and attractions such as horseback riding, deep sea fishing, diving, surfing and gorgeous beaches were easy to find and fun to explore. The people were very friendly, we felt very safe and secure, and had a very relaxing and fun vacation. I would highly recommend staying at the Villa and/or Villita el Encanto. It's paradise!

The moment we arrived at Villa El Encanto we knew we'd made the right vacation choice. The pictures on the website don't do justice to the villa or the ocean view. The villa is spacious, spotless, and fully equipped, especially the kitchen. Inside and out the villa is immaculate. The rooms are large and the furniture very comfortable. We felt at home right away. The well maintained pool, pool house, and barbeque make for comfortable outdoor relaxing. The grounds, with many flowering plants and unusual palms, are equally inviting. The clean beach, great for surfing, swimming and walking, is a short downhill walk away. Also, there are several good restaurants right on the water. Finally, we must note the warm welcome and detailed orientation provided by the property manager who met us upon our arrival. All in all, Villa El Encanto was the best place we ever stayed. We will always remember it fondly.

This Villa was absolutely amazing. The up-keep and cleanliness was a 10 and the location couldnt have been any better. The views were unbelievable! I stayed at the Villa for a week with 7 close friends and did not want to leave once the end of the week had arrived. If you are looking for a good place to go with close friends or family, this is it. If you like the outdoors, the ocean, and exploring, this is perfect; Or if you want to relax and enjoy perfect scenary, this is great. The people in the area that the villa is located are friendly and helpful with anything that you may need. I would reccommend this Villa and Rincon to anyone! I have all intentions of traveling back to Rincon, PR and to this Villa next time I travel. Villa El Encanto is a perfect 10!!

The perfect place for a perfect vacation. Everything was just as described... very helpful and friendly contacts, beautiful plants and flowers on the grounds, perfectly maintained, and very private, peaceful and quiet. Yet restaurants, the beach, etc. are all within a short walking distance. Very convenient location. Sitting on the patio with the great view was a terrific place to relax at the end of the day. Picture perfect! And you can even get pizza delivered from town!

We had a wonderful time staying in Villa el Encanto. A beautiful house with even more beautiful landscaping. My children loved exploring the grounds and swimming in the pool. Great views and a nice location on top of a steep hill just above Sandy Beach. One small criticism: the price advertised is the small villita not the villa and the villa is just the bottom floor. The second floor is inaccessible and probably used to calculate the expansive 5200 square footage. Other than that, much to reccommend. Caretaker Evelyn and her husband were very nice and very helpful. The wifi went out often with the winds and Evelyn always came by to reset it. My parents stayed at the villita which they enjoyed very much. A space of their own but only steps from the main villa and their grandchildren. If you're eating in like we did because we have 3 small children, look for the seafood man who sells fresh fish in the middle of town from behind his truck. We had some good take out from Bungers. The beach we went to most was family-friendly (small waves) just north of the main town. You can access it through the low-key hotel Rincon by the Sea or by the street before it. A bbq place just north of that on the same road was fantastic for both bbq and fresh seafood. They'll give you a name of another guy who sells fish directly to them. You can call and arrange to meet him. The zoo in Mayaguez was worth the trip. The tropical forest just north of 111 was a waste of time with the kids, but might be worth it you're hikers. Sunset at the lighthouse was always memorable. When the baby was napping we had the pool and papaya coladas to keep us happy. All in all a very nice stay.

The description of the propert was very accurate. It was very clean and the landscaping is absolutely beautiful. The owner provided good customer service, I felt that the fee to pay for cleaning was too high for only a four day stay. I would definitely recommend this property to others looking to stay in the area.

I had the wonderful pleasure of staying at Villa El Encanto with my family. The home is a perfect blend of class and comfort. Its really close to the beach but the best thing for me was the view, it was incredible. When we go back we will definitely be giving you a call.
