We had a great stay here over Christmas. The house worked well for our family of 2 adults and 3 kids 11--15. The quiet morning stroll to the bakery was a great start to every day. It's a perfect location, with nice drives through the countryside to Arles, Nimes, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and of course Les Baux and St. Remy. After touring out and about, returning to our peaceful home in Provence was a relaxing treat. Thanks to Sophie for making this available. She answered our questions, stayed up when we arrived late after troubles the first night with the rental car, and provided everything we needed in the house. The situation of the house makes it private and quiet. I just hope we have a chance to return sometime soon!

Wonderful cottage, hosts and location for a perfect stay. My wife and I spent a week to celebrate her 65th birthday and loved everything about the stay. The listing description was accurate in all respects as were the photos. The cottage and grounds were clean and well-maintained. Sophie and William hosted us to an appertif on their patio and filled us in on special sites and restaurants. We can recommend this cottage unequivocably. Don't miss the local market days, Les Baux, St. Remy, Roussillon, etc. You can be assured that Seven - the lovable family pup - won't miss your arrival home at the end of each day.

Stop looking and stay here! Not only is the apartment and setting perfect, but the location is prime for many of the major sites in Provence. Les Baux, Arles, Eygalieres, Avignon and other destinations are all close by. Plus, the town nearby has great restaurants - our favorite was Fleur de Thyme. Provencal perfection at a reasonable price. On our last day we found an amazing fruit and cheese market in Maussane one town over - I guess we'll just have to come back. We spent our time biking right from the house finding roads with amazing mountain views, and no matter how wonderful our day was, we always enjoyed coming home and resting by the pool with a glass of wine and snacks. Sophie and William are fantastic hosts, accessible and friendly yet sensitive to traveller's needs. It makes a difference when you are treated as if you are special. We hate to leave this wonderful place and hope to return very soon.

We are totally satisfied with our recent stay in this garden cottage. As for the cottage itself, the bedroom with it's kingsize bed, which slept great, and plenty of closet space was very comfortable. We loved having the window on the eastern side to allow the morning sunshine to come into the room. The kitchen was well supplied with microwave, stove/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and the necessary coffee pot and toaster. We had a great time, and though we were just 2, there was room for several more. Having a private patio surrounded by rosebushes and new wisteria was a treat. We spent many moments here, having morning coffee, lunch, and wine & cheese in the afternoons before heading off to dinner, or cooking at home. Sophie and William are fantastic hosts. The welcoming apertif time was great. We received a great rundown on all the local sights including local markets and grocery stores as well as the historic sites. If there were any questions, Sophie was seemingly always available to give us answers. The layout of the cottage and house with the pool made it seem as though we were the only ones using it. Returning "home" after a day of sightseeing, the pool was very welcome to refresh ourselves. The town of Les Baux is only about 5 minutes away, a don't miss site, both the ruins and the town itself. We travelled easily to Arles; Avignon; Cassis, on the Mediterrean; the Carmarge; Orange; St Remy; The Pont du Gard, and the mountain towns around Vaison la Romaine. Having as much time as we had, we were able to leisurely take in the different sites and managed to spend a couple of days just hanging out around the pool. Sophie and William , you have a wonderful spot that you so willingly share with those of us fortunate enough to find you. I would highly recommend this cottage to couples wanting private time, families, age not a barrier. We would love to keep this a secret, but we know that it is here and can make reservations far enough out to be sure to be able to stay again if/when we return to Provence. If you are a traveler that has left a pet at home, Sophie & William have a lovable dog named 7, he is very friendly and curious.

My wife and I stayed here for ten weeks when we first arrived in France. It's a beautiful little cottage, with lots of nice little touches to the decor. The owners are delightful and speak good English. Le Paradou is a tiny village that really captures the Provence flavour, and it's a great base for explore the stunning countryside of the Alpilles. St Remy de Provence and Les Baux are very close, Arles is twenty minutes away, and Avignon a half-hour. There are countless excellent restaurants, but if you really want to spoil yourselves I'd recommend La Cabro d'Or by Les Baux

Our family absolutely LOVED it here! IT really becomes a “home away from home.” The place had everything! We went shopping for some things, but luckily anything we forgot was right here at “home.” We had a terrific time and the house was the perfect arrangement for us. We really appreciated your attention to detail - you made us feel really comfortable so that we didn't have to worry about the little things. We got a lot of use out of the guidebooks, and your shopping recommendations were right on target. Anyway, thanks for making our first 'internet vacation' a success.
