Specially designed butcher block makes the large kitchen counter and breakfast bar a favorite spot to eat. All making this a unique and distinctive home with the feel of True Mountain living. Having taken great pride in decorating this 2200 Sq foot home with all new and unique accessories and "rustic contemporary" furniture.
We have two well decorated bedrooms that open out to a secluded patio with views of the canal and mountain ranges. One has a queen feather bed and the other a raised double and twin. All new and decorative linens and bedspreads. Both with ample closet space.
The recreation room has Satellite/TV; VCR/DVD for movie viewing and CD/radio player. We have a short wave radio for those that might enjoy listening to overseas stations. The rec room also has many varied books to choose from. We have a queen pullout couch with comfortable mattress and linens. The main bathroom has an all new extra large 6' soaker tub and accessories and large slate shower for your relaxing enjoyment. The powder room on the main floor has a copper sink and copper accessories and slate counter tops and floors.
We have a large loft/library with panoramic views and comfy chairs to relax in while reading from a large and varied collection of books. We even have a craft basket or both adults and children; craft table and journaling area to make your trip more memorable. Bring up your Creative Memories Book and finish it on our large desk or table in the loft. Pick from some of our colorful background pages. We have just added a new premium raised queen airbed with all new linens in our loft.
Not to forget games of all types and a new ping pong table in our recreation room. Next to a private lower level patio with areas to read, eat, talk or just take in the views.
Look through our binoculars as we have a lot of great wildlife to observe including a family of moose in our neighborhood! Watching the ducks throughout the day meandering down the canal is also a sight to remember. Sailboat, jet skis and pontoon boat rentals and some of the best fishing in the Rockies are all here on one of the three lakes. Satellite TV, DVD and VHS players available to enjoy movies you bring with you or enjoy ours! Our local video rental store has a great selection, too.
The Grand Lake Golf Course and Cross Country Ski Touring Center are only five miles away. Restaurants, gift shops, miniature golf, horseback riding, Repertory Theater and the best Fourth of July fireworks in the mountains!
Hike in Rocky Mountain National Park (maps provided) or drive over Trail Ridge Road to see moose, big horn sheep or herds of elk.
Lots of fine dining restaurants, many with great lake and mountain views. And even some with live music for dancing. Fall Aspen viewing is spectacular, too. In the winter, ski Winter Park just a 30 minute drive or Sol Vista a short 15 minutes away. Numerous groomed snowmobile trails abound in the Grand Lake area.
The golfing is great with many new courses within an easy drive. So, pamper yourself with this fully furnished home located in one of the most beautiful regions of Colorado at the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. Great house for a honeymoon or those celebrating their anniversary as it has a very romantic feel. We feel this home is best suited for a family or 1 to 2 couples.
