But Ríu is a stone farmhouse built in 1768 and restored in 2005, nestled in the Mediterranean forest, 20 minutes from the beaches of Alcossebre. It has a saltwater pool, a large garden and renewable energy supplies. A unique place to unwind and enjoy nature. Ideal for individuals and families with children who want to holiday in an area of Mediterranean forest, with the proximity of the sea and the tranquility of a farm in the countryside.
The house has a system of treating drinking water (osmosis) which makes it suitable for drinking.
It is surrounded by native plants: lavender, thyme, carob and pine trees and olive and fruit trees.
The house has 5 bedrooms, 2 on the ground floor (with twin beds) and 3 on the first floor (two rooms with beds of 1.50 and a twin). There are also four extra single beds. On each floor there is a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink.
Each apartment has a bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and bidet. On the first floor is the living room with television.
On the ground floor there is a dining room with fireplace and two fully equipped kitchens, each with access to its own outdoor furnished porch. The main kitchen also features gas oven, a wood stove and paella. There are also portable barbecue.
All rooms in the house are heated. Additionally there will be winter firewood available to turn on the fireplace.
In the garden is a separate room conservatory with seating and dining areas, a pool, a playground, trampoline, ping-pong, petanque with equipment and mountain bikes.

On arrival at the house guests will be greeted by the owner's representative and by our landlord who lives in a house with separate garden, about 100 meters of the house, not visible from it. It will be available at any time if problems arise. Prices and Services
The house is rented for a minimum 2 nights. The price per person is 30 € per person / night. The minimum price for rent is 300 € / night. For groups of over 10 people, each extra bed, up to four, has a cost of 20 € / night. For discounts for longer stays please contact us personally. Infants and children 1 and 2 are free if they sleep in the same bed as parents or bring your own cot.
The cost of power from the wood stove is 30 €. Charcoal for barbecue can bring guests to our manager or buy 3 € sack.
For stays longer than a week, the price includes cleaning and linen change weekly.

The Farmhouse is located in the Rambla de Sant Miquel in terms of Alcalá de Xivert, Baix Maestrat, near the coast, with terraces of olive trees and carob walk Mediterranean mountain valley and hillside peaceful valley lonely. Habitat and ethnology
The Sierra de Irta is one of the last bastions of undeveloped Mediterranean coast, a place where the pine and carob and olive terraces reach coves, rocky beaches and the seafront.
Mountainous, parallel and adjacent to the coast, more than 20 km in length, where sea and mountains meet with broad historical heritage Cordillera. Of interest is the relict olmeda Mas del Senyor, located at the confluence of two ravines and under a water birth.
They are good populations of raptors, both diurnal and nocturnal, among these, the presence of Bonelli's eagle (Aquila fasciatus). Other predators are the short-toed eagle (Circaetus gallicus), buzzards (Buteo buteo), kestrel (Falco tinnunculus), the tawny owl (Strix aluco) and abundant owl (Athene noctua).
In the coastal environment are important species, listed as vulnerable if the Audouin (Larus audouinii) Gull and Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo).
The mammal population includes widespread species such as wild boar (Sus scrofa), foxes (Vulpes vulpes), marten (Maretes foina), genet (Genetta Genetta), badger (Meles meles) or the red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris), rabbit abounds in the mountain areas and the hare in the terraced areas.
Of importance is the presence of the Mediterranean tortoise (Testudo Hermanni), only land turtle circunmediterránea distribution of the remaining small isolated towns along the Mediterranean coasts of Italy, France and Spain. It was reintroduced in the Sierra and maintains a growing population.
