  The cabin was lovely, with plenty of sleeping room with the upstairs & downstairs King beds! The loft was adorable (2 twins) and the view from the deck was serene and relaxing. Not too difficult a driveway either (considering how bad some of them can be). We definitely recommend that you take the 10 minute drive up the subdivision road (past the cabins at the top of the ridge) to see the waterfall! We almost didn't go since it was our last evening and we had just gotten back from being out all day, but we are SO GLAD we did! The waterfall was the cherry on top of the perfect cabin getaway vacation. A++ !

  My husband, children, and I spent a wonderfully, peaceful week in the Serenity Cabin June 18 thru June 22. We had the best time on Buck Mountain. The location of the cabin is perfect. Just 20 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Boone and 15 from Walmart and great restaurants in Wilkesboro. The cabin had everything we need from a worry free vacation. Flat screen TVs, big comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, super clean linens, books to read, and brochures to local attractions to help you plan your daily adventures. Our favorite part of the vacation was sitting on the covered porch, drinking coffee, looking out at the mountain view watching the humming birds drink from the feeders. We will definitely be back for another stress free, worry free, peacefully secluded vacation at your beautiful Serenity Cabin. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us.

  Dear Debra Jo, I just wanted to send you and your family a thank you for sharing your beautiful log cabin with us. The reason we booked Serenity cabin was the price. In fact, my husband was a very anxious that the place was not going to be good since it was only $600 for the week. So when we walked in - we were so surprised and happy. The cabin is beautiful and clean and had everything we needed. The trip was one our family really needed. We treated our daughter and her husband because he is going to Afganistan in 3 weeks. They loved the fact that they had their own little "apartment" with thier own bed, bath, tv and fireplace. We saw hummingbirds everyday and one evening saw 3 deer. We ate at 3 of the places on your website but liked Brushy Mountain Bar B Que the best. The ribs and ice cream were great and we at too much. We hope to come back in the fall and look forward to seeing all the fall colors on your beautiful mountain. All the Best, Ellen and Bill

  This was a wonderful cabin getaway! Very clean, and just as advertised. We enjoyed the hiking, waterfall, nearby attractions like Grandfather Mountain, and time just relaxing, unwinding and being together in secluded nature. Highly recommended - by both parents and our children!

  This is a lovely,easily accessible, cabin nestled in the woods, very private but with a Wal-Mart and Grocery store about 20 minutes away. Very very clean, and I am particular about that! We loved that there are three separate levels of living area: large upper loft with true high-speed internet, main floor AND an entire lower floor suite! The deck has a stunning view of the mountains and a beautiful sunset every single night can be witnessed. Beds are very comfortable, nice sheets (the same as I have at home). A little over a mile away is a wonderfully kept secret it seems: a BEAUTIFUL, lush, private, waterfall, even with a little 'beach' and picnic table and shallow water for wading and playing. Waterfall is a great place for a photographer (bring your wide angle lens)! Have nothing negative to say about the property and area whatsoever. Thanks! Oh yeah, icing on the cake is that the Blue Ridge parkway is basically a straight shot up Highway 421 only few minutes away!!

  We loved the cabin. It was very comfortable and the view of the mountains was so refreshing and beautiful. Our son and his girlfriend joined us for 4 days and brought bear, our dog. We love that you allow pets to stay and enjoy the vacation too. We went up to grandfather mountain and loved the waterfall, We had a picnic there and went hiking. Our son enjoyed the privacy of the downstairs. This was our second time renting from you in 4 months. We loved your house in Little Torch Key too. They both were so homey and inviting and spotlessly clean. We wish you had a home in every state, We would enjoy them all I,m sure.

  September 1 - 30, 2007. Loved the cabin. Saw lots of deer and humming birds. It was everything we had hoped for, and more than we expected. Loved all the hiking nearby. Blue Ridge Parkway was breathtaking. Stone Mountain, and Grandfather Mountain are just two of the beautiful places nearby. Wished we could have stayed longer.

  The cabin is in a wonderful location. It is absolutely beautiful. The dect to sit on is great to watch the sunset and look over the mountains. The cabin is very clean and up to date. The waterfall and the fishing pond is very clean and beautiful. This is a piece of heaven for a get away place. Everyone must stay here for a peaceful quiet get a way. I loved my stay.

  Debra Jo and family, We have stayed in numerous log homes in NC & TN and your home by far is the cleanest,most peaceful and relaxing place we have stayed in. The location of the home is perfect and the privacy and views are wonderful. Buck Mountain is a great location for a home,views,views views!!!! Your home has a great floor plan and the furniture is so comfortable. We just loved it and enjoyed our stay from February 10th-17th,2007. We spent several days driving around the Buck Mountain roads. It's such a big place with big views. The waterfall and pond is beautiful!!!! The Patterson's are so nice and they maintain and keep your home so clean. Your home is the cleanest vacation rental we have stayed in. I am so glad you allow pets,this is very important to most pet owners who travel. When we win the NC Lottery,we are headed to Buck Mountain to stay!!!!!! Hopeful you will add more pictures to your website showing the beauty of your home at it's fullest. We look forward to renting again!
