Modern 2800 square foot, 4 bedroom retreat with 775 square foot great room, large deck, screened porch, 6-person Jacuzzi hot tub, BBQ grill, balconies off 2 bedrooms, and gourmet kitchen. Double lot with fenced yard. Available year around with owner and host only 4 houses from Woodhaven and readily available full time.

The bedrooms include a Master bedroom with a King bed, Jacuzzi tub and separate shower, the second bedroom has a Queen bed, the third room has 2 trundles, and Day bed with pop-up in the family room/bedroom. Smoke Free.

For adults a 50" Sony HD TV with 2-tuner DVR & cable with movies, a computer with wireless broadband internet access, phone with free USA calling, poker setup and air hockey. For children highchair, portable crib, 32" HD TV, desk, toys, books, games and more. Southshore Train Station and the beach are walking distance. Dogs are allowed, HOWEVER, an inquiry about the terms and policies MUST be made before booking.

Woodhaven is perfect for vacations, family gatherings, reunions, holidays, retreats, and in an exceptional birding and nature area. It is located one hour from Notre Dame, making it convenient for football games and graduations. It is also close to Valparaiso and Purdue North Central University. Easy one and a quarter hour train ride or 45 minute car ride to downtown Chicago.

  • A wonderful space in the woods, here you enjoy nature from a wonderful home. The site is beautiful and the house is grand. It comes fully equiped with all the things you might need and many that make the home a special place away from home. Our family all enjoyed the time we spent in Beverly Shores. The country home makes the trip grand. We especially enjoyed the Hot Tub nessled in the woods. My wife said it was the best place she had celebrated her birthday. It is especially confrontable, well decorated and relaxing. We will return.

  • Woodhaven was a perfect match for our small family group during the week, but also large enough for a family reunion on a weekend! The facilities were exceptionally nice for a beach rental. And mentioning the beach, it was a perfect spot for small children. Of course we adults enjoyed it as well! Thank you for the making the house so child friendly.   • What a wonderful place to vacation!!! Woodhaven is a great place for family to gather. It is very spacious and all the extras are there for us to enjoy. The grandkids enjoyed their area with the TV and games. The walk to the beach is short--we spent five days enjoying the sand, water, and sun. We hope to return next year. Thanks Henry and Mary.

We all thought it was a wonderful home in a great location and beautifully and completely equipped with nearly every convenience.   • We had such a great time at Woodhaven with our children and their families traveling in to meet us there. The 12 of us loved the hot tub, the large comfortable living room, the toys and great kitchen. The screened porch helped make a 10th birthday party extra special. Many memories made at the lake, and in Chicago, will be long-cherished. Obvious efforts to accommodate guests were much appreciated.   • Fabulous! You've thought of everything a family could ever need, and then some. The tlc and attention to detail was everywhere to see. All three generations of our family had a wonderful time. The kids made full use of the air hockey, the thoughtfully provided markers, construction paper, games, the "Felicity" books, the wagon and beach toys, not to mention all the toys in the play area. The large screen TV was popular. My daughter says she was extremely careful with the toys, and has a big Thank You for the free rein... My mom loved the kitchen the appliances & provisions and we got a taste of home cooking on Sunday - nice! Thanks also for the wi-fi, use of the computer, and the chance to get some of our laundry done while there. And of course the location was perfect for beach outings - just a perfect peaceful and private retreat. Please accept a big all-around thank you. And we do hope to be back.   • We LOVED our stay at Woodhaven! We were the first scrapbooking group to stay there and will be back. There were only five of us so there was plenty of room. We felt comfortable the minute we walked in the door. They have thought of everything you might need during your stay. It is a peaceful area, the beach was great and the house is very clean.
