We are on the North Shore of the Canal, a mile from Belfair State Park, just 90 minutes to downtown Seattle by car and twenty minutes to the Bainbridge ferry to Seattle. This is the warm and sheltered end of the Canal, a secluded jewel ideal for swimming and watersports.
Low tide exposes acres of clam and oyster beds and a sandbar that extends to the end of our 480-foot dock. The sandbar provides safe wading and endless marine exploration for the kids. The dock's two large floats are perfect for sunbathing, swimming, docking a ski boat or launching our paddle boat or kayaks. There are mooring buoys and the public boat launch is just one mile away.
Our two cozy, tastefully remodeled beach cottages are situated in a quiet family compound, one of the largest and most unique properties on the Canal. This is where family memories are made and friendships forged. In addition to the beach activities there is a large grass playfield ideal for volleyball, badminton, croquet or ball sports. A separate recreation hall has ping pong, foosball, air hockey and a slot car track.
Rent one or both cottages for a week or three night minimum. "The Heron" has two bedrooms, one with a queen and the other with a twin trundle bed, full bath, fireplace, living room and den with a daybed/couch. French doors open to the large sun deck, lawn and the beach, all ideal for outdoor barbecues or just relaxing with a favorite book.
"The Eagle" has one bedroom with a king bed, a large sleeping loft with two trundle beds (sleeps four) and a futon/couch in living room. It is comfortable and airy, perfect for families or a couple.
Our Main House: May also be available to rent with both cabins for larger groups.
