Take a 4 wheel drive on the north end to Freeman Park Recreation area. Or fish off the pier.
You have a choice at Carolina Beach - surf fishing, charter fishing or the pier.
Sit on the deck and look at the sunrise, enjoy the two recliners and watch the new 42inch t.v.
in the living room.
Beautiful beach without crowds! Relax in your private vacation condominium located steps from the sand and close to all daytime fun in the sun. Paddle boats on the lake. Bike rentals available. Just a short walk from our condo is the marina with daily departures on fishing charters, sunset cruises, dinner cruises and boat rentals. JUST BRING YOUR BEACH TOWELS.
There are rinse-off showers on the ground floor. In our storage area, we have beach fold-up chairs, beach lounge fold-up chairs, beach umbrella,fishing rods, beach toys and some buckets and shovels and noodles for the kids - so there is no need to haul all that stuff on top of your car. (Just PLEASE rinse off and dry before returning to the closet). There also is a lovely petting zoo about 10 miles north of the beach on the right hand side before Monkey Junction.
There is so much to do at Carolina Beach. A fantastic new North Carolina Aquarium is at the south end of the island next to historic Fort Fisher. Daily programs include divers who swim with sharks and rays and a touching pond for the kids. Fireworks,movies and rides are all right here at Carolina Beach. A fifteen minute drive takes you to the city of Wilmington. The historic riverfront downtown has brick streets, waterfront restaurants, loads of antique shops, horse-drawn carriage rides etc.
Across the river is the battleship North Carolina with daily tours.
We just put two new boxspring and mattresses in the 2nd bedroom and a mattress topper on the King size bed. The two bathrooms have been done over new wallpaper and floor etc. It is hard to get a good picture but the master has a double sink tub/shower and the second one has a single sink and shower. Both are immaculate

Carolina Beach is a Family orientated beach community. We can spend time on the beach, go fishing, enjoy the amusement area (in walking distance) and of course Britts Donuts. The restaurants are casual, very reasonable and very kid friendly. In the summer there is outdoor movies, music etc. We have enjoyed every moment at Carolina Beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo! The pics are accurate as was the description given. Everything was neat and well-organized! I enjoyed the 'quiet' beach (our stay was Sept. 17-24) and the quiet spot where the condo is located. Bill & Janet were excellent in their communication with us as we asked questions regarding this rental! They sent us an extensive information packet about all there was to see/do in the Carolina beach/Wilmington area!!! Since my husband was sick the first 4 days of our vacation, we basically 'relaxed'......but we did take the ferry across to Southport one day which was really a great and inexpensive trip. Fort Fischer is a beautiful area. Wish we had taken our bikes!! We would highly recommend this rental....and we send our THANKS to Bill & Janet for sharing their 'beach place' with us!!! They are excellent to work with!!!

We had a great time at your beach condo. The listing descriptions and photos were right on. The condo was clean, well maintained, cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed. The flat screen TV was a huge plus. The LivRm, BathRm and master BR spacious. Ocean views wonderful (full moon over the ocean all week). King bed gave us a good night's sleep. The beach, just steps away, was quiet, relaxing, clean, soft sand, warm waters, and plenty of summerlike weather. Great restaurants both in Carolina Beach (Ocean Grill, Michael's, A&W) and Wilmington (Caprice Bistro, Fish Bites, Circa 1922). The play we saw at Thalian Hall in Wilmington (only 20 minutes away) was terrific and inexpensive. The extra day we booked was a nice bonus. Our property/home search went well, we'll continue to explore the various communities around Wilmington. We hope to stay at your place same time next year!

My husband and I enjoyed a quiet week (9/18/10-9/25/10) of relaxation in this clean, well-equipped condo. The views from the deck and the living area are worth a visit. Carolina Beach is a quaint, sea-side town, with numerous locally owned restaurants and diners. This condo has everything you need for your vacation; you will not be disappointed. If you want beautiful views, uncrowded beaches, in a spacious condo, this place is for you. We hope to return in the future and would not hesistate to rent from Janet again. She made the process easy and was most helpful in providing info about the area.

My husband & I just returned from a weeks stay at Janet & Bill's condo. It was everything they said it was. The unit was clean, well stocked, and had amazing oceanfront views. We loved sitting on the deck and enjoyed watching the dolphins. The beaches were very wide and clean. Not too crowded. We highly recomend this condo. Thanks!

My husband and I and our Daughter and her husband stayed for two weeks at the Condo. We found it to be well furnished and lots of cooking utensils. The Condo had a feel of a cottage by the sea. We enjoyed using the Beach chairs and umbrella when it wasn't too windy. We traveled quite a distance, so didn't have room to bring a lot of things. The area was quiet yet close to the Boardwalk and Restaurants. The Harbour Master Restaurant was within walking distance and we enjoyed our breakfasts there looking at the boats along the Marina. Many of the buildings and colors reminded us of Charleston. A trip to Southport on the ferry is a must. We have gone to Myrtle Beach for years and I really appreciated the slower pace and the quiet and lack of lights and Tall buildings. Our vacation was thoroughly enjoyable and I would recommend this condo to others. Janet was most helpful and I appreciated being able to contact her when I had a question. It is so much better to be able to talk directly with the owner.

Had a great time last July 2009. So much in fact that we just booked for this July as well. You will not be disappointed with the condo our the location. The beach is private so there is very little crowds. The only thing we did wrong was pack so much stuff! Everything you need is there and all you will need is plenty of shorts and sun screen. I really liked the morning walks on the beach, yes, I'm a man. Then having coffee on the balcony and watch the shrimp boats with the dolphins swimming behind them.Make sure you check out the battleship North Carolina and the aquaruim that is only a few miles down the road.Rent this condo. You will not be disappointed.

We just got back from the condo today and we already miss it! We had so much fun watching the Dolphins pass by, playing in the warm ocean and searching for shells. We even found a Sharks tooth. If you go, do not miss out on Squigleys Ice Cream or Britt's (fresh) Donuts. Take the ferry to Southport and really cap your vacation off. Thanks Janet and Bill for letting us add these memories to our family vacations.

We stayed at the condo in October for a "girls" weekend with my sister and my cousin, while also visiting my daughter who is attending UNCW. We relaxed with an awesome view, beach walks, coffee on the terrace. We had plenty of room to move around--all the comforts of home...loved it, loved it, loved it.

My family and I go each year and are never disappointed. The children can't wait to hit the beach and the arcades. So many extra curricular things to do within a close range. You can't possibly be disappointed.
