Why the Owner Chose Beach Barber
This location is closest to beautiful and historic Windansea Beach. This is where I surfed in High School and hung out in the summer. This street was lined with old very large cypress tress that created a tunnel effect. New ones are growing up to replace them. Close to shops, unique neighborhoods and walking distance to the village of La Jolla.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Walking back from a swim at the beach we use the outdoor shower and hop in the Jacuzzi to really relax! Sitting on the front porch and enjoying the warm sunshine while I have my morning coffee or at lunch time with a book. Walking or biking to the village of La Jolla along the scenic coastline. Farmers market on Sunday. The back patio is great for entertaining with lounge chairs,jacuzzi, BBQ and large marble table that seats 8. The house is equipped with everything whether you are on vacation or cooking a Thanksgiving Dinner. Wood burning fireplace is so cozy in the winter and the AC chills the house down in about 12 minutes. Privacy with the Master bedroom at one end of the house and the guest room at the other.

My husband and I currently live in Maui, Hawaii - but La Jolla is my home.
No place else like it! I can walk to the beach and see at least 5 people I grew up with. We all share a common bond of appreciation for La Jolla's beauty and sophistication.

I highly recommend this beautiful little piece of paradise two short blocks from the famous Windansea beach. It is very clean, well stocked, comfortable, AWESOME location, and the hot tub is great. Everything has been updated and check in was easy, thank you!

Having lived in La Jolla in my youth, I was so happy to find this wonderful property! Just a stroll to the beach and an easy walk to all the best local restaurants. I come down from L.A. park my car and walk everwhere. So relaxing. Both units are tastfully decorated...the front unit being the more sophisticated of the two. The owner has provided all you could need for a beach holiday from bicycles to surfboards. The Mandarin House, up the street, has great food.

My family just returned from a lovely vacation in La Jolla at Windansea Beach House. We really enjoyed the location. It is an easy walk to Windansea Beach, and if you are a runner, it is a beautiful run along the ocean from the house to La Jolla cove and back. Round trip is about 4-5 miles depending on where you turn back. We enjoyed El Pescador, Georgies, and several other wonderful restaurants and shops in the area. We found a Trader Joes not too far from the house, and it was great to stock up on lunch foods to bring to the parks. It was only a short drive to Legoland, Sea World, the Zoo, Safari Park, and Torrey Pines State Park from the house. The house itself was small, but nicely finished and clean. It was a pleasant place to come home to after being out all day. Just the right size for a family of four. The kids loved the jacuzzi. It was nice to have outdoor space in the front and back for relaxing. One thing I would suggest is providing a few more basics like bath soap and laundry detergent. We had to buy those, as well as shampoo and toilet paper. I guess that might be standard, but I wished the people before us had supplied us as well as I ended up doing for the people coming after! Other than that it was a great house, nice neighborhood, and I would stay there again.

This little cottage is a perfect beach getaway! Great space, couldn't be better located. Back porch with grill and hot tub is fantastic. Perfect for a family with a couple kids or two couples.

Very clean, casual and cosy home with fun designer touches. Close to beaches, surf and sunsets. All comforts on the premises, easy to use kitchen, bbq, and washer dryer. We enjoyed the combination of casual beach life and high end La Jolla for great shopping, top restaurants for dining out. The owner was available for questions.whenever we had questions.

Really enjoyed staying at your house in La Jolla; the Windansea Beach House. Great location, what a sweet place to spend some time! Nice to be in a quite neighborhood away from tourists yet so close to everything, we especially liked being able to walk to the famous Windansea beach and most places in the village, it was very convenient having good restaurants, yoga and shopping so near. We would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in beautiful La Jolla. Hope to be back next time we are in Cali.

My family and I stayed at this property this past Summer and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The home was in good condition and has an ideal location relative to the beach. It is one of the few houses so close to the beach that has A/C, which was something very important to us. If seeking a quaint home in close proximity to an outstanding beach, we would highly recommend it to others.

My fiancée and I stayed at the Windansea Beach House for 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location is fantastic, only a few doors from the spectacular windansea beach. We love the beach and array of outdoors activities in this area. Every day we had a new adventure ranging from surfing the local brakes, canoeing at La Jolla Shores, exploring the area on our bikes, reef walks at low tide, to great hikes at Torrey Pines. We ended each day sipping cocktails on our porch while watching a beautiful sunset! When we felt like going out to a nice restaurant we were only a few minutes’ drive/bike ride from Pacific Beach or downtown La Jolla. The owner has thought of every detail to create a beautiful home to help you relax while on vacation. I will definitely be staying at this house on my return trip to La Jolla.
