Our condo is on the 18th floor of the Ilikai, a waterfront building in Waikiki. It's proximity to beaches, great shopping, variety of restaurants and many activities makes it an ideal vacation spot for families and/or couples.
Renovation was completed on Jan 2009. Beautiful flooring, modern color schemes, new air conditioner, new bathroom and kitchen. The unit includes free wireless high speed (cable) internet access. Unit 1801 has beautiful city and mountain views. The property has a swimming pool, restaurants, comfortable lobby, and grand lanai overlooking Ala Wai Marina and Waikiki beach.

The weather was great, the service awesome: thank you so much Doreen. The place was incredible. It was as advertised and very tastefully decorated. It was very neat, very clean and just spacious enough. The location was really good because shoppin (Ala Moana Mall) is easily walkable as are a ton of restaurants. We would not hesitate to return to this unit and highly recommend it. We saw a few other units while we were there and actually preferred ours. We really liked that view at night. Talking to other renters and they said it was actually noisier on the beach side (bar and restaurants with entertainement can be noisy). So don't let that deter you. We were there for a month and really enjoyed ourselves. That lagoon (Duke Kahanamoku) between the hotel and the beach is a beautiful touch especially is one is not a good swimmer: safer and quieter.
Recommended for:Age 55+.

This was the best vacation I have ever had. I have stayed in many hotels and condo but this was the most outstanding unit that I have ever stay at. It in the best location of waikiki, everything is in walking distant. The condo feel just like home with everything that you need right inside the unit. The unit face the mountain side and not the ocean, but the view of the mountain at night while you sitting on the lanai is awesome.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Also no free internet like ad said and there was not place to eat in the room. The bar stools where so filthly that we put our own towels over them when we sat down because we did not know what was on them. The air conditioner which was suppose to be new was not cooling the room we had to go and buy a fan just to be able to sleep. Also reported this and nothing was done on that either. The hotel itself was very nice and very nice staff. Beware of this unit and try to find another in the building and you should be fine. There was no air in the elevators or hallways so it was warm in the upper floors but the breeze in the courtyard of the lobby was awesome and very beautiful.
Owner response:Property Manager Sorry the client felt it was not clean. We have free internet and yes it works fine. Yes she did contact me about the air conditioner and the drapes. I did have the air conditioner check and it's working great. Here what my maintenance discovered on the air conditioner, the setting was set on dry air..As for the bar stools that sad to hear that it's filthly my cleaning person disinfect everything that is touch by cleints. I have one of the most excellent cleaning person that takes pride in cleaning my unit.. I have been renting my unit for 5 years and never had a complain, check my tracking "none"., in fact I have returning cleint that come back every year. Thank You for your time.
