If you are looking for value priced accommodations in a 2 bedroom rental villa on St. John, in the beautiful United States Virgin Islands, you have found it!
Luna Vista is the ground floor apartment of a two story private home in the middle of the island, only a short distance to the Northshore, the best beaches on St. John. The owners, Bruce and Jan live upstairs, manage and are available to assist you at any time with your stay. Luna Vista is at an elevation of approximately 1000 feet, faces east to capture the magnificent 'down island' views and breezes of the Sir Francis Drake Channel and the British Virgin Islands.
There are two bedrooms. The larger has a king size bed, armoire and large dresser. There is a ceiling fan and air conditioner if needed on still summer nights. The second bedroom has two twins which can be converted to a king upon request. There is also a ceiling fan and air conditioner in this room. The living/dining room has a couch, loveseat and dining table to seat four. An entertainment center with 42 inch plasma tv and stereo make watching movies a good way to end the day. There are two ceiling fans in this area to keep you cool. The 'galley' style kitchen has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal if you desire. Full size refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, gas cooktop, convection/microwave oven, stainless steel sink and small appliances along with granite countertops make this a real gourmet kitchen. If you prefer to cook outdoors, there is a large covered porch with stainless steel 30,000 BTU gas barbeque and table for four. And last, but not least, to cool you down is a 'splash pool' with a small deck and lounge chairs.
The temperatures are moderated by the altitude and are around 70 degrees or less at night and 80 degrees in the daytime in the winter. The temperatures are around 75 degrees or less at night and around 85 degrees in the day during the summer. These temperatures are almost 5 degrees cooler than at sea level. |
