This charming house, consisting of two separate townhomes, is located one block west of north Broadway, close to Skidmore College. It is an easy walk to the downtown area.
The East Unit has a victorian motif. The first floor has a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, dining and living rooms. A combination washer/dryer is also located on the first floor. Off the main entrance is a beautiful elevated sheltered porch. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom contains two closets, two dressers and a full bath. One of the other bedrooms has a full size bed, dresser and closet. The remaining bedroom contains a single bed and a closet. A full separate bath is also located upstairs. Outside there is a gas grill, table and chairs.
The West Unit reflects a more contemporary design. The first floor has a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, a dining room, a full living room and bath. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, a bath and a washer/dryer area. An outdoor deck is located off of the living room through a patio door. A gas grill, table and chairs are provided to enjoy the ambiance of the outdoors beneath a large shade tree.
This quiet neighborhood location is close to downtown and minutes to the race track. Nearby is Saratoga State Park, which offers golf on several courses, tennis, swimming in a newly restored historic pool and mineral baths and spas. Also within the park is the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), which offers nightly seasonal performances of the New York Ballet, Philadelphia Orchestra and special concerts.
Nearby is Skidmore College which sponsors many cultural events. Polo matches are available for spectators on several evenings weekly throughout the summer season. Congress Park, located in the heart of downtown, is home to a beautifully restored carousel, summer concerts and the historic Canfield Casino, which is now a museum and utilized for special events.
The thoroughbred racing meet is the pinnacle of the summer season, beginning in late July and continuing to Labor Day. In addition, harness racing is conducted on most nights at Saratoga Raceway. A casino is also located at the raceway.
Within a short drive, many other activities are available. Lake George offers all types of recreational and sightseeing opportunities. Great Escape has an exciting amusement park as well as a new indoor water park. Outlet shopping and antique shops are located nearby as well. |
