The house is furnished in a beachy comfortable upscale style, and is spacious and comfortable.
The private boardwalk to the beach is just a few feet away, a beach access road and trolley stop are just around the corner. In Town location and close to all of Port Aransas amenities and the miles of beautiful beaches.
View of the gulf from both decks and the upper deck is a great area to work on that tan. Lounge on the deck furniture and enjoy the balmy breezes and sounds of the sea. Both decks have gates at the steps, providing a secure area for small children or pets. This Beach house is your best location for the yearly SandFest. The festival is located right across the boardwalk on the beach. We have special rates for Winter Texans and Snowbirds.
This home has a large fully equipped kitchen, with everything you need to feed your family in style. The two dining room tables seat 10 and there is a breakfast bar that seats three. The deck table and chairs seat four to six.The living room has two large sofas. Computer and wireless network for internet access.You can connect your laptop to the in-house wireless system. There is a VCR, DVD player, and CD player in the living area with Cable TV.
All the bedrooms have Cable TV and a TV and VCR. There are two queen beds in one bedroom, and one queen bed in another bedroom downstairs. Upstairs the 37-foot-long bedroom with Bathroom has four twin beds and one queen bed.
Be sure to bring a basketball as there is a hoop on the front of the house. Plenty of covered parking, and an outdoor shower and hose to wash off the sand. There is a Playhouse and sand toys for the kids. Arrangements for boat parking can be made by request.
Corpus Christi Airport is minutes away. San Antonio is less than 3 hours away.
Well behaved dogs are allowed. There is a 30 Day Cancellation Policy for Daily and Weekly Bookings. There is a 90 Day Cancellation Policy for Monthly Rentals.
If there is a storm or hurricane, no refunds will be given unless:
The state or local authorities order mandatory evacuations in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area" and/or
A "mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area of residence of a vacationing guest. The day that the authorities order a mandatory evacuation order in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning," area, we will refund:
-Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered;
-Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten the stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and
-Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the "Hurricane Warning" period.

Why the Owner Chose La Playa
Our beach house is close to the beach and to town. The kids like to have the option of beach time or shopping and it's all walking distance. The house is on a cozy little street in a sweet neighborhood
The Unique Benefits at this House
We enjoy beach time, searching for shells, watching birds (and people!) Our favorite coffee and gelato place, Coffee Waves, is a mile a way and we like to walk there to get an afternoon treat. The hammock on the deck is a perfect place to read a book or take a nap. The upper deck is great for sitting in the sun. We love the layout of the house - the big open kitchen is a gathering place for everyone. The upstairs bedroom is terrific for the kids and their friends.
This is one of the nicest stretches of beach in Port Aransas, and is right in the middle of where SandFest is held each year.
This is our favorite coffee shop. The kids like to walk to it. The walk is about a mile.

My sister and I came with our families for a week. We had a delightful stay. We thought the accommodations were much larger than the pictures might lead one to believe. It was a hot week, but the a/c kept us cool. It was comfortable and clean--with the feel, colors, and look of a true beach house. Everything was convenient. The kitchen is huge and easy to work in. There were 12 of us and we all easily sat in a chair at the tables and bar to eat. The neighborhood was quiet and nice. We were helped by Bee Gee. She and her co-worker could not have been nicer or more helpful. Thank you!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We stayed at #2 La Playa for 60 days in Jan-Feb, 2011. It is a large comfortable freestanding condo within 100 yards of the municipal beach of Port Aransas. We had a great time walking and jogging on the beach, collecting shells, photographing the birds, etc. If you are not familiar with Texas beaches, you can walk or drive for over 10 straight miles. Heating and air conditioning work well but are rarely needed. The kitchen is large and well equipped. The two decks have southern exposure which is excellent and the street is very quiet. It is about a mile to town with shopping, restaurants, churches, etc. We will be staying here in the future which is the best sort of endorsement you can give.

My husband and I spent an entire week here. We loved every second of it. We spent every evening relaxing on the spacious deck. The house was so comfortable and clean. It felt like a home away from home. You can see the beach and warm ocean from the deck and it is only a minute walk to the sand. We are looking forward to another visit to #2 La PLaya and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great beach rental.
