Life is Good is a beautiful lake-front home as close to the water as you can get on lovely Lake Hartwell. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. You can almost get sea sick fronm every room in the house. Take 25 steps through an open level back yard and that is all that separates the house from the waters edge. (When looking for a lake house ask the owner how close they are to the water. You did not come to the lake to hike to the dock) An empty covered dock is just a few feet away, waiting for you to bring your boat! Convenient ramp access at Mary Ann Branch is less than half mile away. It’s the perfect vacation getaway for boating, fishing, or just plain relaxing. Only 15 minutes to down town Hartwell for shopping or dining.

This Lake getaway is less than two hours from Atlanta. With four bedrooms and three baths, this home sleeps 10-12 persons comfortably. Every room walks out to a patio, deck, or screened porch with a big water view. All the rooms are newly furnished and nicely decorated. There is a large rec room downstairs where the kids can be kids while allowing the adults to enjoy some peace and quiet upstairs. You will spend most of your time in the large screened porch sitting on the wicker patio set taking in the big water view. Enjoy the eight foot pool table if the weather keeps you inside.

Upstairs the master bedroom with private bathroom has a King bed with an Aviation theme. The second bedroom also upstairs has a tropical fish theme with two twin beds and an adjoining bathroom. The third bedroom down stairs has an adjoining bathroom with a Tommy Bahama theme with a queen sleigh bed. The fourth bedroom is downstairs and has a King bed with a beach theme.

  • Great house! more like a treehouse overlooking the lake. You walk in the front door and immediatley see the lake through the other side of the house. The living area leads out to a screened in porch. It is so close to the dock that you can talk to others on the dock from the screened porch. Inside was huge and the bedrooms are so spread apart that you never bother each other. One other thing to mention in case anyone ever needs a vet on vacation - Animal hospital in Hartwell were excellent with my small dog that was attacked by dogs while we were on an island in the lake. They immediatley took him in and treated him with special care. He is doing fine (he's 15 years old) but will take a while to fully recover three bite wounds that could easily have been fatal if not for my big lab who jumped in and saved him. We learned even if you are the only one on an island never assume it's safe because others are also thinking they are the only ones and accidents happen. We hope to return to this beautiful place in the future. Many thanks for sharing your home! Oh almost forgot great people to work with!

  • the place was awesome!!! everything was just as the advertiement said it was. we had the best time. the kids and adults were in heaven. we had a boat and jetski there and it was a blast!!! we went into town and ate at the best place too- siblings restaraunt. best food in that town. we will definitley be returning again and again!!! loved it!!!! the owners were great to deal with too- great people.

  • My family and I stayed for 1 week and loved it. The view of the lake was beautiful. Even though the weather was bad for most of the week, we still enjoyed shooting pool and playing games downstairs. Fishing was pretty good too. Life is good in this vacation home.
