Why the Owner Chose Oak Bluffs
The island of Martha's Vineyard has been a summer destination for me and my family many years. It's a quiet step back in time with a slower pace and more simple existence. The beaches are nice and there is so much to do.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The house is a short walk to the beach and town, yet removed from the hustle and bustle of Circuit Ave, the main street in town. The large wrap around porch is a favorite gathering spot for friends and family to gather. We love to sit out there, watch people walk by, the kids playing in the park and enjoy the cool ocean breeze.
The inside of the house is spread out in order to accommodate large groups of people who want to spend time together, as well as have privacy when they need it. The big open kitchen is a modern updated comfortable space to work. It opens onto the back patio, with plenty of seating for everyone.
This ferry system is the only car transportation over to the island. Leaving from Woods Hole, the journey takes 45 minutes.
Leaving from Falmouth Harbor, this passenger only ferry is a convenient 45 minute ride.
Originally a Methodist summer revival camp, this enchanting grouping of over 300 gingerbread style colorful homes is a step back in time.
The main street of town. Restaurants of every dining experience, an array of shops and an arcade will entertain you for hours.
One of the oldest operating carousels in the United States. Very unique and enjoyable. Riders compete to grab as many rings as they can on each pass, with the grand prize being the brass ring!
With it's wide open grassy lawn, this park is the place to fly a kite, play frisbee or just run around the gazebo. Summer Sunday nights you'll find families enjoying the sound of the Vineyard Haven ma
An open steel structure used for lectures, concerts and Sunday service during the summer. Summer Wednesday nights come enjoy the Family sing-a-long. It's an old tradition.
