As you enter, the great room is spacious and has designer touches everywhere. The light-filled kitchen has a walk-in pantry with a stack washer and dryer. All new appliances and ceramic tile sparkle. Everything you could possibly need is provided for your cooking pleasure coffee maker, microwave, toaster, all pots and pans and dishes. All floors are tiled so sandy feet are fine!
Gather around the dining table with the whole family or watch TV or a movie in the big comfy couches. The décor is designer tropical and not your usual funky Keys mishmash! There is plenty of room to cook, eat, drink, play games, gather round the TV, or just plain sit and visit. Central air makes hot days comfortable but the big airy windows let the glorious sea breezes flow through the entire home.
But wait... There is much more!
OUTSIDE is PARADISE! In this boater's heaven you can park two boats in the covered boat slip and still have a boat along the 60 foot seawall. The boating draft depth is three feet. Fresh water rinse off is available.
The TIKI HUT is the perfect place for a big crowd to gather to watch the kids swim in the crystal clear canal or catch Mangrove Snapper right from the seawall. A Mosquito Magnet keeps the critters away.
The front porch has another table for four and rockers just in case you would rather stay in the shade!
HUNGRY??? THIRSTY??? No need to go inside - A great summer kitchen with bar seats all around the Weber Barbecue Grill make outdoor entertaining perfectly enjoyable! Parking for all your vehicles and room for your boat trailer, too. The canal is two turns from the OPEN WATER so it is easy to run out to fish, swim, dive, snorkel, or just watch the gorgeous sunset every evening. We are 15 minutes (by boat) from Looe Key and ten minutes to Little Palm Island.
FOUR BEDROOMS that have one King-size, and three Full-size Beds come complete with all linens, pillows, and bedding ensure great sleep after those long days of sun-tanning! There are two bathrooms - one master with a shower for two and one with a shower/tub combination. Both are always bright and clean.
PLEASE NOTE THAT NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED IN THE HOME. This is strict house policy and must not be ignored. We like for our home to be clean, happy and healthy for all of our guests.
Pets are allowed but will be charged a pet fee due to allergen removal we perform between guests. Ask about this charge.
The Florida Keys are nature's wonderland. We have crabs, lobster and fish in our canal - right outside the front door!! Our house is close to reef fishing or "outback" where tarpons roll. We have pelicans that love to visit while you clean your freshly caught fish at our fish cleaning station. The precious KEY DEER who only grow to be knee high live only in Big Pine - a few minutes down the road. It is truly a magical place.
BUT WHAT ABOUT CITY LIFE??
KEY WEST is a short 30 minute ride down U.S. One where you can slip away to Margaritaville, party with Pirates, hang with celebrities or seek quiet respite in some of the best art galleries in the world. And do not miss the awesome SUNSET CELEBRATION every night at Mallory Square - We promise the most spectacular sunsets in the world.
Like THE BEACH???
We are ten minutes from Bahia Honda State Park. Conde Nast voted this beach as one of the TOP TEN in the United States. Gorgeous crystal turquoise water and pristine white sand make this a fantastic day trip. Pack a picnic and spend the day in this incredible destination.
Restaurants are close by and we have a few favourites. Parrotdise has the best seared tuna and you can go there by boat or car (five minutes) The Cracked Egg and Galley Grill make delicious breakfasts. But my favorite is five Brothers Cuban Grocery for Café Con Leche! Live music is played nightly at most places - rock and roll at Boondock's Big Tiki is especially fun. And the kids can play Mini-golf while you enjoy a Pina Colada!
We love giving tourists the "local touch" and will help you really discover what a wonderful paradise we have here in Little Torch Key.
