WHAT MAKES THIS PLACE SO SPECIAL . . .
Located on a quiet street on the north side of Dewey Beach, this classic beach cottage was renovated in 2005, adding ample space and all the modern amenities while maintaining it's original charm and coziness. The indoor spaces are comfortable, inviting, and spacious with a large living room/dining room area, 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. French doors and casement windows allow beautiful breezes on days when you want to skip the AC. But the best spot in the house is on the huge screen porch -- perfect for morning coffee, happy hours, a good book, or hanging out with friends -- or perhaps in the adjacent HOT TUB that comfortably soaks 6 to 8 adults. Just 2+ blocks to the beach and 4 blocks to Dewey nightlife, it is close to everything you want to see and do, but far enough away for the peace and quiet you need. This home has many return guests who recognize it's special charm and feel like it's their own private oasis for a week or two every summer or an off-season get-away.
THE LIVING SPACES . . .
On the first floor, enjoy an airy living room with ahhhh-worthy sectional sofa and comfy chairs facing the new flat-screen TV, DVD player, and stereo/CD player. In the off-season, the gas corner FIREPLACE provides warmth and coziness. The dining room offers seating for 8 at a large table. These rooms open to the truly huge screen porch, perfect for relaxing or entertaining, with ample white wicker seating and an oversized picnic table. Right outside the screen porch is a large HOT TUB which comfortably seats 6 to 8 adults, surrounded by a deck with adorondak chairs and a charcoal grill.
In the kitchen, GRANITE countertops and new white-washed cabinets provide plenty of storage and make this a lovely place to prepare meals. All appliances were replaced in 2005, including:
- a 25 cubic-foot, side-by-side refrigerator with ice maker and in-door water/ice dispenser,
- a full-size oven, stovetop, and microwave,
- stainless steel sink with garbage disposal.
BEDROOM & BATHROOMS
First Floor -- The first floor offers a bedroom and full bathroom -- very convenient for anyone who can't manage the stairs every day. Here a queen-size custom 4-poster bed overlooks the front porch with access through a sliding door making it a great spot for morning coffee or people watching. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination and is immediately adjacent to the bedroom while still being accessible to the living spaces of the house.
Master Bedroom -- On the second floor, the new oversized Master Suite has a king size bed, TV with DVD player, comfortable sitting area, and cathedral ceilings. The private master bath contains a stall shower and large Corian double sink.
Sea Glass Room & the Brady Bunch Room -- Also on the second floor, these two large bedrooms offer comfortable sleeping and share a hall bathroom. The Sea Glass Room has a queen bed while the Brady Bunch Room offers three double beds. The new bathroom on the adjacent hallway has a tub/shower combination and a Corian double sink.
A private OUTDOOR SHOWER is adjacent to the screen porch and hot tub, prefect for a nice hot shower after the beach.
The LAUNDRY ROOM is located upstairs with new, extra large capacity washer and dryer.
QUIET AND CONVENIENCE
This lovely house is ideally located slightly off the beaten track but close to everything, offering both quiet and convenience. The neighborhood is typically quiet and hospitable with many families and year-round residents and a lot less of the "craziness" of downtown Dewey. Yet, it is within blocks of all the wonderful Dewey Beach attractions and restaurants. You can also enjoy a nice fifteen minute walk to downtown Rehoboth Beach, or catch the Jolley Trolley to the boardwalk. The guarded beach and the bay are both an easy walk, even with young children. Many guest tell us they park their cars (there's room for 5!) and walk everywhere.
This house has it all -- comfort, convenience, quiet. The owners are meticulous to details and quality to ensure that your stay will be one you will enjoy and always remember. Come discover for yourself just how charming this house is. You'll want to come back every year.

Year Purchased: 2001
Owner's Map of Dewey Beach
Sibling Revelry is owned by two sisters and their families who continue to embrace the idea that "Dewey Beach is a way of life". We used to come here in our twenties, renting group houses and hanging out at the Starboard. One sister even met her husband here. Now that we are married and have children, we've found a new Dewey -- a kinder, gentler, more family friendly Dewey -- full of great times together in our beach cottage, happy hours on the screen porch, and time spent with our families.
We bought this house in 2001 when our babies were babies (see picture) because we fell in love with the screen porch, wood paneling, and classic cottage feel. In 2005, with our expanding families, we decided to renovate, adding more living space and a master suite. Our goal was to add the comforts of a modern, year-round home without compromising the cottage charm we fell in love with. We think we succeeded.
We love coming here ourselves and we love when our guests discover for themselves everything that's wonderful about this place -- the screen porch, the hot tub, the kitchen that's nicer than mine at home, plenty of space, plenty of charm, close to everything but far from the maddening crowds. We hope you'll love it as much as we do.

We loved the coziness and the rustic but modernized feel of this beach house. If you like to relax and like the feeling of being at camp, then you will appreciate the wooden floors, beams, walls and the fireplace in the living room...SO RELAXING! We had 3 kids ages 6 and under and they loved the yard and the play castle. There were NO bunk beds and we slept 10 total in the house comfortably. The couch was also very comfortable. The kitchen, bathrooms and a huge master bedroom were updated and everything was clean and actually nicer than my own home. It's far enough away from the hustle and bustle of downtown which made for some relaxing nights in the huge screened in porch and clean hot tub but was within walking distance to the beach and shops. The owner answered every question we had within a reasonable time and was very helpful. Close to the jolly trolley stops which we took to the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. We recommend dining at the Big Fish Grill, it had good seafood and reasonable prices and we didn't wait long for our order. I would love to come back to this house for a romantic getaway with my husband.

Sibling Revelry lived up to our expectations. Rehoboth Beach is very tourist friendly, clean, a fun place for a family vacation. The adults enjoyed using the walk/bike trails throughout the community. We felt very safe. Bike paths were plentiful and well-designed. The beach house is charming and full of character. We had plenty of room for 8 people. The kids loved the Brady Bunch room! Everyone enjoyed the screened porch and the hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked with necessary kitchen items for cooking. The water was cold for southern guests, but was refreshing on hot days. The uncrowded, guarded beach was clean and inviting. Thanks for the use of the great beach house!

Great family getaway for three older siblings and two nephews. Started off almost every day watching the dolphins swimming past the beach and ended up every day in the hot tub. Boardwalk was great for family fun, awesome fudge and shopping. If you drive to the Boardwalk, take plenty of quarters for parking. Back patio was perfect for cuddling up with a good book. Peanut butter pie lovers must go to Big Fish Grill. The house met all our needs & the trip took half the time as our usual journey to the Outer Banks.

This house was fantastic for our group of friends looking to celebrate a milestone birthday. Close to the heart of Dewey, we walked everywhere... the beach, and local bars. (The nearby Fifer Produce was great, by the way!) The screened-in back porch was a unanimous favorite, and we all enjoyed the hot tub. The Brady Bunch room was adorable, and would be perfect for a combined family vacation. Am hoping to return sooner rather than later!

I have three sisters and we live in different states. About 10 years ago we decided to spend a week together by renting a vacation condo or home. We have stayed in our time shares all the previous years but since we wanted to go to Dewey Beach, we decided to try renting a home, After a lot of research we rented this house/cottage and just loved it!! The location was ideal - close to the beach, but not too close. Close to the town without being around the noise. The interior was also wonderful. We stayed in March and the weather was a bit cool. The fireplace added that bit of warmth that made the place so warm and snuggly. We would then spend the evening in the hot tub with a glass of wine and life doesn't get any better than that!! Everything was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked unlike a lot of other places (only thing we would suggest is a tea pot!). Other than the tea pot, there isn't anything the place is lacking. We would definitely rent there again and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Rehoboth, Dewey, Ocean City or any other place nearby. We loved it!!!!

We spent a few days at this beach house at the end of March 2011.The weather did not cooperate-unseasonably rainy and cold but we stayed warm and comfortable inside. We did get out for walks on the beach and shopping in Rehoboth. It's a charming beach house-thoughtful renovation kept the seashore feel but has a new large kitchen and three new or almost new bathrooms. Very clean property. Spacious dining area looks out on big screened-in back porch. Common area downstairs has an open floor plan. Lots of windows and doors for natural air. Back yard has an outdoor shower. Quiet street with single family homes. There's a wide beach for walking and swimming a couple of blocks away. I understand the parks in the area have trails for bicycling, walking and wildlife observation. Lots of good restaurants nearby for dining or take out- could have used some sample menus for newcomers to the area. Retail outlets not too far away for rainy day shopping. Quite a few state parks along the coastline for touring, fishing and summer activities. I'd love to return here in warmer weather (not necessarily summer) to enjoy the amenities of the house and for more fresh sea air, beach walking, bicycling, and browsing the shops in Rehoboth.

Winter getaway for 5 high school buds (now women in late 40s) hailing from 4 nearby states. This house was the perfect place to unwind and catch up on each other's lives! Listing photos and description are spot on. Lots of lights/lamps in each room--great flexibility. We kept the cold and drizzle at bay with the toasty gas fireplace (has a fan). The house has a lot of character, is sturdily built, well-equipped, and quite clean. Plus it was easy to keep clean. There were blankets, bedspreads and pillows on the beds. We supplied our own towels and sheets or sleeping bags. There are multiple seating areas indoors and out--we primarily sat around the large dining room table or on the comfy living room furniture (it was COLD outside!). On one afternoon during a break in the rain, we even ventured out into the hot tub, complete with a convenient beverage pass-through. House is stocked with a collection of books and games, though we were too busy catching up to stop and play any games, and we never turned on the TV once during our stay. Had just a bit of trouble finding the place when I first arrived because it was dark and my GPS thought it was further down the street. However, after stopping to doublecheck the landlord's directions they had emailed to me in advance, I found it straightaway. Easily parked 4 cars off the street--probably could have parked 5 if we had needed to. We ate out just once, at Hobo's. Yum. Otherwise, there was room in the frig for all of our groceries, ample counter space, and plenty of dishes, utensils, pots & pans in the cupboards. Yes, you do have to cross a 4-lane road to walk to the beach, but it is residential, and in the off-season when we went, we rarely saw a car on that section of the road. Exchanged emails and phone calls with landlord in advance--helpful replies answered in a timely fashion. I'd highly recommend this house to others, so long as they don't reserve it for the winter weekend we work out to return.

This rental is awesome!!! The place was even better in person - decor was tasteful and the location was perfect for walks to the beach, the bay and all bars and restaurants in Dewey, and even Rehoboth. I visited Dewey often in my younger years, so it was nice to come back with family to celebrate my 40th on a quieter street. The large dining table, screened in porch and hot tub made for great gathering spots. Plus there were so many bathrooms/showers that there was never a wait. The owners were super nice and very responsive to all of our inquiries & requests. And you can't beat the price ~ VERY reasonable! Check it out...you will not be disappointed.

We've rented many places in Dewey and Rehoboth and this is one of the best we've seen -- clean, spacious, great amenities but still had a great "cottagy" feel. We spent so much time on the screen porch we hardly had time to enjoy the comfy living room. Hot tub was a great start to every day. Kids loved the "Brady Bunch Room" with 3 double beds and room for all the kids together. It was also really nice to be so close to everything in Dewey but not living in the heart of the craziness. Lovely quiet street. We hope to be back next year!
