Iinside a privacy wall there's a lush tropical garden with a small rock fountain that cascades water into a 2-level swimming pool. The large outdoor area is shared with the 2 bd, downstairs. There are 2 covered patios with a table and chairs, several double sized hammocks, lounge chairs, Adirondack chairs and a gas grill. There's an outdoor shower, dive rinse tank, secure drying area for scuba or snorkeling equipment and off-street parking inside the gates. Each bedroom has a private bath and for privacy, the bedrooms do not share a common wall. The king size beds have foam toppers for extra comfort and in the bedroom off the living area, that bed can be changed to 2 twins. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Casa. It was a great location-easily walkable to shopping, restaurants and downtown waterfront. Kathy and her crew were friendly and helpful. There were even some options for entertainment in the Casa when we were in because of rain. The pool is small but more than sufficient for a dip or to cool off.All in all a very good experience. Thanks Kathy and crew!Owner response: Thank you for taking the time to review Casa Tomas for us. Comments from those who have stayed at Casa Tomas will aid others considering a vacation rental. We hope guests enjoy the outdoors with a dip in the pool, sunning in a lounge chair or possibly breakfast in the garden, but should it happens to rain there is internet, a TV with cable service, loads of DVD movies plus paperback books and CDs. Our goal is guests who have enjoyed their stay, and we are glad you did.

I have stayed at this property several times. With a small group, we have rented either upstairs or downstairs. With larger groups, the entire villa is available with your own private pool, outdoor grill, lounge chairs, hammocks and palapa. The backyard is amazing.......beautiful flowers and trees, the sound of the waterfall, shaded palapa with a ceiling fan. Sitting out early in the morning with a cup of coffee to watch the birds and sometimes an iguana is a vacation in itself. The house is kept spotlessly clean and if you have the occasion problem, the staff is very prompt in taking care of you. You are welcomed with beer and soft drinks in the refrigerator and a few snacks on the counter. The Chedraui grocery is 1.5 blocks away and a perfect place to pick up groceries, drinks or anything you might have forgotten to pack. There is a large gated area for parking your vehicle at night which is very nice. The rooms and yard are exactly as pictured! The reservation process is very easy and all questions are answered. The owner goes out of the way to accomodate you and make you feel at home. The home is inviting and feels very safe. The area is a great neighborhood and walking to nearby restaurants or shops is not a problem. I've stayed here several times during different times of the year and always enjoy this rental. I would recommend this rental for a getaway to paradise!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: It's always a joy to have you stay with us. We love it when guests return to our vacation villa each time they come to Cozumel. You've been a regular guest with us for a number of years and I believe you hold the record in 2011, having stayed with us 4 times. We really appreciate you, your family and friends. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

1st off I would like to thank you and Kathy. Our stay at Casa Tomas was better than our expectations. We were very comfortable, and relaxed during our stay. The place was well set up and maintained. The staff you have employed was top rate, and courteous. They kept the place well cleaned and everything both inside and out was excellent. As that was our 1st trip to Cozumel, we really didnt know what to expect. As it turned out we were very pleased we chose Casa Tomas over any hotel there in Cozumel. We plan on returning next year, and depending how many divers we can get to come with us, we plan on staying with you every trip we make. We would like to rent the whole house next year if we can get enough people to go. Again, thank you for making our stay memorable. you will have repeat customers for as long as you stay in business.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

This home has everything you could want in a vacation stay. Not only is it beautiful. It is designed to accommodate small or larger groups (there were five in our party). The grounds are beautiful and immaculate. The pools (yes, there are two, one flowing into the other) are pristine. Maid service is daily except Sunday and is very conscientious. We had breakfast under the palapa. I listened to the fountain through our bedroom window at night, and we walked a very short distance to shopping. You don't even have to pack a beach towel because they're provided. It's obvious that the owner takes great pride in making sure guests have everything they need. We'll be back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

Thanks for the follow up. We had a great time, the service was incredible. We really enjoyed the nice touches of having some beer and cokes available when we arrived, as well as the CDs, DVDs and books. We felt very much at home. Thanks again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

We had a great time in Cozumel. The condo was as advertised and was much nicer than the places we normally stay. Poncho met us at the airport got us settled and was on time when we checked out. The maid service was great, again, something we normally don’t experience when we rent condos or houses in other locations. It was a great value, and, we have already recommended it to some other folks we met on the dive boat.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1999
About the owner: Most of my life I lived in Texas (Houston, Austin, Dallas and Tyler). My first trip to Cozumel was in 1976, but after years of vacationing on Cozumel I realized I'd found my paradise. In May 2000 I moved to Cozumel in a home only a few blocks from the vacation rental we built in 1999. How wonderful to live on Cozumel with sandy beaches, scuba diving, snorkeling and all around the island are the crystal clear turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean. Cozumel is the safest place I have ever lived, the people are warm and friendly and the weather is fantastic.
Why the Owner Chose Cozumel Island:
After vacationing on Cozumel for many years, the area I thought would be perfect for a vacation home was finally for sale. We bought it, and then built and equipped our vacation home with everything we wanted. Our family and guests now enjoy the great location and all the amenities. You can travel here with just a carry on as there is a washer and dryer for personal laundry. Internet service is wireless and wired, free calls to the U.S. and Canada (bring a computer with a USB port), and most of all, since our guests spend a great deal of time outside, the large outdoor area and pool are fantastic. There have been times when we had trouble getting my grandson out of the pool so we could all go to the beach!
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
It's rare to find a villa in this area of Cozumel with a large garden and outdoor area. Built on a double size lot, a privacy wall surrounds the grounds that include a two-level swimming pool and even off street parking for up to 2 vehicles. The big shade tree in the garden is a favorite of mine. The inside is loaded with amenities, but the garden, pool and outdoor area is my favorite. Oh...but we really do love having a washer and dryer so we don't have to pack lots of clothes!
