We had plenty of room to spread out in. House was nicely equipped with firewood, charcoal, paper products etc... Would recommend this home to anyone. The only drawback for us was the long staircase to the water. The view was breathtaking. Anyone who stays here will not be dissapointed- We would stay here again in a second. Thanks for a great house that made a great family vacation!

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Dear Lisa & Chad We loved your house. This is an amazing and spectacular view. We are spending one of our last weeks at your house after living almost two years in Michigan. We won't have this wildlife and nature back in Germany. We really appreciate staying in your house. It reminds us a bit of European style with the light colors and the light kitchen. It feels a little bit like home. You have great taste. Thanks for everything. This vacation makes it hard to move back to Germany.

Lisa & Chad, Thank you so much for opening up your beautiful home to us! After our adventures each day, it was so nice to return to your comfortable and peaceful place!! The view is lovely. We treasured every sunset! And we layed on the lawn chairs late into the night watching the shooting stars. We heard an owl, saw a mother deer with her two fawns (a few times) and enjoyed wildlife sightings in the area (wild turkey)! Thank you for all the special touches you have added to make this such a special place to stay. Both families loved it!

Your house is so beautiful. It was the perfect spot for our family to spend the week. We enjoyed the view of the lake/sunset from the porch. It was also a perfect spot for campfires and a badminton net. Thank you so much!

This was our first vacation with our blended family. We all enjoyed the wide open spaces, beautiful environment, both inside and out. We biked, walked, laughed a lot, sang by a campfire and just enjoyed each day to the fullest. We felt fortunate that the weather fully cooperated with all of our plans. We enjoyed our stay at your beautiful cottage. The sunsets were amazing. The kids loved walking down to the beach and loved Pond Hill Farm. We had everything we needed and everyone fit comfortably in all the rooms. We caught a glimpse of two baby deer, hummingbirds, chipmunks, squirrels, and one porcupine. We spent time in Harbor Springs and Petoskey. We're so greatful to have had a wonderful vacation and the chance to create such wonderful memories.

Dear Lisa & Chad, Thank you so much for sharing our beautiful home. We had a wonderful time together as a family. We enjoyed Harbor Springs, Petoskey, and going to Legg's Inn to eat. We also enjoyed a day at Mackinac Island. With so much to do around here, it was nice to come back to your place where it was so peaceful and quiet with a spectacular view of Lake Michigan. We enjoyed late nights of playing games and watching movies together. Being on the water was wonderful and sunsets on the beach were great. The steps were a little challenging for some of us, but if was beautiful. Thank you so much for opening your home to us. Your accommodations were great, which made our trip more enjoyable. Our family had a wonderful week!!

Dear Lisa & Chad This has truly been our home away from home for our married children and grandchildren to enjoy some fun in the sun. Dear Lisa & Chad, The Gorman families had a fabulous time here. We enjoyed the screened in porch late into the evenings. We enjoyed going into town for morning lattes and evening ice cream. We loved seeing the hummingbirds, woodpeckers, black squirrels and the deer. Your house is decorated beautifully and made all of us feel very comfortable. Dear Lisa & Chad, Our families enjoyed our visit here very much. The adults loved the screened-in porch, the decor and fire pit. The kids loved playing in the garage, the different games and roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. We all loved the sunsets and seeing the stars at night. We all treated ourselves to an expensive dinner at The Fish. Driving on lower drive to Thorne Swift Conservacy was a great find. We loved the nature trails. Our last night we went out to Leg's Inn - very unique and a great view of the sunset. We looked forward to gathering at the house every night. Thank you.

You did a wonderful job of designing your house! We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the sunrises and sets. The screened porch was fantastic during the rains. Also enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and cannot wait to get home and set up a feeder on our deck. We've enjoyed a wonderful week here. The weathers' been beautiful - crisp, cool mornings and warm afternoons. The lake has shared a different personality with us each day. Rough, like the ocean some days, calm as a pond another. The butterflies have been plentiful and we've seen deer, squirrels, and just down the road a fox. Golf at Little Traverse Bay and Boyne - Heather was very nice. We've been to Harbor Springs for the beach, bike riding and dinner. All in all we have had a fanastic family vacation. Your place up North is spectacular. p.s. great sunsets!
