  The owner went to extra effort by putting up some Christmas decorations for us. The unit was clean and well stocked and the owner was readily available for questions or problems. The issues raised in the other review were corrected by the time we came. The community was wonderful with lots of activities and friendly people.

  Recommended for: Age 55+.

  Renter is very much confused in that she is blaming VRBO for giving her the wrong rental unit. They don't undertand that vrbo does not assign anything and that they contacted and contracted the wrong vrbo rental, not withstanding they corresponded with owner [60095] on many occasions and were clueless that the unit they really wanted [246175], was not the unit they actually rented. My unit was cleaned professionally 1 day before their arrival, has enought kitchen and supplies adequately for their 1 month stay...............unless they intended to be in the catering business. On or about the 3rd day they confronted me as to where the mountain views were and where the large kitchen/terrace were and only then did they understand their claims of my mis-representing my unit were totally invalid as i was not renting them unit#246175 but rather unit 60095. They did not accept this peacefully but they must have thought there must have been a conspiracy!! The long and the short of this, she made a big mistake and is seeking [revenge ???], a scapegoat for her error. Out of generosity and compassion i did offer them a no-charge stay at my palm springs area golf course condominium but mrs renter declined. They then asked me to buy them tickets for the master pageant in laguna beach for them and their friends!!! Can you imagine, and this was followed up by requesting that they be allowed to drink my stored wine on the property. [i did invite them to enjoy 1 bottle]. obviously they did not or could not claim that my photos were not accurate, nor was the tiled bathroom floors, granite bathroom countertops, kitchen granite tops, or $3000 simmons california king luxury class mattress, or wood laminated living room floors a figment of my imagination!!! On a personal basis if a unit that i would have rented is so distasteful i would have left on day # 1 or 2. Not for 31 days!!

  We contracted with VRBO in March 2011 for Condo #246175 in Laguna Woods, CA. Upon arrival the Condo that we were given #87925 was not what we thought we rented. How this error happened I do not know. However since we were here and could do nothing about it, we accepted the situation. The condo was in poor-fair condition. It was not clean, there was spots on the carpets and dust on the furniture, there was flith in the tracks on the sliding glass door, mold in the shower and only the used soap that was in the dishes. The only cleaning equipment was a broken mop, there was a vaccum that was fair, no dust rags or dustmop.There were light blubs out (changed some that were here), but no floodlight for the kitchen. The kitchen was ill equipted, just the mimimal dishes,pots and silverware, several were cracked. There was only the toilet paper,paper towels that were left on the rolls. The shower in the small bathroom had little or no pressure. I called the owner and was told he would bring one, this was received in 10days by a neighbor downstairs who handed it to my husband and told him he was not a handyman.There was no way to contact owner as I could not send e-mail @ that time. I have recommended VRBO to many friends and used it myself and have always been satisfied. I feel that some compensation should be made to me for our inconvience.
