Year Purchased: 2004
Steve tried everything from the restaurant business to antiquarian books, real estate broker and then stock broker. Dianne taught grades 1-5 for 28 years as a beloved teacher in the Fairfax County Virginia school system. We love travel, still drive a 1964 Morgan DHC,collect strange things, love kids and have a daughter and granddaughter. The photo is from an exponential few years ago!
Why the Owner Chose Treasure Beach
Our daughter who does hair and make-up for magazines discovered the area and we first visited 17 years ago with our 7 month old granddaughter. Our granddaughter fell in love with Ida who is now our head staff at the villa. Full story on request. Treasure Beach is old Jamaica with values and open, friendly people. What's not to love.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We love tha ability to totally relax, read, swim and enjoy the wonderful cooking of Ida and Monica. Beautiful on the ocean views of sunsets and the fishing village, evening drinks in the plunge pool oceanside and all the side trips to unique spots that one would wish for. If you don't bring your cell phone, no one will bother you either! We have internet access though and most cells seem to work there.

EXCELLENT PROPERTY AND VACATION. IDA WAS A FABULOUS COOK. MONIKA ROASTED BLUE MOUNTAIN COFFEE RIGHT OUTSIDE THE KITCHEN DOOR! MY DAUGHTERS LOVED THE PELICAN BAR AS WELL AS JAKES. WE CAN HARDLY WAIT TO GO BACK. A PERFECT FAMILY VACATION.

My husband, 9-year old daughter and I had the trip of a lifetime during a week at La Sirena in Treasure Beach. My husband and I wanted to have a special trip to celebrate the year we both turned 50 years old. Steve and Dianne were extremely helpful and gave us lots of information on day trips we could take in the area. However, once we arrived we were content to stay at La Sirena the whole time. Surrounded by beauty, with all of our needs taken care of. Miss Ida welcomed us upon arrival and she and Monica cooked us delicious meals, always being conscious of the desires of our young daughter. The pool and beach were just perfect not only for us, but for our daughter. We thoroughly enjoyed days spent in the pool, swimming in the ocean, reading in the hammock. We were more than happy to stay in at night and enjoyed watching movies from the DVD library. The house is beautifully decorated and maintained. The Morgan's really did it right. We would be happy to re-visit La Sirena and will always have great family memories of this trip.

4 of my friends and I spent a week at this beautiful villa with Monica and Ida and had the vacation of a lifetime. We are all in our twenties and wanted to find something a little different than the typical resort party scene. It was an absolutely gorgeous (huge!) house, village, beach, and wonderful cooking and company from Monica, Ida and Shephard. Not only did they help us to understand the area and culture of treasure beach, they organised drivers and outings for all the things we wanted to see. The beach that is only a step away from the house was beautiful, we spent much of our time walking along, then cutting up to the main street in the village then back to enjoy lunch at jakes and arriving home just in time to see the sunset with the local kids after a day at school. The food they prepared for us was phenomenal (the first day we were welcomed with fresh lobster dinner!). They were extremely accomodating for the groups many food allergies as well (lactose intolerant...gluten free etc.). Treasure beach was also a very friendly, interesting and accessible town that hasnt seen too much tourism and that I wouldnt hesitate to re-visit. I cant say enough good things about this place. We have recommended this town and lovely house to all of our family and friends.

My wife and I stayed with our 15 month old daughter Arabella for one week at La Sirena Treasure Beach last year in June. This was our Honeymoon trip and of course wanted it to be very special, I cant say enough about how amazing our stay was. Wow....do we ever wish we could have made that week last a lifetime !! We'll definitely be going back to La Sirena and Treasure beach on our next trip to Jamaica, with all the wonderful memories we created on our first trip, we are eager to create more !!! Prior to arriving, Steve and his wife were very helpful while we were booking our stay with them and discussing our arrival and the time we'd spend at their property. Their help was complete with; great phone conversations about what to do when we were there, maps, phone numbers, tips and helpful advice. We decided to drive ourselves from Negril and had a great time following their instructions and the signs before arriving at La Sirena. Part of the beauty of Treasure beach and La Sirena that we enjoyed, was being well off the beaten track, down dusty fishing village roads and away from the large all-inclusive style resorts. We were able to enjoy what I felt to be part of the "real" Jamaica from this area; quiet beaches, fresh seafood and great food, the friendly charms of the locals and great music. We also benefitted from; Treasure beach's own microclimate (we had rainstorms surround us on a couple of days but no rain in Treasure Beach!!), exceptionally well looked after accomodations with most ammenities, a great splash pool, with a close drive to many attractions and who could forget the most important part - an amazing Miss Ida (!) who prepares excellent meals and all details. We arrived to a beautifully lobster dinner but most importantly after a couple of hours on the road, we arrived to the open and welcome arms of Miss Ida. Every detail was looked after, right down to the cold Ting and Red Stripe in our Fridge :) Even in a week, our daughter Arabella became very close to Ida, who was wonderful with children. Miss Ida also helped to arrange more fresh lobster, a market trip to Black River, boat rides to the Pelican bar and a photo excursion for me to the Black River early one morning. "Chinny" hepled us cook our own meal on the BBQ one night and kept the pool very clean. This was a very special vacation and we owe it all to the great staff and the Morgan's. I whole heartedly reccomend a stay at Treasure Beach and you wont be dissapointed !!
