Welcome to Cooper's Cottage at beautiful Barren River Lake, Kentucky. This beautiful cottage is a single family residence with a second-story breakfast nook and deck. Our lakehouse cottage offers breathtaking views of the water, a location merely two miles from Bailey's Point campground, dock, and recreation area; as well as being convenient to Barren River State Park, gas stations, and the best fried catfish in the south.
The cottage is a three bedroom, two bath home, and a full kitchen including a microwave, dishes, pots, and pans. Everything to make your vacation easy and economical. The house sports two queen-size beds, and a full bed, as well as a breakfast nook that can be used for a sleeping area. The house is approximately 1600 square feet so it provides plenty of room for a family or couples looking to share a vacation rental. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, microwave, stove, and a refrigerator.
We request a minimum of a two night stay and a three night stay on holiday weekends. If you book six nights, you will get the seventh night free. We require a 25% deposit on all bookings and have a 15 day cancellation policy.
Close to hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, wild-life viewing, swimming, water-skiing, knee-boarding, wake-boarding, jet-skiing, tubing, and boating. Bailey's Point a short two mile drive also hosts camping, has children's playgrounds, concessions, and sponsors movies nights during the summer season.
In addition, the lakehouse is merely 30 minutes from Bowling Green, Kentucky home of the National Corvette Museum and Plant. We are less than an hour from Kentucky Down Under and Mammoth Cave National Park, which offers horseback riding, spelunking, and various other sightseeing activities.
The lakehouse is also close to Harper's Restaurant - offering what we think is the BEST fried catfish in the south, a convenient store, gas stations, and grocery store, and we are happy to provide directions to any of these activities.

We spent 3 nights at this cottage and enjoyed our stay. It was a very good price, a 3-bedroom home for the price of a hotel stay! And we really enjoyed the loft that overlooked the lake!! It was a little more distant from Mammoth Caves than we had hoped, but the beautiful Kentucky farmland and rolling hills made for some roller coaster-like adventure. Thank you, Heather, for your hospitality and nice accommodations!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

The cottage was clean, well equipped, and very comfortable. It turned cold the first night we were there, and we found that the heat worked well to keep all areas of the house at a good temp. The cottage was exactly as described, and Heather was very responsive and nice when I was making the arrangements. It was convenient for us, as we have family just on the other side of 31, and the new Dollar General really helped with things we'd forgotten or didn't realize we'd need. My husband appreciated the TV and satellite, but the house is also stocked with movies and games. Definitely away from everything! The cell phone service is not good and no internet access, but just part of being out there in KY. There are steps up to the cottage, but inside the only ones are to the loft/deck, and that's nice but not a necessity. The door to one of the bedrooms is extra wide, and would be fine for a wheelchair, but the bathrooms might be too small for someone with a disability. Overall for us, it was a great visit, and we plan to stay there again!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

4 of us stayed here over the 4th of July Holiday (2011). We had a number of relatives camping nearby at Baileys Point--just 2 miles away, so it was very convenient to have our own space nearby without having to camp out in a tent! The cabin is very nice, well stocked, clean, and cozy. The back porch was very relaxing and breezy during this very hot weekend.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
