Two very private lawns, each with a large, furnished brick patio, offer sunny and shaded spaces for relaxation, enjoying meals outdoors, and sports. New England perennial landscaping compliments the surrounding old-growth trees, and creates a lush and unpretentious atmosphere.
Inside, there are wide plank wood floors throughout. Furnishings and details are done in classic New England style, with antiques, and Persian and braided rugs. Three bedrooms and a bookshelf-lined den can sleep 6-8, and there are two full bathrooms. The linen closet is stocked with fluffy towels and all-cotton bedding.
The kitchen is fully equipped (for actual cooking!) and the appliances are new within 3 years.
Drive five minutes to the beach, fifteen minutes to the Block Island Ferry. And Wakefield, a few miles away, offers whatever 'in town' goods, services, and activities you might want. Not far away: Newport, Wickford, Watch Hill, and Connecticut seaside towns, plus Foxwoods Casino. Train station and URI, ten minute drive.
One and a hours from Boston; three hours to NYC; 45 minutes to Providence.
