The flat is located on North Castle Street (less than a 2 minute walk to Princes Street). It's on the first floor of a traditional Georgian building and was recently fully refurbished with a fine attention to detail. The property retains many period features which have been enhanced with stylish bathrooms and contemporary kitchen. The property's location is absolutely fantastic being on the corner of George Street with its designer shops, bars and restaurants. The living room is furnished with sofas surrounding the feature fireplace with gas coal-effect fire and 36' LCD TV. There is a sofa-bed in this room which increases occupancy to 6. The 2 spacious bedrooms have feature fireplaces and large fitted wardrobes. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room and the 2nd bedroom has twin beds (can form super king size bed). The fabulous dining kitchen is a chef's delight whether you're planning on cooking or not! It has a superb range cooker and ovens, 2nd oven, dishwasher & washer/dryer.

This apartment is exactly as described. Two beautiful, modern baths, a state of the art kitchen, roomy bedrooms and living room. We enjoyed our week here because of the central location, one block from Princes Street. It does not have a telephone although Francoise brought us a limited use cell phone on request. The bar on the lower level was an issue for us as they play very loud music every night except Sunday. .Other than that the apartment itself is very nice and Francoise is very accommodating.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

What a delight! My husband and I and another couple spent an amazing and wonderful week at this lovely apartment. The location to restaurants, shopping, public transportation, and anything and everything you want is absolutely perfect. Nothing like walking out the front door to a view of cobblestone streets, the castle and a lovely walk to gardens, the train station or the local bus. Ok, there were some rowdy patrons in the bar downstairs one night, but hey, it's the city and we were having way too much fun ourselves to care. The apartment was exactly as described, elegant, beautiful and extremely comfortable. Francois was more than accomodating as we sweated out the Icelandic volcano, answering e-mails and assuring us we would make it to his lovely country. He also met us early due to our red eye flight and we were on our way to an amazing week. I hope to come back some day. You will regret staying anywhere else!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

The property couldn't have been in a better loaction. Its in walking distance to everything you need. The property discription was spot on, however i think the photos dont do the apartment much favours as it is actually better in real life. The owner was there if we needed him, however we did not need to contact him on are stay. I would recommend this to everyone, think it offers what everyone needs. When i go back to Edinburgh i will 100% be staying here again as it works out cheaper than a hotel and is better quality than most hotels in Edinburgh. The property is close to all the trendy bars and resturants in George Street. If you like shopping you are in heavan as you have Harvey Nics, Jenners, Cruise etc all with in 5 min walk.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Our experience with this apartment was great. Large rooms, 2 wonderful and modern bathrooms, large kitchen, excellent location in downtown Edinburgh with a view of the castle. Close to downtown shopping, 10 minute walk to Castle and Royal Mile, 20 minute walk to Holyrood Palace. Description is accurate. Very clean and well maintained. Dealings with owner exceptional and very accommodating. Would certainly recommend to friends or family. If dining out, try "Time 4 Thai" across the street. The food and service were the best we enjoyed in our 6 nights in Edinburgh. Reasonably priced. If you are not a late night person, could have some difficulty sleeping as there is a night club in the lower level of the building. Very pleased with this accommodation and if ever to go back to Edinburgh, would rent again. Exceptional value for rental rate.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+.
Owner response: In the basement there is a cocktail bar and restaurant which closes at 1am - it is not a nightclub. You don't hear anything from the bar itself within the flat (there is an office between the two), just occasionally people outside. One has to bear in mind that you are right in the city centre and most people find this to be a huge advantage especially as if you're in the bar you only have to go up a few stairs before you're straight into bed!
