Sleep and relax in any of 3 Master Suites on the main level. Children or families will love staying together in any of the 3 bunk-rooms upstairs. We have also crafted ramps, a barrier free shower and widened doorways to make the main floor and deck of the Lodge wheelchair friendly so everyone is included. Thank you for providing a beautiful facility in which we really enjoyed and experienced the beauty of God's creation. It was the perfect place for our ladies' retreat, where we were refreshed, renewed and re-energized. May God bless and pour out his love upon all who walk thru these doors. Micah 6:8

This is a beautiful cabin. We had a great time. We hiked the property, enjoyed the fire pit, enjoyed cooking on the Aga and made great memories. We took lots of pictures to reflect back on in the future!

What a beautiful place and what a wonderful time we had! The house was perfect and we loved the seclusion. The guys loved trying to catch trout in the river. The kitchen was great - loved the Aga. We did a lot of shopping and hiking - made the 2+ mile trek to the top of Mount Mitchell and took pictures in the snow! Our annual couples retreat gets better every year. We all agreed this was the best rental yet and we want to come back. Thanks for sharing your place with us.

Thank you so much for your hospitality. Everyone loved the house and are ready to return again soon! The property is amazing and so well taken care of. I wouldn't be surprised if several folks call to rent the house for other functions. No one wanted to leave it was so peaceful! I really appreciate all you did to make the weekend happen for us! I will call you as soon as we have our next date.

The lodge is awesome! It was the perfect setting for our wedding; I will never forget it. I loved the setting - the creek, deck, fire pit...quiet! I cannot wait to come back! We had the ceremony under the gazebo, the reception out by the grill closest to the kitchen. It began to rain and everyone moved inside, sat on the porch or in the living room. It was utterly sublime.

What can I say, "We had an amazing time!" After a year of planning and researching the Internet, my fiancée and I were excited to come up to this ridge to be married. Family and friends from all over the country joined us here for our special day. Having over 40 guests of all ages and interests, we can confidently say, this was the perfect setting for our wedding. The pool room, hot tub, and 2 TV's were perfect for the rainy days. When we weren't indoors, the fire pit, deck and the creek were amazing for relaxing and exploring. My wife and I now have a place we can celebrate anniversaries to come!! Thank you!!

We truly enjoyed our stay. Kids loved fishing and skimming rocks in the river. S'mores by the fire pit were great! The house is perfect, especially the Aga! Our dinners were delicious. The seclusion was exactly what we were looking for on our 7th Annual "Our Families Rock" Vacation! Happy vacationing!

I really loved the warm feel of the house. The décor at was both classy and rustic. Every room was welcoming. We had plenty of places to go in the house for privacy and there were also living spaces large enough for our entire group to socialize. The kitchen area was an excellent gathering place. We had fun sharing food and stories there. I think that this lodge would be an excellent place for a family reunion or getaway for a large group. My bed was very comfortable. Usually in such a large house, I would feel cold. Not there. It was very warm all over the house and did not feel drafty at all. I think it's due to the large oven from Europe. The lodge is secluded and at the same time, conveniently located near Asheville. That's where I spent most of my vacation. My only regret about my stay is that I did not get to hike to the nearby waterfall due to the rain. Thanks for a great stay!
Owner response:We love the warmth of the Aga in the winter also. This amazing stove was invented in Sweden by a Nobel Prize-winning physicist and is most popular in cold, damp climates throughout the world. In fact, In the year 2000, the BBC chose the Aga stove as one of the top 3 design icons of the 20th Century. The Aga took the number three spot after the Coca-Cola® contour bottle and the VW™ Bug! We hope you noticed that we also have an electric convection range in our kitchen. We installed this new appliance in 2011 so that we can turn the Aga off during the warmer summer months when we all want to escape the heat. Sorry the rain kept you from hiking the beautiful local waterfalls. It's great fun to have three waterfalls just minutes from the lodge; they are a magnificent experience on a lovely day!

Rarely does a location exceed its recommendations. Rivers Ridge did just that. Breathtaking location perched on a rock overlooking the river. The luxurious accommodations. The wrap around deck. The fire pit by the riverside. The privacy. God blessed our retreat on so many levels. The Bar BQ that was catered in was beyond belief. Fabulous & reasonable. A place to get away and just be. The 19 men who attended already want it reserved for next year!
