The Sand Dollar is a beautiful, four bedroom/three bath (2 master suites) waterfront house with a large pool and all the amenities and comforts of home. It is located at 230 14th Street in the newer Coury subdivision, a quiet and exclusive neighborhood of Key Colony Beach (KCB). Located near Marathon, at mile marker 53.5 in the Middle Florida Keys.
The main floor (second level) has one master suite (bedroom and bath) with a queen bed; a second bedroom with a king bed and easy chair; and a third bedroom with twin beds and a TV/VCR for the kids. The living, dining, and kitchen (great room) area has a cathedral ceiling and double French doors opening onto the porch with a wrap-around balcony and wonderful view of the canal.
Being directly off of Vaca Cut, there is always some fish action. If you are lucky, you may even spot a manatee or dolphin in the canal!
Upstairs (third level) is a private, second, master suite with king bed, bath, and a balcony - including magnificent views of Vaca Cut, the ocean, and gorgeous Keys sunsets! The third level also features a loft area with desk and phone should you bring a laptop or any business work.
The home also features a lovely, fenced 32 foot pool overlooking the canal. Pool heat is available at an extra charge. There is a 30-foot, wooden, pier dock with electricity, water hose, and a shower. From the 14th Street canal, there is immediate access to the Atlantic Ocean or Gulf via Vaca Cut.
The City of Key Colony Beach offers 3 restaurants (Key Colony Inn, Sparky's Landing, and Cabana Breezes), Donarchi's Deli (also serves breakfast), liquor store, Keybana clothing store, Fish Lips souvenir store, charter boats, gas dock, rental boats, dive store, 3-Par golf course, tennis courts, Sunset Park (at 12th St.), and bike paths. KCB is a city with its own police department that patrols by car and boat to provide safety for residents and visitors.
Marathon Airport is 3 miles away and rental cars are available at the terminal. KCB is approximately one hour from Key West (also has an airport) and two hours from Miami. The Keys Shuttle Service operates daily from Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, and Key West airports; taxi service is also available.

Why the Owner Chose Key Colony Beach
We started vacationing in Key Colony Beach in the late 1980s. We liked the community feeling and felt safe in letting our young son use the bike path to visit local friends or go to the park. We finally purchased a duplex in 1995, using it as a vacation rental between visits. Hoping to eventually retire to KCB, we sold the duplex and purchased the single family home on 14th street in early 2001. It is our home away from home. We truly love it.
The Unique Benefits of this House
230 14th Street is located between vacant lots, making it a private and peaceful getaway. We are just a short ways down the canal from open water leading to the ocean or through Vaca Cut to the Bay.
14th Street is located in the newer Coury subdivision with exclusive homes. It is walking distance to Sunset Park, City Hall, and the Post Office.
