My husband and I enjoyed 3 wonderful days over the July 4th weekend and would definately sugguest this cabin to anyone. We ahve already told many friends about it that are looking for a new place. You have neighbors which is nice compared to some spooky places in the middle of nowhere we have stayed but you still have privacy on the back porch and hot tub. With all the people there on the 4th it was very nice coming back to piece and quiet. It is only about 3 miles off the Parkway and conviently inbetween Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Make your reservations and you won't be disappointed. Owners are incredible and so nice. Spoke to them several times before and during the trip and they couldn't have been nicer. Be sure and catch the "Memories" show in Pigeon Forge while you're there.

Inexpensive and cozy

Inexpensive compared to the rest of the cabins we looked at during prime season. The cabin was a little small (especially the bed) but very clean and cozy. I spoke to the owners twice before our arrival and they were very nice! It was so nice not having to check in or out at a rental office! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for having us!

Owner response:Serendipity is average size for a 1 bedroom cabin. It has a Great Room with a full kitchen and a loft with a pool table, entertainment center and queen sofa bed. As described in the ad,the bed is a Queen size bed.

Eevn through the snowstorm of 2010 Christmas

My Husband,myself and our dog came here for a christmas/birthday gift to each other, which started out a little bumpy because we were unable to reach our cabin for two days due to the unusual snowstorm that came through the area. The folks who were there on Christmas day were unable to leave and we were unable to get there . Steve (Owner) was wonderful through the WHOLE ordeal which I am EXTREMELY grateful for. The home was very quaint and lovely and we were able to enjoy the rest of our trip once we got to the cabin. I would recommend this property or any of their properties just due to the OUTSTANDING customer service my Family recieved.

Great Anniversary Trip

Thank you for a great stay at your cabin. The directions were simple to follow and we found the cabin very easily. Once there we enjoyed our stay very much. Neighbors were not too close which was nice. We ended our visit with a trip to Pancake Pantry our favorite place for breakfast! We love the sweet potato pancakes and the peach delight crepes. Thanks again for a relaxing few days!

Not sure they were ready for us

My husband and I have visited this area once before and had a really great experience, so we were anxious to return. We decided to try out a different cabin this time, and were a little disappointed. While the cabin itself was very nice, there were many things that needed updated, fixed, or better prepared for people staying there. First off, do not use a GPS to try to find this place. You area already warned of this and it's true. The GPS has no clue how to find it. You will have neighbors, but it does still feel private. When we arrived at the cabin, we were very excited. We went to open the door, however, and the combination we were given didn't work. Luckily we had a bit of cell phone signal and the owners got back to us right away with the correct number. Some things were a bit odd about this place though after that. There was no soap in the bathroom or at the sink to do dishes and many things in the kitchen were in very poor shape if you planned on doing any cooking. We were also told that if the grill was low on propane, we could refill it at the store and that he would reimburse us. I guess I see that as being the owner’s responsibility and not the people paying to stay there, but we managed not to have to get more. The hot tub smelled very moldy, but it didn't stop us from using it. It is expected that a hot tub will smell a bit moldy, but this one was pretty extreme. The biggest complaint I had was with the Jacuzzi tub. We were so excited that the cabin had enough hot water to fill it up, which can be uncommon, but when we turned on the jets, a bunch black gunk came pouring in. It was horrible! We called the owners and he said he would have the cleaning staff clean it. Of course this was our last night there, so we didn't get to see it actually work. I think this cabin was very nice, minus the few issues we had. While I doubt we would ever stay here again, keep in mind that you get what you pay for. At least the owners seemed very nice and it was a beautiful cabin.

Owner response:All the policies, procedures and directions to the cabin were sent to them on the day they reserved it which was 5 days prior to check-in. The directions state: please do not use GPS or Map Quest as they do not work well here. They did not call me with any questions or concerns. The kitchen is fully equiped and everything is in working order. We have no way of knowing when the gas grill propane tank will run out so I offer to pay for the refill + the trip to the store. Their is also a charcoal grill available. All of this is in the policies and procedures. The hot tub is drained & cleaned after every rental. It does not smell. They called me about a problem with the Jacuzzi their last night. I had it taken care of the next day. We supply starter soap, shampoo, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher detergent and dish washing liquid. Please read all the other 5 star reviews. It is a beautiful cabin and we continue to have many very satisfied guests.

The Perfect Getaway!

I can't imagine a better place for a long romantic weekend than Serendipity. I live in Atlanta and it was such a treat for my boyfriend and I to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the peace and quiet of this wonderful cabin. It's beautifully decorated and impeccably kept with everything you need for a very special time. Rocking chairs on the back porch with a hot tub that we made very good use of, a jacuzzi, pool table and very nice kitchen with everything you need....you don't even have to leave the cabin to have a great time but there's plenty to do in the area if you're so inclined. It's a lovely, short drive from Atlanta and I would highly recommend it and most definitely plan to return. Everything was perfect and our trip made for a wonderful memory for both of us.

Serendipity romance!

This cabin is wonderful the a romantic getaway. My husband and I enjoyed a lovely seren weekend in the beautiful smokies. The view is amazing and very secluded. Just what we expected!

Steve, the owner was WONDERFUL! He was very accomodating and helpful! The place was fantastic, very clean, nicely decorated, and in the perfect location! I wanted to stay in the mountains, without neighbors 5 feet away, and thats just what I got! My fiance and I really enjoyed visiting the many local wineries, which by the way have great wine! We enjoyed cooking in the cabin, Dollywood, Ober Gatlinburg, we hiked Laurel Falls, we visited Cades Cove, and we also visited Hangmans Dome. What amazing views. I would recommend Hangmans Dome, only for those prepared to hike a half a mile up a 45 degree hill the whole time! It was exhausting!! After a long day it was wonderful to return to the cabin, cook, enjoy a nice glass of wine and relax in the hot tub! Bubba Gumps Shrimp Co, was a great place to eat, we also really enjoyed Corky's, oh and the Comedy Barn is a MUST!!! Sorry this is soo long, but I loved the washer and dryer! I hate going home with a ton of dirty laundry, so it was nice to throw a load in at night, and keep up on it. It wasn't a headache when we got home. So thank you for that! Our only regret is we could have stay longer!! We wish we could have gone white water rafting, but we will definitely be back!! Thank you Steve!

Exceeded my expectations

My boy's Christopher, 13, and Noah 10, and I had such an awesome time. I could not believe how beautiful this cabin was. We were there in July and the weather was so beautiful. My children always looked forward to coming back to the cabin in the evening. The pool table was a big hit as well as the jacuzzi. This place is so much cleaner than any hotel I've ever stayed in. We kept saying, "We wished we lived here". The owner's are so kind and although I did not have to call for anything I felt comfortable in the event we needed to. His directions were very good. I can't belive I found it at 1 am in the morning pitch dark. We went tubing. We just rented our own and drove up stream, parked and did our own thing. I can't remember the name of the place where we rented the tubes but they also had a restaurant that was very good. We hiked and saw the falls. We wanted to do more but did not have the time. We ate at a restaurant in Piegon Forge that said homestyle cooking on the window. We were disapointed with that. Look for the ones that have a lot of cars. This one did not and it should have been a red flag. I would recommend this to anyone. I will say it is a drive up the mountain to get to the Cabin and one that has a hard time with a handicap situation my have problems. If you want a place that is secluded and private this is your place. I enjoyed that the most. The view is beautiful. Being a single Mom I can say I felt very safe. It was a long drive from Dallas next time I might fly. But so worth the trip. If you are a couple looking for a romantic place to stay you will love it. Thank you for sharing your home with us. OH! We went to Cades Cove and saw a Momma bear with her cub. Extra surprise. We loved this place . Cindy (Texas)

Nice place

We had a very nice break here in the Spring. The mountains were beautiful and the location is perfect. Traveling the roads to get there is an adventure on its own. There are never ending nature experiences, and a ton of tourist stuff in town. We ate at a different pancake house every day. The cabin is not large, but was very comfortable. It's nicely decorated and has everything you need. We would definately stay here again.
