Why the Owner Chose Tahoe City
We love the mountains and Tahoe has it all - close by the Bay Area, great skiing in the winter, water sports and outdoor life in the summer and Reno and North Shore casinos just a short distance away when you feel the urge! What could be better!
The Unique Benefits at this House
We love the fact that our home is secluded with a "deep forest" feel, yet with incredible views and still very close to town with fabulous restaurants, shops, theater, etc.,right there. Our private beach club is great in the spring, summer and fall- We can enjoy 300 yards of stunning beach, have a cookout on the Lake, enjoy basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, etc., in a peaceful atmosphere without any crowds.
This lakeside beach club is included with rental of the house! Over 300 feet of direct beachfront!
Owner's Map of Tahoe City
We've been enjoying Lake Tahoe since we were children and couldn't wait to have our own place looking out over what is surely the ultimate mountain lake! Bill loves to fly fish
(He'll share his "secret" places with you if you ask!)and we both love enjoying the sunsets and panoramic views from our deck. Everything is here- nature, hiking, water sports, entertainment and the casinos and just plain relaxing in gorgeous surroundings!

The home was wonderful!! We will forever remember the views of the lake. Waking up every morning the views were amazing. The hot tub was perfect to relax and enjoy the stunning view. Great location for skiing. We skied every day and ate some wonderful meals at restaurants nearby. We used the excellent kitchen every day and ate in the large dining room. It was a life-saver to have a full sized washer and dryer. Every night we relaxed by the fire and watched the huge TV. Beds were very comfortable and the rain shower was awesome. Any question or problems were quickly taken care of by the owners - thanks for being so responsive. We'd definitely come back!
Owner response:We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and that the new kitchen, bathrooms, beds and TVs met your expectations! It's always our goal to provide the best possible vacation for our guests. Please come back soon and enjoy that 10% returning guest discount! Bill and Cindy Vinson

This home may not appear as impressive on the outside as its' neigbors but it is immaculate inside and there is nothing we needed that was not provided by the owners. The care and taste in furnishings and decorations is obvious. The views from the deck, sunroom, hot tub and master bedroom are spectacular. This home is away from the crowds in a nice quiet neighborhood yet close to restaurants, shopping, hiking, etc. It is the ideal location for those who like to leave the crowds behind at the end of the day.

If this house were for sale, I'd buy it in a minute! Newly remodeled kitchen and all three bathrooms, new Tahoe-look furniture, great ambiance. The views were really panoramic- loved sitting in the sun room, master or dining room and watching the sky and lake change during the day. Nights in the hot tub on the deck were great, with a glass of wine and lots more stars than I see at home. The owners seem to have thought of everything anyone could possibly need, from more than 300 books to a pizza stone and fondue pots in the kitchen. Only 3 miles to Tahoe City with lots of great restaurants (we liked Christy Hill). I think I could literally stay here forever, but reality calls. I will definitely be back in the summer!

This was a perfect base location for our family get-away: close to hiking, biking, sight-seeing, and rafting, yet quiet and relaxing. It was so comfortable that we enjoyed out time at the house almost as much as our outdoor adventures! Coffee on the deck in the morning, wine on the deck at night... the view was outstanding! Very nicely furnished, and the reference material on local hikes, restaurants, etc. was very helpful.

We loved this house! The views from almost every room are spectacular and all the wood inside along with the mountain furniture and art make it seem very "Tahoe". The kitchen is new and gorgeous and all three baths have been redone to feel very luxurious. I could see the lake from the master bedroom shower and spa tub! I love to read and appreciated the several hundred books available and others in my group liked the movie and CD collection. Location was great - 3 miles to downtown Tahoe City for restaurants and shopping and Truckee River access. Sunnyside Resort is at the bottom of the hill and has a killer deck for a drink or meal when the weather's good. The deck is huge and the new spa on the deck had great views and was completely private. Robes are even provided for guest use, as well as a computer and printer (I brought my laptop and the WiFi worked great there). We want to come back in winter next time!
