The cottage retains its whitewashed stone exterior and features exposed beams, wood burning stove and wooden floors. The attic bedroom (twin) is reached by a steep stair and has low ceiling. The rooms are warm, cosy and very comfortably furnished. The cottage stands in its own enclosed garden, on a quiet ’no through’ road directly facing the sea and is within walking distance of the shops (1 mile), restaurant and bar (1/4 mile). Waterloo is near Broadford and the ideal central base for exploring this fascinating island - places of interest include the local Serpentarium, museums and exhibitions on folklore and local culture. Day trips could include a day out to the Isle of Rassay from nearby Sconer or a round trip by small ferry from Kylerhea to Glenelg, round Loch Duich and Eilean Donan Castle then back to Skye via the toll bridge.
