Balquhidder - Perthshire

In a very peaceful location overlooking the magnificent Braes O’Balquhidder in Scotland’s first National Park, these six excellent cottages are situated in the grounds of the Kingshouse Hotel, 150 metres from the main road. This is the heart of Rob Roy country, at the foot of the Strathyre Forest. The hotel is family run and all facilities are available to cottage guests including two bars serving bar meals. Fishing permits for numerous lochs and rivers can be arranged at the hotel, whilst the mountains in the area provide ample scope for hillwalking and climbing. Watersports, including ski-ing, sailing, parascending and windsurfing can be enjoyed at Lochearnhead (3 miles). There are 10 golf courses within easy reach. This is also an excellent centre for touring, within an hour’s drive of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth, Oban, Fort William and Loch Lomond. Shops 2 miles. Each of these detached cottages is well-insulated and cosy, with comfortable furnishings. The cottages all have views to the hills and all accommodation is on ground level. Private parking and shared garden. No 1 cottage has 1 double and 1 twin bedroom, spacious comfortable living area, open plan to modern well-equipped dining/kitchen, bathroom with shower over the bath. All electric with central heating. Fridge, microwave, auto washer/dryer, dishwasher, television. Bed linen and towels are provided. 2 futons in the lounge can accommodate up to 2 people at an extra charge. Cot available free of charge if booked in advance.
