My husband, our teenager and I loved our stay at Brett and Jennifer's Kihei Bay Surf Condo! Brett and Jennifer are very friendly and relaxed and will go out of their way to make your stay the best. We never actually met them (although they live there) but all of our phone calls and email correspondence was great. Making the reservation was easy. We were able to check in early - thank you! Brett offers his help if you need anything that the condo may be missing and will bring it by. The photos of the condo are accurate. The overall feeling is light and airy. It is tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. The lanai is comfortable for sitting or enjoying breakfast. The air conditioner and fans keep the condo. cool and well ventilated. The queen bed was very comfortable and our teenager slept well on the fold down couch. There is plenty of bedding available all of which is very comfortable. The condo was very clean upon on arrival and had all the essentials for fun! Cooler & ice packs for it, beach towels, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards etc. We brought our own snorkel gear but there was a set there if needed. The kitchen is well equipped. We cooked in a lot and packed lunches for the beach every day. The people in the complex are friendly. The pool is nice as is the hot tub/whirl pool. It's a great place to unwind after your flight. The complex is beautifully landscaped and maintained. The flowers are just gorgeous! The location is perfect! Out of the hub of South Kihei but close to a Safeway grocery store and Longs Drugs for all sundries. The beach across the street is connected to Sugar Beach which is long and great for walking. South Kihei rocks! It's a very friendly town. With the guide book Maui Revealed in hand, we packed our rental vehicle every day with all items of fun available at the condo. and explored a new beach in So. Kihei and beyond. The beaches are clean, and the snorkeling is the best. We saw lots of sea turtles, coral, and great fish every day. We came back to the condo. only in evenings exhausted and happy from a full day of fun! Another highlight of our trip was going on the Haleakala downhill bike ride with Maui Easy Riders. Its a great way to see the Upcountry of Maui and owners Billy & Billy are relaxed and very friendly just like Brett and Jennifer. We loved Maui and would definitely stay at Brett and Jennifer's condo again and would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

This is my second time staying at Brett and Jennifer's condo, and it is still such a great place! It is so light and airy, and all the amenities are very high quality. Just like my previous stay, I ended up doing a lot of cooking and really enjoyed eating my meals on the lanai. What I especially like is the location - it's a very quiet area, and yet close to all the fun and shopping Kihei has to offer without having to deal with big crowds and constant traffic on the street. The small, quiet park across the street with the beach right there is a great place to hang out, walk, watch the sunset, etc. And this year I could sit there and see so many whales, just by walking across the street! I'm booked for my next trip already so I don't have to worry about finding a great place to stay. This IS the great place to stay! Thanks again Brett and Jennifer for your help - your knowledge of the island and the extra effort you always put in to make my stay in Maui easy and interesting is much appreciated.

By far the best unit we've stayed in at KBS. ALL the comforts of home, beach towels, chairs and umbrella -SO glad we had all these things at our disposal! Not to mention the little things like a wine opener, ice, tape and scissors. Little stuff you don't think about before you go. A full library of dvds, books, comfortable bed, nice linens, fluffy towels. On property laundry is large (at least 10 each w/d). We never check luggage that way! The only suggestion: make sure you have the owner's personal cell # beside their business phone # in case of a lockbox issue (for entry key). Combination # at door had not been changed to the one given to me with check-in directions. Really a small oversight, but there is no 'sales office' on property, so you're stuck without their #. Owners are super-nice to deal with though so really it wasn't a big deal. Centrally located to wherever you want to go on the island with everything you need. Check out the free talks at the Hawaiian Island Humpback Whale Marine Sanctuary too! And if you go when the whales are there, the BEST way to go out is with 'Ultimate Whale Watch' (Lahaina, Slip 17). You will NEVER go on a 'big' boat again -the biggest waste of $! Up close and personal, whales were curious of the smaller yellow vessel close to the water I think. We were surrounded for over an hour (called 'mugging') because we couldn't move away! It was a Bucket List morning! Mahalo for a beautiful place and wonderful memories!

This unit has the "WOW" factor on entering. The decor is amazingly well done and creates a very comfortable, clean, functional and surprisingly spacious unit in which to stay for a very reasonable price on Maui, The pictures do not quite do it justice. On top of that we found the bed extremely comfortable and the kitchen (although a tad small) very appealing and adequately functional for a couple who like to do as much self-catering as possible when traveling. We were able to cook breakfast and eat it on the Lanai, prepare sandwiches for day trips and barbecue evening meals. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend ti to anybody looking for a good place to stay. Definitely exceeded our expectations!

Wow, what a great place!! It's extremely clean and well-supplied with everything I need to make me feel like I'm in my own home. The beautiful light-wood floor and furniture give this studio a bright, airy, very spacious feeling, and the bed and sofa are incredibly comfortable. I love sitting on the lanai at sunset, or having coffee in the morning...and there's a nice little park and great beach right across the street. I thought I'd be going out to dinner every night, but I already cooked a meal in the well-equipped modern kitchen. Best of all, the owners were so friendly, easy to communicate with, and so knowledgeable about the island...they're making it easy to do and see everything I want without wasting my time trying to orient myself. Great condo, great location, great vacation...I'm going to definitely stay here on my next visit!

My wife and I had never been to Maui and were more than a little shocked to discover that it's really hard to find a decent/clean hotel room for less than 250/night. Some searching on the Internet brought me to Brett and Jennifer. The suite is exactly what you see in the pictures. There's a partial ocean view and the unit has had a lot of really nice upgrades. The kitchen is great and the laminate floors in the living room/bedroom are a nice touch. There's a next-to-brand-new AC unit that kept the room comfortably cool and the high-speed Internet let us check our email and keep track of the rest of the world. We got more use out of the kitchen than we imagined we would. At first we thought we'd use the fridge to keep drinks cold but a couple of days in we'd stocked the fridge with simple groceries like fresh pineapples and sandwich fixings from the nearby grocery store. We'd didn't go as far as to cook a turkey dinner but I don't see what would of stopped us had we been so inclined. The wind would come up in the afternoons so my wife would hang out by the pool to avoid blowing sand and I'd turn on the AC and have a mid-afternoon nap. Brett & Jennifer have really stocked the suite with everything you'd need for a holiday. The kitchen has pots and pans and all that good stuff but there's also boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, tennis rackets, and a ton of other stuff. Short of a sailboat or SCUBA gear, there was everything you'd ever need for a Maui vacation right there in the suite. This is a study suite so I don't think the space would be especially conducive to families or large groups but if you're looking for a getaway with your significant other, this condo fits the bill perfectly. There's no room service or concierge but that's not what we were looking for. We wanted a clean, comfortable, well-managed suite that was close to the beach and this unit did all that and more.

GREAT CONDO!!! I spent 2 weeks in Brett and Jennifer’s condo, and it was a perfect place to spend my vacation. Beautiful wood floors and lots of light…it felt very open and airy. The décor is beautiful and the kitchen is very modern with everything I needed. I thought I’d be going out to eat all the time, but I ended up cooking several meals at “home”. The location is across the street from a nice park and the beach, in a quiet area, yet close to all the restaurants and shopping in south Kihei. It’s a very friendly complex, and I met some great people at the pool/Jacuzzi/bbq area. We had a great time celebrating July 4th! All the amenities I needed were there…even a printer, so I could go online and print out information as well as my return plane ticket. Brett and Jennifer were so friendly and helpful…they were available to help me navigate around the island, and saved me a lot of time and trouble getting around to the beautiful sites of Maui. All in all, I felt very lucky, and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. I’m definitely going to book this condo on my next trip here later this year!

My stay was a good one and I have stayed here before. I noticed this time around that some things need replacing. The bedding was old and the pillows not good. One of the cases were stained and the blanket had tears on the underside. The kitchen as wonderful as it is lacks supplies. Like a sharp knife, scissors, a wash cloth or scrub brush for cleaning dishes, a dust pan to go with the broom. The lighting around the bed is lacking (no lamps). The biggest thing was the shower head. I ended up using my friends shower down stairs. The settings are extremly hard or non existent. There is a hand held shower as well as the regular one, however its very awkward to use, and there is no hook for it. The toilet roll holder falls into three pieces every time you look at it. These are all little things and they did not ruin our stay what so ever. But I would not return unless a bit of love goes into this place. The first Time we stayed was amazing and I can see that time takes its toll. Other units rent for less and have do not have these issues.
Owner response:We are so sorry that 203 did not live up to standards. We love our little place and only want it to be the best place possible. We took your advice and had fun shopping and buying things for the condo. It was like remodeling all over again. We bought new pillows and all new bedding. We replaced the shower head. There is a new cutlery set in the kitchen with scissors and very sharp knives. We put in new utensils, new pots and pans, pot holders and matching towels, a new kitchen mat, and put the cutest little palm tree lamp next to the bed. The toilet paper will hold paper without breaking now, brand new. We have touched-up lots of things and the place looks awesome. We would like you to come back and stay with us. We only want to provide the best we can for you. We have resolved the issues with the condo. We hope you will come back to Maui very soon. Mahalo for your input and your stay with us.

I 100% recommend that you get ahold of Brett & Jennifer and rent this unit! They are totally there to make your expierence in paradise a great one. This unit had 3 beach chairs (two of which worked like a back pack) and beach umbrella, several beach mats, two boogie boards, and even some sun tan lotion! They own Maui cleaning company and upon my arrival the place was so clean you could eat off the floor. The unit has been remodled and the bed was super comfortable. No levelor windows which made it much more enjoyable to enjoy the view. The free internet coonection and long distance calls was really nice. The kitchen was nice with stainless steel appliances, and beautiful granite counter-tops. This resort has a very nice pool and hot tub. It is very nice property with banana and papaya trees. Across the street is a nice beach, and if you go out past the jetty you will see awesome reefs and turtles! I really hated to leave, and Brett even called the morning of my departure to tell me there was no rush in leaving because the next tenant wasn't coming in until later that evening. In all my visits to Maui, Brett and Jennifer were the most awesome people that I have rented from. I will back on Maui in December, and it's nice to know that I don't have to shop online for a place to say because I will stay at their unit again for sure! Best unit in the complex and the price is a real bargain. No need to stay at a more expansive place because you don't spend that much time in your room. The pictures you see online are what you will really see. I felt that the picture online does not do the real view justice.....I feel it's better in person. Thank you Brett and Jennifer for such an awesome place! Aaron

We just came home from a wonderful stay at the Kihei Bay Surf. We were originally a little hesitant about renting on line but were more than pleasantly surprised by the condo. It was as pretty as in the pictures and location is extremely convenient. The owners have made us feel very much at home and all online processes easy. We have already planned another visit back in April.

We stayed here on our honeymoon. It was a great little place to stay. The value and quality were excellent. Also, the location is great! It is within 20 minutes of the airport in Kahului. There are numerous grocery stores in Kihei so you can buy your own food and prepare it either in the kitchen or out on the grills next to the pool. Also, plenty of restaurants nearby if you don't feel like cooking! The view out of the lanai was partial oceanview, but still beautiful. Noise wasn't bad at all. The bed was comfortable, bathroom nicely decorated, kitchen remodeled... For $60/night, you can't get any better!! We fell in love with Maui and we will definitely be returning. And if available, we will stay here again!

This was our first trip to maui. The apt exceeded our expectations. We were pleasently suprised with all the extras. Boogie boards, chairs, cooler etc. what a great home base while exploring maui. The bed was really comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom were very clean and modern. Having the ice machine was such nice feature. It was also a very good location, close to everything but away from the noise of town. The price is so reasonable for all that is included, I dont think you could find a better deal. We would definitly return to this unit.

This was our second trip to Maui and our second stay at this exact condo/unit. The remodeling done to the condo was unbelievable. We couldn't believe that it was the same condo. We really enjoyed staying in the condo before it was remodeled but now it's fantastic. The unit it very comfortable, very clean and brand new! The kitchen has great new appliances, the bathroom is all brand new, there is great cable TV, a lovely lanai looking onto the ocean, great additional amenities such as tennis rackets, boogie boards, beach towels, chairs, mini frig with soft drinks, snacks and much more. This condo has everything you need and could possibly want. The pool is nice and the hot tub is amazing. The owners were unbelievably great! They are very easy to get in contact with and extremely nice. I am so glad that they bought this condo and have done such a great job remodeling and managing it. I highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a great place that is far superior than a hotel and at a much better price. I loved it so much that I am planning another trip this summer! See you soon!

We loved our pied-a-terre! We had a wonderful stay in this beautifully renovated and modern studio as well as a great experience with the owners. The condo was fully equipped with everything we needed to ensure a fantastic stay, and our stay in Maui was just that, FANTASTIC! Prior to our arrival we were in frequent communication with the owners which was very reassuring and she was available to answer any questions. Check-in was effortless, the apartment was clean, and what a relief it was to find that the condo looked exactly like the pictures provided on the website. The owners went out of their way to make sure our needs were met, and even bought us a kettle. They also made themselves available to us should we need anything during our stay. We loved having a cooler, ice pack, beach chairs, mats and boogie boards. We loved your charming little studio and we would definitely stay with you again. Mahalo!

We love the newly remodeled condo and would definitely come back to this same unit. The owners did an excellent job in remodeling. Everything is up-to-dated and the condo is pretty cleaned. It's like staying at a nice hotel without having to pay the hefty bill. All the amenities were provided (e.g. beach chairs, boogie boards, tennis rackets, etc.). Thank you for the rental and we will see you again.

This is a beautiful unit. We enjoyed our stay very much. The owners did a wonderful remodel on the unit and were so kind as to leave boogie boards and coolers (etc.) in the unit for our use. The actual complex Kihei Bay Surf is average, but if you are looking for a nice place that is not as expensive as staying at one of the hotels here it is a great option.
