My closest girlfriends and I traveled to Key West for a mutual friends bachelorette weekend. Being that we were all from the northeast we were so excited for 4 days of fun in the sun. After a long and wet drive down from Miami we were delighted to meet Shel at "Casa Louisa" - just as the sun was starting to peak out from behind the clouds. The house itself was so adorable! It was both warm and inviting while still being spacious enough for the 6 of us. Between the 2 downstairs bedrooms and the upstairs loft, we never felt cramp. The house was very true to its pictures with new furniture and a lovely kitchen fully stocked with everything we needed for the weekend. The outdoor pool area acted as a second living room as we spent most of the trip lounging outside. The location of the house was equally as special, just far enough of from the heart of Duval street so you still have that "sleepy beach" feel but close enough so that we could park the SUV on the side of the road and get around by foot for the entire vacation. Shel was so very accommodating, he knew all the ins and outs of the house and was always available. He even did something special for the bride, setting up a gorgeous display of champagne and cupcakes after chatting with her fiance! All in all it was a wonderful and memorable weekend and mostly because of the house. We hope to be back soon and would absolutely stay at the "Casa Louisa"!

Wonderful in Every Way

I can't say enough good things about Casa Luisa and Last Key Realty. From start to finish the rental and on-site staff were professional, responsive and downright friendly. The property itself, it was exactly as advertised. In fact the plunge pool in the back was larger than I thought it would be. The backyard offers plenty of privacy and the property was clean and well -maintained. As for the Conch Cottage, although it offers only 1,000 sq ft of living space, it was more than large enough for four people. The third, upstairs, bedroom doesn't have an attached bathroom making it better suited to children. We had one minor glitch during our stay: the refrigerator gave out, but Shel the property manager had someone onsite the very next day to make the repair. We lost some food, but Last Key were nice enough to offer us a credit to offset the cost. The location couldn't be beat - at the "quiet"/South end of Duval Street; a few minutes away from restaurants, 3 blocks from the Southernmost tip of the US, and 2 1/2 blocks away from South Beach which offers a full range of amenities including rental chairs and umbrellas, bathroom, beach cafe, water sport rentals. etc. A short 15 minute walk had us in the thick of Duval Street fun. I have absolutely no hesitation recommending Casa Louisa and Last Key Realty and renting again should we return.

Lovely cottage rental

Casa Louisa was everything the listing described and more. It was such a lovely quaint cottage and so "Key West". Sitting on a little quiet street yet so close to everything. The convenience to coffee and breakfast places not to mention bike delivery was great.The property was well maintained and the back patio and pool area was enjoyable. There was a lot of privacy even though the houses are close to each other. The pool is small but certainly big enough to cool off or warm up on a cool spring evening. These features were all nice but the best part of renting Casa Louisa was the personal service given to us by Shel, the property manager. He contacted us prior to our arrival so he could personally greet us at the house. He made sure we were well acquainted with the place and was more than attentive when we called him with a leaky toilet. It was fixed immediately. This was truly a great spot to spend some vacation time with our older boys. He stopped by to see us on our departure as well. Great job Shel. Thank You I would highly recommend Last Key Realty and this property again.

Great Location, Beautiful House

I booked Casa Louisa for my best friend’s bachelorette party of 7 girls. The house was a perfect size for our group. We loved the outdoor pool and deck and were able to catch some rays during the little down time we had. Casa Louisa is located on the quiet end of Duval St. but it is an easy walk or cheap cab ride everywhere. We LOVED the spot. Thanks so much for a GREAT vacation!

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy and quaint key west style home. Quiet location and short walk to the action. Our children enjoyed renting bikes and our grandson really like the pool. We have stayed in a bed & breakfast in Key West before and we liked having the kitchen and washer and dryer. Shel was very informative and answered all our questions before and during our stay. We will definately contact them again for our next adventure in Key West

My family and I stayed at Casa Louisa and the house, amenities and Shel were fabulous! There were 6 adults and a 2 1/2 year old that stayed at this property. There are 3 bedrooms and all are ideally located to allow privacy and space away from others if you need a break. My 2 1/2 year old grandson slept on the roll-away couch just outside one of the master bedrooms, just enough space for his parents to have privacy and a restful night. There is a heated pool, outdoor patio with a grill that we used, which was great and enough space on the patio to hang out and visit. The property is located 1/2 block off of the main street where there are shops and restaurants and yet is in a quiet neighborhood, so one can get rest at night. Shel the property manager is excellent! He is helpful and knows the island well. He is welcoming and friendly so you feel at home. If you are planning to stay in Key West, this is a great place to stay and Shel is fabulous!!!!

Great Cottage

This cottage is exactly as is shown in the photos - maybe better. We had five adults who enjoyed the privacy of the pool and backyard area. We cooked most of our meals on the barbecue grill. It was quiet and comfortable and everything we needed was supplied. It was an easy walk to everything so no need for a car. Shel and the entire staff were awesome in ensuring that we enjoyed our vacation and our stay at Casa Louisa could not have been better. Would highly recommend this cottage.

Charming Cottage

Casa Louisa was the perfect place for our family vacation with two adult children. The small house still had plenty of room for the 4 of us. Even though the kitchen and living room areas are relatively small, we just turned off the air conditioning and kept the french doors to the pool and deck opened all day, virtually doubling our living area. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed but very small. Do not come here with dreams of cooking a turkey because simply will not fit in the apartment sized oven. But at 1/2 of a block off of Duval, we ate out most nights or had leftovers out by the pool. Shel was very accomodating, helped us find a captain for a day of fishing, madde many recommendations for restaurants, and checked in on us from time to time. We will definitely stay with Home Away again.

Great Key West Cottage

We had a wonderful week at Casa Louisa. It is on our favorite end of Duval and walking distance to everything. The house has great flow for a family of 6. (4 adults & 2kids). The home is clean and exactly as shown in the pictures. The backyard is wonderful and the heated pool was perfect for the kids. Shel did a great job. He met us at the property even though it was 6:30 on Saturday night and shared lots of information with us. We had one problem with the pool heat and he came right over to take care of it. He also came to say goodbye. Great service! We highly recommend Casa Louisa and will be going back.

The description online was fairly accurate. However, the photos, probably taken with a wide-angle lens, made the house look more roomy than actual. That being said, I knew the square footage, and was not surprised of the actual dimensions. I would recommend taking out the bar area just outside the master bedroom and installing a closet. There is little space for luggage and hanging clothes in the master. The master bed, a king, is need of a new mattress. The property was clean. Parking worked out although there is no assigned space. We were able to park our van right in front of the house for the week that we resided in Casa Louisa. The pool was great! We had it heated and it was well worth the cost. It was enjoyable to take a dip in the evenings after walking Key West all day. A couple of recommended restaurants: Seven Fish for dinner, Camille's (right around the corner and great all day long), Ana's Cuban Cafe, Half Shell Raw bar, D J's Clam Shack (close by) and Margaritaville for drinks and food. The best Key Lime pie is at Camille's. We come to Key West every year about this time and have stay in different locations. This location is nice because it is at the far end of Duval, an easy walk down to the center of the action and fairly quiet. Shel, the property manager, will meet you upon arrival introduce to the house. Since we are here every winter, we didn't need any recommendations but he did give us a couple for dining which were fine. If you want to be walking distance to the action on Duval and Mallory Square, but quiet when away from the activity, this a good place to stay.

Little house but it works!

We, three couples, stayed for a week and had a great time. The house was small as we thought it would be and we used every inch. The front porch was great for morning coffee for the early risers, and the back patio/pool area was our area of choice for eating and sunning and of course dipping in the pool. The location was away from the hubbub but close to lots of restaurants and galleries. Shel, the manager who was very responsive and helpful, suggested a number of restaurants which we tried and all were great. We rented bikes for the week and left our cars parked definitely would do that again. We noticed that the street was parked up at times so this worked out perfectly. I recommend the house for 4 people, or 6 if everyone gets along well.

Wonderful Vacation Idyll

My family (including my parents and my small children) all loved our stay at this house. It's wonderfully equipped with everything we could think to need, from band aids to lightbulbs--even Splenda! The house was well decorated and impeccably clean. The location certainly can't be beat and the pool became the kids' private domain. We felt like we were in our own world. Shel, the agent, was remarkably kind and helpful. He certainly had that relaxed and friendly Key West vibe. I would unreservedly recommend this house and, for that matter, Last Key Realty.

Christmas family vacation @ Casa Louisa

We really did not know what to expect, but boy were we surprised! Not only was the unit nice, but it was very clean and neat. With a flat screen TV in all the bedrooms and family room. The pool was heated and ready to jump right in when we got there. Talk about location, location, location...we were just a short walk (even faster with a bike) from the beach (15 min or less), southern most point (10min), Hemingway's home (10 min), and only 1/2 block off of Duval Street where everything is going on...Great restaurants were right around the corner. We enjoyed the Banana Cafe, Nine one Five, Black Fin Bistro, Blue Heaven, Southern most point Cafe and of course Sloppy Joe's. We also went deep sea fishing and Captain Bob set us up on a 3/4 day trip. We were lucky enough to land a 36 lb 49 in long mahi mahi. Also, we enjoyed our sunset cruise on the Adirondack III. All the champagne, beer, wine, cheese, and shrimp you wanted was included. Shel, our guest services manager was also great and made sure we had everything we needed.

Stayed with my wife and two other couples celebrating my 50th birthday November 25th. It was also the 50th birthday for another female member of our party on November 24th so we were making the best of growing old. The home was conveniently located and was adequate for our needs for a short week. The home is a former cigar village home and given the limitation of this type of structure they've done a good job of maxing the space. The photos did give the illusion of larger spaces than the actual size. We were about visiting and experiencing Key West and this location was not far from any of the places we wished to see. Home was clean and we were pleased with the welcome we received and the information we were given. We enjoyed our birthday celebration and appreciate the hospitality of the rental service.

What a quaint house right off of Duvall St, it took us minutes to get anywhere. Shel, the house manager was waiting when our taxi arrived and helped with all our bags. He is a delightful man and was most accommodating for our group of girls. He even came back at the end of our trip to make sure we had a lovely time, which of course it was fabulous. It's the Keys!!! Perfect Vacation Home

This beautiful cigar home is just perfect. It is directly off of Duval so you are within walking distance from everything; however it is located at the quiet end so you have the best of both worlds at your feet. We rented this place for our family to attend our son's wedding that was held in the garden of Ernest Hemingway's house. It accomodated 6 people well. This was the 2nd year that we returned to Key West. We will never be able to stay in a hotel ever again on vacation. When we return, we will stay at this property again. Staying in this warm home with all the benefits is just too good to pass up for comfort. Shel, our Guest Sevices Manager, was so personal and met us upon arrival as well as seeing us off on our departure day. The house was perfect when we arrived with all of the beautiful lighting. In addition, he was very helpful in providing suggestions to us for dining and renting the electic car. Impressive to me was the fact that he remembered all of our parties names after only meeting us a few days before. He made us feel very special. I would highly recommend this property.

My husband and I and another couple chose Casa Louisa for a Key West visit and I must share that we all LOVED it! The house is perfectly located for walking to the southernmost beach as well as the sunset party on Mallory Square! There are plenty of amazing restaurants, shops and bars near the house and we had such fun using this as our home base. The house itself is lovely! It is so attractively decorated, spotlessly clean and very well designed foruse by two couples! The bedrooms are private and each of the ones on the first floor has its own bath. The full kitchen was great for preparing breakfast or stay at home suppers. It was outfitted perfectly so that we didnt need to bring a thing to feel right at home. The backyard dunking pool was just what we needed after long walks during hot sunny days and the deck was a perfect, private, pretty place to unwind and relax! Separate air conditioners for each bedroom let each couple be comfortable as well! The washer and dryer made life much easier for us as did the dishwasher! Finally, everyone at Last Key Realty was so very helpful with special thanks to Shel who did everything to help us from greeting us on arrival to providing the quick list of the best of everything in Key West! We would all happily stay here again and hope to do so in the future!

This was our second time staying at the home. The house is so clean and kept up very well. The backyard has a lot of sunlight for lounging during the day. You're at the upper end of Duval ( quiet end ) and very close to the beach. Shel, the house manager is a pleasure. He met us upon our arrival and even called during our stay to make sure we were happy. You cannot go wrong staying here, we will be back next year!!

For a family girz weekend, we rented Casa Louisa and were blown away by the service, the location and the house. Shel was the ultimate agent - met us at the house (on our schedule), gave us the tour and made sure we were all set. To top it off, he even gave 2 of our group a ride to the airport on the day of departure - now that's real service! The house was pristine, the towels fluffy and plentiful, all the way down to towels for the pool. Washer and dryer available for those still-damp t-shirts or total washing if needed. Perfectly sized kitchen, 2 great bathrooms (a must for 4 women). Location was great. Very close to Duval Street, so it was easy to get to the action but not so close that we heard anything (as a matter fact, we couldn't even hear the rain). And parking for our car. We will definitely come back! Great place and fabulous service!

Casa Louisa is a gem. I've stayed at close to a dozen rental homes thoughout the US and this one is a great one. I worked with Shel, the house manager, and he was a pleasure to work with. I called Shel when we where close to the house and he was there within a few minutes to greet us, show us the house, provide some tips, etc. Great experience with Last Key and Shel. So the house is a small cottage right off of Duval street. The location is great as you can walk to all the busy stuff on duval within 10 minutes or just stay in the area as their are lots of restaurants/bars/shops. The location is quiet at night and we felt very comfortable walking the area. very safe. The house itself has two seperate bedrooms and a loft area that we used as a third bedroom. 2 kings, 1 queen. 2 full bathrooms. the house amentities are very nice, comfortable chairs, beds, linens, etc. I slept well. The living room is tiny but quaint and the outside patio offers comfortable seating for 6 people +. we spent a lot of time on the patio, grilled (gas grill) food and lounged in the pool. The pool is about 10'x10' and comfortable. The pictures are very accurate. We found everything we needed to cook in the kitchen but it is small so I wouldn't plan on making huge meals here. There is a standard sized fridge/freezer and a seperate tiny fridge. AC worked well throughout the house. There are plenty of towels (bath and beach) onsite. And a washer/dryer if you want to wash clothes/towels. The house was extremely clean which is very refreshing as many rentals are not clean. This one was pretty much spotless. Thanks again for being so clean and tidy, it makes a difference. All of the tv's worked with cable, there was a ipod station that we used by the pool. The outdoor patio is also very private, privacy fencing and plants. There is street parking in front of the house and we never had a problem parking even though it is essentially shared parking. At the end of the day, I would come back here again and again. we had 3 couples (6 peope) that had a great time in Keywest and Casa Louisa was perfect for us. I found the house to be more comfortable than the hotel we stayed at in KW for 2 nights prior (Casa Marina-Waldorf Astoria hotel). I also appreciated that the house can be rented for 4 days instead of the standard week rate. That makes the house more affordable for a long weekend. Don't hesitate to rent this home, it is a great choice.

We three had a wonderful stay here in Casa Louisa. Private patio & pool to relax, lot of attractions within walking distance, quite surrounding... The house itself is charming and a superb center for exploring Key West. The best thing is the way to get informed and are supported from the guest manager, Shel. He personally welcomed us, explained everything and was there every time when we had a question - not only related to the house itself, also for dining, shopping .... Our next time in Key West will be definitely again in Casa Louisa.

Shel and the staff at Last Key were great. Shel helped set up a few excursions for our group and made some great restaurant recommendations as well. The residence was perfect for our needs and all 6 of us in the house had nothing but good things to say about the residence. I'd recommend Casa Louisa and Last Key Realty to any group looking to stay close to the action but still wanting a nice place to cool down. PS - the pool was an absolute necessity!

The property was very nice and well appointed. Shel met us for a late arrival to ensure we would be comfortable and knew our way around! Wonderful vacation at Casa Louisa

My husband, myself and our three adult daughters had a wonderful time here and the location and house itself had a lot to do with it. We were close enough to walk to everything we wanted to do, including the night life, beach and restaurants, but far enough away that it was quiet at night when we needed it to be. The only time we used the car was to drive to one of the other keys. The only negative I have is that the sofa bed mattresses would need to be changed if you are counting on using them. Shel was extremely helpful and so is the information left in the house about the area. I would highly recommend this house (with the mattresses being changed) to anyone and everyone. Our stay at Casa Louisa was fantastic. We had plenty of space for 6 adults and especially enjoyed the patio and pool. The location was great - close enough to walk to everything, but we didn't get any of the noice from Duval. The furnishings in the house were great; we had everything we needed for cooking in the house a couple times. The property was clean and well-maintained. Shel, the property manager, stopped by to make sure everything was good and was very quick to repsond to any questions we had. I would absolutely recommend Casa Louisa to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Key West!

I would highly recommend this cottage for anyone who is looking for a great loacation off of Duval. It was located far enough away that the noise of the night life was not a factor, but close enough to have easy access to everything, including a nice beach. The house was nicely furnished and was accurately depicted in the photographs. We stuffed 8 adults, which was doable but very tight. This property would be ideal for six adults. Shel with Last Key Realty was easy to work with and very friendly upon our arrival. This was our first experience with Home Away, but I will definitely use it again based on this experience.

The house is clean, comfortable and a delight to relax in after the hustle and bustle of Duval Street. Although it is close and convenient, it is quiet and well appointed. The property manager (Shel) was available when needed and gave us a great overview of the area upon our arrival. We followed many of his recommendations. We would stay there again--our party was four adults. In addition, we would have no problem recommending the house to other visitors.

For the past two years on memorial day weekend we have stayed at Casa Louisa and have every intention on returning again to this property. At the risk of creating a higher demand for this wonderful property , I will say the location is very convenient, the amenities conducive to a relaxing stay away from home, and the property management team couldnt be more helpful. I hihgly recommend this property and property management team to anyone traveling to Key West. Lori and Shel were fantastic!

We had the BEST stay ever in Key West. The house itself is beautiful, clean and close to all the action. We would use the pool in the morning, walk Duval in the afternoon, then come back and use the pool in the evening. We cooked several meals and the kitchen is very accommodating. I will never get another hotel room again when I go down to Key West. A conch house is the way to go. Never had any problems and the Shel was a dream to deal with, made us all feel like home.

My friend and I travelled with my two teenagers. The home was perfect for us (though it appears a little larger on the computer). The teens could separate and watch TV in each room. The patio was delightful for a pre-dinner cocktail. Shel, the property manager, was very helpful in directing us to restaurants. His recommendation to rent bikes was great - FYI 10% off if you rent online. We will definitely visit Key West again!

Myself and three of my girlfriends stayed in this perfect villa for 5 days. The property manager was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. The location was perfect also, at the quiet end of Duval St., close to main attractions and quaint cafes. We woke up every morning and had pool side mimosas and breakfast we prepared in the kitchen. We would then walk the island, visit attractions, eat amazing food, and do some shopping. It was easy to come back to Casa Louisa, get cleaned up, and head out for the night life! After the bars close you can enjoy a heated pool for an evening swim! Needless to say, we did not want to leave! I would recommend this property to anyone!

Casa Louisa worked perfectly for our Key West vacation/daughter's wedding. The house is small, but the bedroom arrangement was such that we never felt crowded with the 6 adults staying there. It was wonderful only being a few steps from Duval and all the great eating and night time activities. Shel was great and went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay perfect! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone going to Key West!!

Let me start off by saying, what you see is what you get, thankfully! This was my first time ever renting a home and I still cant believe how easy this was, the hardest part was picking the house. Casa Louisa was great to us, she had such a comfortable at home charm, clean and close to everything we needed. She accomodated 6 of us and we were never crammed. The only thing we missed was a full length mirror and would have been nice if we had some bikes, however renting a bike was not hard to find. We are looking forward to returning to our home in paradise real soon. Thank you for your hospitality!! Kathleen, Will, Vinnie, Jenn, Pat and Cousin Larry the mailman from Clearwater.

Owner response: A full length mirror is a great idea, so the next guests that check in will find a mirror installed on the back of the bedroom door. Having bikes available on the property is a bit more of a problem, because of liability issues that cannot be solved by simple disclaimers on our lease form.

Your home was absolutely charming and cozy! Our group consisted of 6 adults and as small as it appeared outside, it was perfect. It made it especially nice with the half kitchen. We walked daily to the Cafe at the end of the block for breakfast and also "discovered" a nice Italian place at the other end of the block. We enjoyed all hanging out on the back deck in the evenings together as a group, and it made for a nice walk to the more "busy" end of Duvall...We would really like to visit your home again, you are very lucky to own such a lovely place in Key West. Someday my husband and I hope to be so fortunate...Thanks again also to Shel, he was such a nice man. He made us feel very welcome, and he was extremely helpful...

Forget a hotel- you want this house!

We rented this house as a group of 6 people and it was perfect. Ample sleeping areas and a full kitchen, as well as the pool and outdoor patio and BBQ made it such a great experience. We saved tons of money cooking our own meals and also got to have some great intimate friend time without paying ridiculous Key West prices! It was close to all of the Key West attractions and some great beaches. Shel- the property manager was friendly and helpful and we wanted for nothing! I would never stay in a hotel in Key West again when I know I can have this great accommodation at such a reasonable price.

My family (5 adults & 1 baby) recently stayed in this home. The location is FABULOUS...the quiet end of Duval St, but within easy walking distance to any place you want to go. The property manager, Shel, was extremely personable & attentive, stopping by the first day to greet us & immediately attending/addressing the few small problems which arose (Wi-Fi was down due to an issue with Comcast & a small algae bloom in the pool.) He also helped us with recommendations on places to visit/eat (Banana Cafe is 100 feet away on the corner & is absolutely delicious- especially the tuna fish sandwiches!). We LOVE Shel!! The property is a small cottage, but you don't come to Key West to sit inside all day. The kitchen & grill made it easy to have family meals, although there is only seating for 4 at the kitchen table & 4 outside on the deck, but you can open the doors to join the space. The washer and dryer was also a nice bonus (so pack light!) allowing us to wash clothes, towels, bathing suits, etc. We were really happy during our stay in Key West & would definitely recommend this property.

Great place to stay right off Duval

My husband and I stayed at Casa Louisa along with three other friends and we fit very comfortably. We never felt over crowded.The backyard is great for bbq's (which we did frequently) and a great place to get some sun in the afternoon. Even though it was right off of Duval, we never experienced loud noise from the bar crowds. The house was very clean and well kept. The house manager, Shel, was great. He greeted us upon on arrival, checked in mid week to see if everything was ok (which I never had that happen to prior home rentals) and said good bye on our last day. He made sure we were comfortable, which we were most certainly. We will definitely use this rental company again when we visit next year. You will not be disappointed!

Our stay was great and the house comfortably accommodated my boyfriend and I and his 2 teenage daughters and their 2 friends (6 in total). The beds were very comfortable and the sheets felt soft. There were plenty of towels. We grilled outside many nights which worked great since teenagers get hungry often. The pool is small, but it's great for cooling off. What we loved about this house was that at the end of the block on Duval (50 feet away) there was a very nice coffee shop. My boyfriend and I had our morning coffee and snacks there. Southernmost beach is a 5-minute walk. You are so centrally located that you can be in and out all day and it's no production (don't need a cab, etc.) Great location; Great fun!

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very comfortable for 5 people. Loved the front porch and back deck and pool. We rented bikes and rode everywhere. Fort Zachary Taylor Beach is gorgeous and great for swimming. Smathers is great for walking, lounging, and water sports. Though we were close to Duval St, noise was never a problem.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed in Casa Louisa last year between Christmas and New Year's. The location is absolutely perfect on the 'quiet end' of Duval Street. We found the cottage to be larger then it appears in pictures and it comfortably fit 6 adults without an issue. It is clean and airy and the little pool in the backyard is just enough if you need a quick dip. We look foward to staying there again and again.

This is a quaint little cottage at the 'quiet end' of Duval Street. This cottage is deceivingly small from the outside and from some of the pictures. However, we stayed there with 6 adults, in total, and it suited us very well and we were not crammed in at all. The amenities were perfect for our needs. It's cathedral ceilings create a light and airy feel to the space. The little pool in the back yard is perfect if you need a quick dip and/or for after hours cooling off. There is plenty of deck space for sunbathing and hanging out. We had a wonderful time here and look foward to returning often!
