The apartment 'Florian' is situated in Piazza del Duomo in the heart of Florence’s historical centre, on the fourth floor without lift of a prestigious XVI century palace that once belonged to the Ghiberti family, one of Florence’s most important historical families.

Spending time in my apartment is to be accompanied by the shadow of the magnificent dome of Brunelleschi, the grandeur of Giotto’s belltower and the splendour of Vasari’s frescos, in an unforgettable dream that Florence will dream with you and bring you great joy and an even greater desire to return.
Florian directly faces the Duomo, giving you the sensation that you could reach out and touch its magnificent green and white marble facade. The apartment has been completely restored in Florentine style, but with all modern comforts.

Florian is a romantic and welcoming apartment comprising: a cosy living room with a comfortable sofa bed (120 by 195), a small and fully-equipped kitchen with a balcony that offers a charming view of Florence, a bedroom with two single beds (85 by 200) that can be transformed into a double bed. A small entrance hall with a splendid view of the Duomo and one modern bathroom with shower complete the description of the apartment.

All modern comforts are provided: air conditioning, LCD TV, satellite TV, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave oven, american coffee, WiFI internet dsl no cable, air conditioning, safe, telephone, security door and entry phone.

  • My family stayed in this apartment for 4 nights and we really enjoyed the accomodations. The apartment is very nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable. The view is spectacular. The apartment is in the center of Florence so it is convenient to all areas in the city. Luca is very nice and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Florence.

  • My friend and I stayed in this chic little apartment for one week. We booked through vrbo, and the emails I received from Luca were so friendly that I felt comfortable booking this apartment. Luca met us at the apartment, and was a charming and hospitable as his emails. The apartment is all brand new, clean and creatively and fashionably decorated. I liked the faux-suede couch - very Italian! Even though it was small, it had the feeling of spaciousness as it is spread out, and there are four steps up to the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen and bathroom fully equipped. The posted photos are exactly what the apartment looks like, athough the proximity of the Duomo church is even more unbelievable when you are there. The apartment is in an ancient Palazzo, and we enjoyed going through the huge door directly off the famous Duomo square. It was noisy, but the double glazed windows helped. Note: there are mosquitos. Others have mentioned the 87 steps (we counted them too!), so of course this apartment is not good for people with mobility problems, but great for burning off all the pasta we ate!   • We had reserved this apt for a week this past summer and my husband tore his ACL and we couldn't go. Luca was SO nice and said that he would be happy to put out down payment toward a future visit. I HOPE we can visit soon but if not, he was SUPER gracious and understanding.   • My niece and I spent a full week in this apartment and had a wonderful time. Luca, the owner, was gracious, friendly and available if/when we needed him. The place is spotlessly clean, bright, airy and beautifully located. You'll need to haul your luggage up 87 steps but it's great exercise and completely worth the effort. The Piazza del Duomo can stay noisy with partying young people and celebrating soccer fans into the early morning hours but I would stay there again without a second thought. This is money well-spent.

  • The Florian apartment is lovely and is in an excellent central location. The apartment is nicely outfitted with modern appliances/amenities (small flat panel satellite TV, good air conditioning, dishwasher, modern kitchen and bathroom) while the old-world architectural charm of the apartment is intact. We found this apartment to be very comfortable. Highly recommended!
