Weekly rental requires $300 security deposit, wknd $150-$300.

Cancellations must be made within 4 wks to qualify for a deposit refund,
Minus $100 processing charge. Any parties numbering more than 8 may be
subject to a $50 surcharge/person/day.

My name is Leon, but some call me Lenny. I traveled Upstate New York for most of my life in the US, but came to love Delaware/Broome Counties for their nature and unsurpassed trout fishing & hunting. Came upon this house by an accident and it was the best accident that happened to me! Now, faced with a hectic lifestyle, working the Tri-State area, I am no longer able to visit the place as often as I would like and in turn decided to share this piece of paradise with a few special people. We recently returned from a stay at this property. Communications with the owner was outstanding. We even took a ride a week before to scout out the property. From the moment we arrived we experienced a scenic view of the private lake. It was not long before the snow flurries arrived further enhancing the experience. The grounds were clean and well organized with a fishing dock and small craft launch. In addition to the watercraft that we brought with us, the owner had a row boat, canoe, and kayak available for us to further enhancing the long weekend. The property caretaker arrived with a full canister of propane, and was very cordial at answering our questions. The fishing both from the dock and on the lake was outstanding with the final catch tally being a number of largemouth bass, chain pickerel and perch which we returned to live another day. As for the house, everything was clean and sound. Yes all the doors and windows did lock. The view from the deck and inside the living room of the home was picture postcard perfect. There was a number of TV’s and internet service which we chose not to use. We had one hell of a great time, and we are looking to return soon. Thank You again for sharing this magnificent opportunity.

Had planned a fun weekend meeting girlfriends at the cottage from different parts of the state. Arrived late and off season to have a very difficult time finding the house as it has no house number visible from road. Then came to find out that 2 of the 3 outside doors DID NOT LOCK. At all. The house is in a beautiful location and I'm sure all the other reviews are accurate, but I don't think I'm asking a lot to lock a door (or 2) at night.
Owner response:Personally visited the house after Karol's visit and inspected each and every lock. All three doors locked perfectly. If there was ever a problem, Karol could have called me and I would have a caretaker there immediately. Appreciate the positive portion of the review though.

My family and I just returned from our July 4th weekend getaway. We had a great time during our stay. Fishing was superb, the action was non-stop. Caught 15-20 large mouth bass on top water poppers in the morning and a 5" purple/blue flake shaky worm rigged weightless and texas style (I left one on the metal shelf by the fishing tackle for the next lucky fisherman to use). My wife, daughter, and mother-in-law relaxed, went into town, (although there wasnt much for them to do), they still had a nice time. I even got my wife out on the boat and taught her how to cast! And took my 17 month old out for her first ever boat ride. I have to mention that the electric trolling motor didnt work, which was disapointing, but it didnt stop us from rowing around the lake and catching fish and giving my father-in-law and myself some much needed exercise after all the good food at the Chestnut Inn! Being able to walk down to the water in the morning with a cup of coffee and my fishing rod was a definate highlight. The home owner is extremely nice and an avid fisherman who answered all of our extensive questions with enthusiasm. All in all, a great first family vacation, and a great place to get away from all the congestion the Jersey shore has during the holidays. Fishing anywhere in Jersey just wont compare!

The Blueberry Lake house provided my family of 5 a great vacation week. We really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, canoeing/kayaking on the lake, fishing, just sitting on the dock. Our kids ran down to the dock every morning in their pj's, while I enjoyed a cup of coffee on the deck. The yard provided shade and an inviting hammock. The accomodations were really nice, with 3 bathrooms providing lots of nice hot water. We did not want to leave and will plan on returning!

Thank you, owners! The place is beautiful. Fishing is great even from the dock - we did not have too much luck with the weather to try fishing from the boat, but caught some good size crappies, bass and pickerel right from the dock. The house is big, comfortable and has all amenities you could think of including sauna. Lake is nice and quite since there are no motorboats allowed. We would definitely consider this place as a number 1 choice for our next visit to this area. Thanks ! Oleg

Great place for fisherman (and fisherwomen) of all ages. Two boats are available to rentors, and the lake is full of fish. I caught many bass, a few good-sized pickerel and the largest crappie's I've ever encountered. As a bonus, the West Branch of the Delaware river is only a 15-minute drive away. The owner is very accomodating, and an extremely enthusiastic fisherman who went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed--and he gave me some great fishing tips to boot!

my friends and i had a great weekend up at blueberry lake. the house had plenty of couches to hang out on, and came with everything we needed. the owner was really helpful with questions we had about where things were. we grilled all weekend on the nice gas grill and went fishing on the lake. we were the only people on the lake most of the time, and caught some pretty decent bass. the water was also clean and warm enough for swimming. it was the perfect relaxing weekend out of the city. one important thing rentors should be aware of is that none of us had cell phone reception (verizon, t-mobile, sprint), which could actually be a good thing. but there is a landline, so rentors should pick up a calling card if they absolutely need to stay in touch with the outside world.

Our vacation at this house was very enjoyable. The house itself was clean. Everything we needed was there. The surroundings are beautiful--you can actually see the stars at night. The lake made our stay even better. We were fishing most of the time. Another good thing about this lake house is that there is almost no one around so we had the whole lake to ourselves.
