Our second visit and it just gets better. Comfortable, roomy accomodations. Perfect place for family and friends to visit, and a great base to stay while seeing the sights. We're already looking forward to 2012!

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

Great for our six person family.

We came to Michigan the week of Thanksgiving to go to the Michigan football game and spend Thanksgiving with family. We stayed one week and Jeff/Diane were very accommodating about shifting our week to start on Friday and offered a fair price for if we wanted to stay a few days longer. The contract was clear about our responsibilities (trash day, dishes clean when we left, etc.) and our deposit was returned promptly. Great and prompt owner communication. Overall, a great experience from the business end of things. We had six people staying at the cottage - myself, my husband, two young children (elem school age), and my in-laws. With three bedrooms, there was plenty of room for everyone. All three bedrooms are upstairs. The children used the front bedroom with a double and a twin which had a big closet, dresser and plenty of room. We stayed in the middle bedroom that has a queen bed. There was an armoire for hanging things and ample room in the dresser. It was probably the smallest bedroom. The back master bedroom has a beautiful view of the lake and is the biggest room. There is a big hall closet with everything you might need: sheets, blankets, pillows, towels. Upstairs there is one full bathroom, although it's a big jet-type tub without a shower. Downstairs is another full bathroom, tub with shower. Plenty of hot water, good water pressure. The downstairs was great. Plenty of room for everyone to hang out. TV had cable, and we had no trouble using the Wi-Fi with our laptops. Lots of books to borrow and board games to play. The cottage is only about 10-15 minutes from all the shopping and restaurants in Brighton. Freeway is about 5-10 minutes down the road. The kitchen had plenty of room for preparing meals, and the dining table easily sat six. Plenty of dishes, cups, pans, etc. There isn't a dishwasher, but I'll take the laundry room over a dishwasher any day! We did laundry halfway through the week, and everything worked fine. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, even with all the close neighbors. It's too bad it was too cold to enjoy the lake! We did enjoy the gas fireplace though! My children liked seeing the bunnies hop through the yard. Overall an excellent experience and we hope to come back next year!

Perfect get-a-way

Just returned from 10 days at the Pathway house with my Mother and son. It was the perfect getaway place, especially from the hot days in Florida. Diana was wonderful and the house was a one-of-a-kind place to lay back and relax or to have family visit. The lakefront is beautiful. We definitely plan to return next year. There were a few glitches, but, they were "acts of God" and not the fault of the owner, and were taken care of immediately. This is the perfect place for couples or families who want a nice home to spend their vacation time. Thanks to Diana and Jeff. Lois

We love hanging out at Pathway! The fishing off the dock is great, our kids(6 and 3 years) always have a fun time and the sunset views are spectacular!

What an amazing place to stay on Lake Chemung! We loved this charming cottage with our 3 kids and friends! Definitely and easy, no-stress drive from N. KY to reward yourself with this tranquil get-a-way. We loved every minute of playing in the water, fishing, enjoying the great grassy yard for corquet, cornhole and feasting. Take me back to Lake Chemung! ... we'll definitely be back to enjoy family and friends at this comfortable, clean and cozy cottage. Two thumbs way up!

This beautiful completely redone lake front cottage is simply charming. I have rented twice now and have grown to love Pathway more each time I visit. I will be a regular. I grew up on this lake so the memories I possess in my minds eye take me back to a time that is irreplaceable. I appreciate the peace and serenity that this location affords me, and of all the places to unwind in the world, this has got to be the best. The tranquil sunsets make taking a quiet vacation truly priceless. I give this Pathway Cottage an A++! Big Hugs and Kisses to you Diana and Jeff! Terry
