Great house, perfect location

My family (6 adults) just got back from a wonderful, six-night vacation at this place. We especially enjoyed the back patio, a wonderful place for an evening drink or breakfast in the morning. We packed our days full of activities--Culebra, Vieques, Luquillo beaches and food stalls, El Yunke, Guavate's lechoneras, and Old San Juan--but we all agreed that we would have been content just staying at the house! The house is extremely spacious and has AC in every room. A car is a must, as you are a drive from stores and beaches, but it's worth it to come home to a peaceful house. The only downside was there was no internet, which us 20 to 30-year-olds depend on for all research--good thing we had a guidebook! All in all, it was a great stay and I'd highly recommend this house.

Paradise!

We rented Connie's house for a wedding weekend and it was fabulous! Everything we could have possibly needed was there, even for a large group. Plenty of cute dish and glassware for fun meals together. So, it was a giant weight of my shoulders to have less to worry about, as the hostess. The house was so carefully decorated with cute beach house signs, trendy furniture, soft new bedding, great out door patio furniture. The house was warm and inviting, but with the immaculate presentation of a villa in a resort! The view was breathtaking, whether you are taking in a sunrise over the ocean, a sunset behind El Yunque Rainforest or a evening of shooting stars. The best part was that this 180 plus degree view was accessible from the balcony off of everyones bedroom! How luxurious! We had such a spectacular week, we have decided to make it an annual event!! One week a year with great friends in our new home away from home in paradise!

Great Family House

We have now stayed in this house for two years in a row -- 2 weeks each time. We have two toddlers -- great house for a family. Backyard is fenced in so the kids can run around while you enjoy the views.. and cooking on the outside grill. This is a beautiful and secure neighborhood. The house is huge and filled with all the toys, linens and kitchen stuff you will ever need. The owners are great and the managers they have in PR are quick to respond to any issues. I recommend this house to anyone who wishes to stay on the eastern side of the island. We plan to return every year. Thanks Connie.

Perfect Escape, great for large groups

This place fit our needs perfectly. We came with 3 family units & 4 small children. 3 Bedrooms for the grown ups and the 4 bunk beds for the kids were perfect. They also have 3 more beds on the first floor if needed, so easily the house can comfortably accommodate 13 or more people. The house was in very nice shape; clean and had everything you need to enjoy a nice vacation. Connie has kids videos, family board games, beach gear a plenty, laundry facilities. So you just need to bring a bathing suit and clothes and you're set for a great relaxing vacation. The setting of the house is great. It's a gated community, so it feels very safe and secure. Connie's house has the best position in the community with the most spectacular views. The outdoor space is as nice as the inside space, and I just loved relaxing on the hammock watching the sun set behind El Yunke. The view alone makes this house worth it: views of both the rainforest and the ocean. The kids enjoyed the the community pool, a short drive down the road. The playground was also nice, but without much shade, it was a bit hot in June. Connie's "private beach" is really nice, but without bathroom facilities, it didn't work for us with small kids and ederly. However the very nice and popular Loquillo Beach was only a 5 minute drive away. You will definitely need a car out here, it's not walkable. My mother-in-law, who is quite critical, repeatedly commented that the house was lovely; in fact the ONLY negative thing she could say about it was that it's a bit far from San Juan. Since we came for a wedding, we took several trips into San Juan. Drive should have taken about 45 minutes, but with horrendous traffic (at 2pm, or 12am, it didn't seem to matter), it took about 2 hours each way. So if your plans are to spend most of the time in San Juan, this house may be a bit too far out for you. However, it has great access to gorgeous beaches (Loquillo) and 10 minutes from the ferry docks to the island's best secrets: Culebra and Vieques islands. The only other trouble we had was in getting the wifi to work; we never managed to get it working. Our cell service (Verizon and several others) didn't work there either, and without a land-line phone in the house, we were a bit isolated. I would stay at this house again in a heartbeat. The price was extremely reasonable, the house was comfortable and exceeded our expectations, Connie was very easy to work with, and we had a lovely time.

Owner response:We have AT&T for cell phone and its 100% reliable. Not sure why Verizon wasn't working....huge cell coverage on PR. Thanks so much Kristina!!

I love this place, I currently live in Florida, but my parents own a house on this community, and I used to live with them for almost a year when I was pregnant and the neighborhood is so quiet, clean and nice.... I really recommend this place for vacations.

Great Location and very secure area.

We just returned from a week stay and this house is great. I can't exactly put my finger on it but this is the first time we have stayed somewhere and felt like we were staying at a friends house versus a rental property. The house is LARGE, very good location and most important very secure. Everything was simple and smooth with Connie, lots to do in the area. This is not a small neighborhood at all, it resembles more of an estate type neighborhood than anything. I would consider it very upper class for this region. Thanks for everything.

Owner response:Denny, thanks so much! We are thrilled that you enjoyed our home! Connie

My family of (6) six adults had a great time. The pictures do not do this house justice; it is a beautiful home that has everything you need. My two adult sons wanted to go to El Morro and to the Bioluminescent Bay kayaking at Fajardo. It was very convenient to both locations. We were close to everything we wanted to do. We enjoy the scenery of El Yunque on one side and the Ocean on the other side of the covered patio every morning and evening and especially on the one day we had rain. We also used the pool on two days. It was a pleasure doing business with Connie. Everything went smoothly. I do plan to rent again in the future.

6 of us (4 adults and 2 young boys) stayed at the house around Christmas for my parents' anniversary and had a fantastic trip. From the porch, we watched double rainbows connect the Caribbean on one side to the rain forest on the other in the morning, and sat out listening to the coqui in the evening. Giant iguanas appeared on the nearby foliage each morning. The house was lovely and very comfortable, and ideally located. We took short, easy daily drives and walks to several beautiful beaches and down to the neighborhood pool, and ate at many great restaurants nearby. The owners were very friendly and sent everything we needed (keys, info, etc.) well in advance of the trip. We definitely hope to return.

t was a very pleasant stay, very convenient location to explore the nice beach at Luquillo as well as visit Old San Juan for the day. We had a great time on the island; all the kids said it was too short. We would definitely recommend this house highly!

We just returned this past Monday from our little vacation tour and have to tell you how great it was to have your vacation home to come back to. The location was perfect for us as we went to the El Yunque Rainforest and to Las Croabas for the bioluminescent kayaking. The house was really almost dead center to the 2 things that we wanted to do in Puerto Rico. Our kids are still talking about what a great trip they had!

Thank you so much for the use of your beautiful home in Luquillo. Evenings on the hammock on the porch were some of the best times on the island. The team had an excellent time and greatly enjoyed the area. I believe that we are looking at training in San Juan again next year and we would be interested in using your property again if indeed we end up returning. Thank you for everything.

Our family of 5 have stayed at this fabulous home for the last 3 years during spring break (April). The house has wonderful views of the ocean and El Yunque rainforest and a huge tiled patio to enjoy it from. It is very nicely furnished with everything we have ever needed. It is a 5 min drive to our children's favorite beach which is now a nature preserve for turtles. We used the pool, tennis courts and play area almost everyday. It is a quick drive to San Juan for sightseeing and dinner but far enough away to not feel like a tourist! It is in a very safe, quiet gated community away from the noise of San Juan. We have hiked in the rainforest, found a natural river rock slide to slide down, scuba-dived, snorkled in Vieques and Culebra, spent hours on various area beaches, kyacked to the bioluminescant bay, and visited San Juan, Ponce, Humacao, Mayaguez and Aricebo for day trips. The owners are easy to work with and you will not be disappointed if you stay in this home. Hope you enjoy it too!

Melissa and I are from Montana and we rented this home and kind of used it as a small family reunion. We had kids camped out in their own room, we bought our groceries at a local grocery store and every evening we would gather for family style meals and cocktails. It was perfect. close to the ocean, great views, nicely set up home with all that we could ask for. when we go back to Puerto Rico, we will stay here again. It became our home away from home and we cant wait to go back.

The photographs you see on this website do not do this house justice. A shot from the back, if you could get it all in the frame would be better. It would show you how the house is perched high on hill overlooking the ocean, with the peak of El Yunque Rain forest daily displaying the most incredible skies (the sunset particularly) for you as you relax on one of the spacious tile decks. A glorious private beach is a quick 5 minute drive away. Puerto Rico is small enough for day trips to Arecibo Observatory, wonderful scuba in Ponce, and even the west coast for winter whale watching. The house is in a gated community, it has everything you need for a safe, relaxing, completely rewarding trip. As well, the price makes this house an unbelievable value.

My family stayed at this lovely home in December 2006. We loved the location of the house, felt very safe there, and enjoyed breakfast every morning on the patio, with a beautiful view of El Yunke, the rain forest. The house is spacious, and everything works well (washer, dryer, stove, refrig, etc. While the appointments (pictures, etc.) were sparse, the beds and sofas were comfortable. We were charmed by coquis singing at night, and, with binoculars, saw iguanas in the trees enjoying their meals. The house is located close to some charming shops, good restaurants and the marina at Fajardo where you can take a kayak trip to the bioluminescent bay. Loved every minute of our stay at vbro 88256!
