The view alone is worth the trip! This beautiful home is icing on the cake. We have had a relaxing and very enjoyable vacation here. Here are the kids' favorite parts: the beach, the hardwood floors (great for sock-skating), the big beds, the campfires & s'mores & the games. It has been interesting watching the insects change seemingly every day: so many dragonflies one day, teeny gnats one evening and many beautiful butterflies! The telescope is very fun. We could even see the top of the storm clouds (lightening) one night from a storm in eastern Michigan!! Thank you for providing everything we needed to make a special week of memories.

Our short stay here came to an end much too soon! My husband, myself, and 2 sons found your home to be the perfect, relaxing getaway that each of us desperately needed. The property is amazing! We made some fun family memories this week. The weather was cold so we stayed inside and discovered all the good hiding places for hide-n-seek. Our boys got to build their first fires in the fire pit. The sunrises were beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the farm. Thank you for all your hospitality. I spent a glorious week in the beautiful Saxon Sunrise lakehouse with my good friends from Georgia; Doris, David and Edwin. I enjoyed going swimming every morning in Lake Michigan and it was fascinating to see the sun rise and the sun set. It was great to visit Saxon Homestead Creamery and Saxon Homestead Farm where Doris grew up and where we met the Klessig's and the Heimerl's several times. Thank you for all your hospitality, I will always remember you and I look forward to coming back again one day.

We had a wonderful week at your vacation beach house! The great games, gorgeous lake views, sandy beach and spacious home were exactly what our family needed. Wow! So much more than we ever expected! Thank you so much for opening your home to us. We have fallen in love with the beautiful view. Our boys spent everyday, all day at the beach collecting rocks. Evenings were spent by the campfire. We truly appreciated the amenities your home offered; not a single detail was over-looked. Thanks for a wonderfully relaxing weekend. Even with below zero temperatures, we enjoyed the amazing view, spectacular sunrises and the grand kitchen table that allowed us to keep 3 young children busy with board games for the whole day! We enjoyed our stay here. The house is great, nice warm comforters and beds. The tour of the farm was very interesting. Your cheese is fantastic! We wish you the best with the cheese business and hope to say- yeah we know them when they were just getting started! We celebrated an early Thanksgiving here by candle light and the view- nothing like it- it was fabulous! Our kids enjoyed the games and the house. What a great vacation! This place is truly a piece of heaven! Our family had such a great time here. The grounds are perfect for kids to run and an ideal setting for a family reunion. We enjoyed the fire pit several nights with our s’mores and hot coffee and a brat on a Sheboygan hard roll. Can’t be beat with a view like this. The farm tour is a must! What a wonderful time. My name is Robert Nimmer and I was born and raised in Sheboygan. I currently live in Fountain Valley, California and I’m visiting this wonderful cottage so that I can attend my 50th high school reunion, rah rah Central High, Class of ’58. I am here with my beautiful wife, Sally, and my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, being able to show them where I grew up. The farm tour was wonderful because if brings back fond memories of my childhood. The lake is great, it’s one of my most treasured memories of the area and I wish I had taken the time to enjoy the beauty of the lake when I was growing up. What a great way to relax after a long block of exams. The view from the backyard was stunning, and the weather was absolutely perfect for our getaway weekend. “April snowstorm ‘Felicity’ hits area with 6-12 inches!” Saxon Sunrise saved me from driving three hours in this April snowstorm. I pulled into the driveway and noticed the 40mph winds were making Lake Michigan brown with 6-8 foot waves. Luckily, the climate inside was much more inviting. Thanks again! Joel Katte, Wisconsin
