We had a great family getaway in this cabin. This rustic home welcomed us the moment we entered the door. Its well-designed space was ideal for gathering, sleeping, cooking and dining, fun and games. The pool table and hot tub were big hits. Chess and poker tournaments also kept us busy. Hardwood floors throughout were easy to keep clean, towels were plentiful, linens and quilts in nice condition. Everyone loved the rooster motif with occasional bears popping up here and there. Since we visited during July, we made a special side trip to Dollywood's Splash Country (near Pigeon Forge) and enjoyed the water rides, wave pool, and a lazy float on the river. We would highly recommend this property for family vacations near Knoxville and within a 30 minute drive to the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. The owners are very nice but I did have trouble reaching them by phone. The cabin looked pretty new. It was cute, intimate, roomy, and well equipped. Close to the city, UT, and the Smokies. You can't see the cabin from the road so it was a very secluded feeling. We could hear water running in a nearby creek, crickets, and frogs. It was great!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway.
