Lovely Peaks Island home, fully furnished. Screened porch looking into woods, sunny deck on big side yard. Located on quiet road, 10-minute walk to village. Peaks Island is served by a ferry boat which takes cars, bikes, dogs and people, and leaves from Portland's Old Port.
Walking, biking, fishing, kayaking, horseback riding. Low-key island with grocery, library, ice cream shop, kayak rentals, sandwich shop and two restaurants. Ocean access is easy and plentiful; great for picnicking, sunbathing, and swimming!
It's a 20 minute ferry boat ride to Portland's "Old Port" which has lots of shops, restaurants,excursion trips and more for those that want to visit Portland for a couple of hours and get back to the island without driving. The trip across Casco Bay is beautful and interesting as this is a busy working harbor. Ships, lobster boats, sailboats and cruisers are everywhere!

- Peaks Island is a walk-around island about 4-miles in circumference. Waterviews while walking are everywhere, Casco Bay & the many islands, the Atlantic ocean on the backshore. Ocean and rocky beach access is easy and plentiful.

This is because we have a housekeeper and she keeps our large home clean
between families. We provide the linens, towels, tableclothes, napkins
and our home is well appointed.
