This listing is for a single house in the Pocono Mountains in Bushkill, Pennsylvania. The chalet is on a wooded lot in the beautiful, amenity-filled Saw Creek Estates development.

The house sits on a third of an acre and has the following features: three bedrooms, loft, two baths, sleeps seven to nine. Large Screened-in Porch measures 12' by 30' that connects to a deck that wraps around the house. For your convenience our home has a Broad Band Wireless Internet Access, High Chair, Portable Crib, Phone, Iron/Ironing Board, Alarm Clocks, Hair Dryer, Washer, Dryer, Gas BBQ Grill and a Fully Equipped Kitchen. Also, we provide Bed Linens and Towels. For your entertainment pleasure, there are 4 TVs with cable plus, two VHS players, two DVD Players, Game Cube, PlayStation I, and Nintendo 64. Our Entertainment Library contains over 30 Video Game Titles, over 100 DVD and VHS Titles including over 50 Titles for Children and 10 Board Games.

Saw Creek Estates is a full amenity community featuring: Four Outdoor Pools, Two Indoor Pools, Poolside Bar, Two Lakes, Row Boats, Children's Playground, Softball Field, Horseshoe Pits, Racquetball Courts, Tennis Courts (Indoor and Outdoor), Basketball Courts, Volleyball Courts, Boccie Ball Courts, Hiking and Nature Walk Trails, Exercise and Weight Room, along with a Top of the World Restaurant. Amenity badges can be purchased separately from the Saw Creek Estates Administration Office. In the winter, Saw Creek Estates also offers on-site skiing with chair lift, at an additional charge.

  • We stayed at Romers Retreat Aug 1-Aug 8. There were 6 of us which included 2 adults and 4 teenagers. The house wasn't as big as some others, but we found it big enough. We found Steve to be very accomodating from the first contact. He answered all our questions promptly and fully. We thought the information booklet was especially thoughtful. When they say fully stocked kitchen, they mean it. The only thing I didn't find was some cinnamon which I forgot to bring along, but we made due without it. We brought 12 movies and video games which we didn't need at all! The boys enjoyed the video games. The girls enjoyed the card games and we all enjoyed a movie or two together every night. I even had a question or two while we were there and thanks to the high speed internet, I was able to email Steve and get an answer. The kids didn't bike as much as we thought they would due to the big hills. My husband would drive them up to the pool and/lake and they would bike back down. We all enjoyed the screened in porch, but the best part was that we actually had wild deer eating out of our hands in the driveway about a foot away from the steps to the deck! We enjoyed our week in the Poconos immensely thanks to Steve!

  • We rented Steve's property for the July 4th weekend. We planned this trip for an extended family get together( 7 adults & 3 kids). Initialy we were not sure if this place is enough to accomodate all us. Once we got in, it was clear that our apprehensions were misplaced. In addition to the beds in mbr & two other rooms, this place had a crib, a futon bed & plenty of comforters. This house was fully stocked whether it be the napkins,kitchen utensils, plates. It had all the basic things necessary to do full fledged cooking and we didn't had to get anything from the stores. In addition the property was conveniently located amongs woods, near attractionsnlike Bushkill falls & Delaware water gap. We enjoyed our stay very much & would definetly return.   • My family had a terrific Thanksgiving at your cozy chalet! The weather was cold, but we were very warm sitting before the fireplace and watching movies from your extensive collection. You have anticipated every of your guests' needs - a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture in the living room and loft, and great beds. We are looking forward to a return trip next spring so we can take advantage of the screened-in porch and patio surrounding the chalet. Thank you very much, Steve.   • This was a fantastic vacation for us!! We relaxed, we swam, we went sight-seeing, shopping, etc... Our kids loved the loft that was FILLED with video games, movies and board games. I was surprised at how nice and well equiped the kitchen was, We were 2 moms w/5 kids and all the kids had a great time at the house. You have a great move & video library.   • WOW!! I would most definitely recommend the Romer Retreat in Saw Creek Estates to ANYONE who is interested in a wonderful family vacation or romantic getaway. There are plenty of rentals to choose from in Saw Creek, and having personally stayed at a dozen or more places over the last couple of years, I can attest that the Romer Retreat is by far the most comfortable and guest-friendly place I have stayed at. The Romer's have created a space that leaves nothing for the guest to want or need, for they have thought of everything and added a personal touch of ambience to the home. Everything from the updated kitchen with new appliances, the cozy living room with the comfortable furniture and fireplace to the sleep number bed in the master bedroom - make for a wonderful and relaxing vacation any time of the year. They have provided every amenity right down to simple items like scented candles and dozens of DVD's. I know we will definitely be visiting this little piece of vacation paradise again!!   • We recently stayed at Romer's Retreat between Christmas and New Years. We met there (one family from WI, the other from CT) for a family vacation. We had a great time! There's lots to do there (games, movies) so that you'd never have to leave the house if you didn't want to. The house had plenty of room, and is stocked with all the necessities. Steve was very responsive to my calls/emails, so I felt comfortable about the house prior to our arrival. We hope to stay there again! Thanks, Steve!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at the Romer Retreat. We spent the Thanksgiving Holiday at the Romer Retreat, the house was very well equiped with all the necessities of home as well as many family games to play. Would definetly stay there again!
