A 1 1/2 hr. drive to Napa and a 1/2 hour ferry ride to San Francisco and a clean, easy to get to, houseboat in between. Just returned from our wonderful week on the houseboat and can't stop talking about the views and restaurants.

My husband and I enjoyed a week-long stay on this houseboat. We found the Issaquah dock experience relaxing and friendly. The houseboat is very comfortable, clean and quiet. The decks are a great place to begin and end the day. It is an easy access to San Francisco via the Golden Gate bridge; off rush hour it took us 20 minutes to go downtown. Sausalito is a good location for all outdoor activities, and the town has some very nice restaurants, cafes, and a good supermarket. We are golfers and beautiful courses are within 15 minutes to an hour drive north and west. Hiking, biking seemed very popular. We would stay here again.

When traveling, I often have to make adjustments due to my persnicketiness. But every now and then I encounter a place that deeply satisfies my quirks and preferences. The Sausalito houseboat is such a place. It is the balm. The ramp leading from dock to entry is slightly rickety in an Indiana Jones kind of way, but it leads to a view of tranquil waters that are a constant feature while staying on the houseboat. And when tending to the daily do, there are more than a few appointments (e.g., paintings, books, furnishings...) that reassure the body, mind, and spirit. This is the place to recharge and renew.

Cathy and I stayed at the houseboat from June 7th until June 14th, 2008. We enjoyed it greatly. It is a clean and well set up houseboat with all we needed for the week. Its location was close to convience and grocery stores and a short drive to downtown Sausalito's stores and restaurants, Highway 1, and the ferry across to San Francisco. The docks were a visual joy, too, with all the other individualized boats and tons of greenery and flowers lining the docks. The view from both front and top decks was interesting and restful, and the boat rocked us gently to sleep each night. We can't express our full enjoyment of this place. It was wonderful.

Our family of four rented the houseboat for three weeks this July and had a wonderful time, It is a fantastic place to be based in Sausalito. The houseboat was comfortable and so chic! It had every thing that we needed. The large upper deck was a wonderful place to relax and grab some sunshine. We would recommend this rental for anyone.

We stayed on this wonderful boathouse for two nights over Thanksgiving. The house is beautifully designed especially the kitchen which is well stocked with everything that we needed for our meals; and, more importantly, it is clearly a well cared for and clean boathouse. The neighbors were fun and friendly. The sun rises and sunsets were such an added bonus. The owners have set everything up for a cozy, convenient stay including a gift bottle of wine. We plan to return.

What a wonderful vacation we had, thanks in large part to our fun acommodations! The houseboat is well-appointed, stylish, and comfortable. Gene gave us useful information about the area that made our trip all the more enjoyable. We had an amazing adventure staying on the houseboat!
