Very generously sized apartment that is tastefully decorated and well set-up. I don't think we could have had a more charming and better located apartment. We visited mid-winter so it was cold! But the apartment was warm and cozy. I enjoyed sitting on the deep window sill, drinking wine and looking out over the street or river below (depending on whether I was at the front or back of the apartment). It was close to Charles Bridge, restaurants (Local, up the street, is fantastic for a beer and home made sausages), the castle, John Lennon wall, Kafka museum, and so much more. There's no need to catch public transport unless you want to - we caught a tram once, up the hill to the castle. The style and location of the apartment made for probably our best holiday yet (narrowly beating Salzburg at Christmas). Very highly recommended apartment.

We were from 7 to 10 February in the apartment. I can only say wonderful things about the place, the location and the owner. He was in all the details and it was not necessary to ask for anything because everything was resolved. Congratulations for the exquisite taste in decorating. Kindness and Ilan available separately deserve praise. I highly recommend this apartment, one of the best I've met in my trip to Europe.

My twenty-four year old son and I have toured Europe/Asia extensively over the past twelve years and this flat is by far the best property I’ve ever rented - and for once everything worked. The apartment covers the entire 2nd floor from front to back (one flight up above a very quiet bookstore) with panoramic views from all rooms. It appears to be approximately 1700 sq. ft., when the average upscale hotel room is about 200 sq. ft. The neighborhood is super safe with the apartment being secured by three separate locked doors. The place is immaculate and includes a washer with separate dryer that are both large by European standards. The kitchen is beautiful and spanking new; however, never put to the test since there are far too many restaurants in walking distance and prices in Prague are about half what they would be in the US. For beer drinkers, a 0.5 liter stein of Pilsner Urquell is $1.65 all over town. Bathrooms are both brand new. Other amenities include free wifi and Ilan has a spare laptop in the apartment. Irons, ironing boards, pots, pans, plates, glasses, etc. make this place move in ready and in my case better than home. However, should you prefer the ongoing noise of a hotel, which includes chattering maids and door knocking starting at 7AM; the endless clanging of kitchen pots and yelling of maintenance personnel; the 3AM wedding music and inebriated guests (as we experienced in Poland); and the 4000 calorie obligatory breakfast, then this is not the place for you. Transportation from/to the airport is a flat fee of 600CZK, or $31 US, and both drivers were Americans.

Both my wife and I really enjoyed staying at this wonderful apartment. Mr. Morris was a fantastic host and he did what ever he could to make our stay an enjoyable one. I highly recommend this apartment! The location was great and an underground parking lot was only a five minute walk. The views of the Charles Bridge and Castle from the apartment windows were also nice as well. My wife and I plan on going back to Prague and hopefully this apartment will be available again once we finally decide on a date later this fall. Thanks Ilan for making our stay in Prague a memorable one. We really do appreciate your great work!

The apartment was perfect in every way. It's steps away from Charles Bridge while located on a street away from most of the crowds. The view from the bedroom was astonishing. Not in the pictures shown but there is a little canal if you look down from the bedroom window. The apartment itself was great; I just wished we had more people w/us to fill it. Thanks for all your help Ilan!

We would highly recommend this property to rent in Prague. The location is ideal, just at the foot of the Charles Bridge in Mala Strana. The apartment is spacious, clean and updated with comfortable furnishings. There are views of the bridge and castle which give an historical meaning to our stay. We were greeted upon arrival by Ilan Morris, the property manager, who showed us the amentities of the apartment. It was safe and well maintained. Ilan arranged for our airport transfers and also gave us ideas for activities and dining. Moreover the photos of the apartment provided an accurate representation of the property. There really isn't much more that I can add to the previous reviews of this wonderful apartment. It is in every way absolutely outstanding...from its location to the size and layout of the apartment itself. If anything, it's even better than the pictures suggest. I agree with the most recent review prior to this one, that I have rented apartments all over the world, and this one sets the standard. I was particularly impressed by the quietness of the neighborhood in the evenings. It was almost like being in our own private part of the city. I also want to say a special thanks to Ilan. He was very professional and prompt from my first contact all the way through to follow up after our visit. He was especially helpful with a couple of personal issues on the day of our departure. This apartment is rightly very popular, so be sure and plan your trip to Prague well in advance in order to take advantage of its availability. It will make your trip to this magical city even more special!

As other reviewers have said, the Stare Mesto apartment is in an ideal location, being so close to the Charles Bridge and yet hidden away in a small and peaceful square. I'm a very light sleeper and three nights away for me usually means three nights with little sleep, but not here. I have not slept so well in a long time. The apartment is furnished simply and is spotlessly clean. The beds are comfortable and we (two female friends) felt safe and secure at all times. The views from the apartment windows are breathtaking - waking in the morning and listening to the sound of the world (and the ducks) going by with the sun streaming through the open windows is something I'll never forget. Take a good camera - some of my best shots were taken from my bedroom window, with the bridge and domes beyond lit by a million diamonds on the water. Prague is a magical place and it's hard to believe that it can possibly be real. So begins a love affair with the most romantic apartment in Prague (I'm already planning a return trip with my husband this time) and with this historical, fascinating and beautiful city.

When we arrived, the sun was shining but it was one of the coldest days we could remember. The flat was such a haven of warmth and comfort. It is quite enormous and we particularly enjoyed sitting by the fire in the afternoon. The views from the flat - up to the castle from the sitting room and across the Charles Bridge from the bedrooms - were extraordinary. The area around is quiet and beautiful. We would particularly recommend Lokal restaurant nearby for traditional Czech food and beer. Ilan was very helpful throughout. We would love to return.

My family of 4 travels frequently and we always rent an apartment. Our many experiences have ranged from good to really outstanding, with this apartment being THE ONE that was really outstanding! The hosts are a couple, one from Great Britain and the other from the Czeck Republic, so language is not an issue and there is a native to help you if needed. They are very friendly and helpful and totally reliable. We had a last-minute change to our flight and they were exceptionally accommodating! The location of this apartment is absolutely ideal, and the building is totally secure and in a very nice, safe neighborhood. It is steps away from the Charles Bridge, not to mention a grocery store and plenty of places to eat, shop, etc. It also happens to be located above (in the same building) an English book store. You can easily walk to Wenceslas Square, or the other direction to the Prague Castle, which we did many times. Honestly, the location of this apartment is so ideal that even if the apartment itself was not great, it would still be fantastic... But the apartment itself is really outstanding too! First of all, it is huge. You come in the front door into a nice hallway, with the kitchen, dining room and living room to your right, and the bedrooms and bathrooms to your left. It is a TRUE two-separate-bedrooms apartment. There are also two bathrooms. One is a 1/2 bath (toilet and sink). The other is a beautiful, large two-room bathroom, with a shower, totally separate tub and sink in one room, and a toilet and bidet behind a door you can close off from the sink/tub/shower area. The kitchen is practically like something from a magazine, with even the refrigerator built-in. There is plenty of counter space, nice dishes, plates, etc., all small appliances you need, and a dishwasher. Everything is nice, new, and clean and works perfectly. The seating accommodations in the living room and dining room are equally comfortable and spacious--and clean. The decorations are very nice; the fireplace works with the flip of a switch and will warm the apartment nicely if you are there in cold weather as we were. There is even a good selection of books on the shelves in one of the bedrooms. It is a great place to come “home” to after being out all day, where you can easily spread out and relax. I have spent hours searching for apartments around the world, and I always hope to find one like this. You will have a great time in Prague if you stay here!

We can thoroughly recommend this superb apartment. It is very comfortable and well equipped, and you will not find a better location for exploring the city.It is situated on a quiet side street 100 metres from Charles Bridge, but away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist crowds. It is on the first floor, above a bookshop, but we were not at all disturbed by this; don't be put off! There are several good quality, good value pubs, cafes and restaurants within 5 minutes walk, and a small supermarket is just round the corner. All the major sights are within easy walking distance; we did not have to use public transport at all during our 5 day stay. Walter provided a first rate service, including a limo transfer to and from the airport which was an excellent extra which we would recommend (can't guarantee the limo,,,ask Walter!) All in all, we would highly recommend this apartment for a family or party of four looking for quality accommodation in Prague; we are looking to stay here again in the near future. Near all the attractions, it was a great experience to stay for six nights with two sons aged 23 and 13 in this lovely apartment in historic part of Prague. Prague is kings of all cities and this apartment, well managed by Walter, is the most suitable locale to explore it. We enjoyed thoroughly. Underground station is just three minutes' walk and tram station is just opposite the underground station. Buy a pass of your days of stay or daily ticket and go wherever you want. Exploring Prague on foot is, however, more exciting and we did it most of the time.

We found this amazing apartment, above a cozy and quaint bookstore, to be more wonderful than we could have ever anticipated.. We all had sound sleep on good beds and thrilled with the scenery right from the windows' views. The street below the front windows are good for people watching as the tourists and locals move along the cobbled streets and mosaic tiled side walks while stopping at the many cafes and shops that are part of this historic and facinating neighborhood. It is bright and clean and never did we feel concerned for our safety. In fact, the flat is fortressed by iron gates and secure doors. We were happy to use the elevator for our bags, otherwise the steps up to the place are very easy to climb. The back windows, from the bedrooms, have a breath-taking view of The Charles Bridge and just below is a facinating canal where little boats pass by followed by the flotilla of Mallard Ducks that inhabit the waterway. Apparently the building is 16th century however the entire apartment is very modern and quite lovely. At the end of a busy day of touring, it is a real joy to come home to this very happy and cozy home. In addition to the accomodations, the deal is enhanced by the warm and sincere welcome by David. He is a true gentleman and very knowledgeable about the Czech Republic and all of Prague. He has lived there many years and traveled extensively in the area and throughout Europe. David and his associate were really the best feature of this vacation. They out did themselves to ensure that our stay was joyful and that we felf completely comfortable. When we sadly had to leave we felt as if we were saying farewell to dear family members. David gave us big warm hugs and sent us on our way to the airport in a big stretch limo!! We honestly had no complaints, only complements and much gratitude for the vacation of a lifetime. We plan to return soon and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this most satisfying accomodation. We have just returned from a ten day stay in this superb apartment. The location is in Mala Strana one of the most picturesque parts of Prague and there are stunning river views from the bedrooms and of the cathedral from the living rooms. The flat is light, spacious and modern with quality fittings. There are two good bedrooms, a large open plan kitchen and very large lounge…all very comfortable. Although there is only one bathroom there is a second separate toilet with washbasin. As regular visitors to Prague we will certainly return to this accommodation.

This is a really lovely place to stay for a visit to Prague. The apartment itself is beautiful: it's in a historic building, with high and ancient ceilings, and it's classically furnished in a way that exploits that sense of history. There is lots of space, and all you need to live comfortably and plan what you're going to do. And the location is just perfect. At the base of the steps up to the Castle, it is right in the middle of some of the most beautiful streets in Prague (Nerudova, just round the corner, being a particular gem, and Loretanska just up the hill another). It is close to the tram stop in Mala Strana Square, but most places are within easy walking distance. If it's the Old Town you want, it's only 10 minutes walk to Charles Bridge, and 20 to Old Town Square. The Castle is a stiff but beautiful climb up the steps outside the apartment's door (though you can take a tram round the long way if that seems too much), and from there the Loretanska and the Strahov Monastery are obvious places to visit that people staying in the Old Town are less likely to get to. The Petrin (can't do the accent on the 'r') Hill, with wonderful views over Prague, is a short walk south of the apartment (you can get up the hill itself by funicular, though it's not a hard walk). Mala Strana as an area is quite beautiful, and full of restaurants suitable for every purse. We loved our week here, and would certainly come again.

I traveled to Prague for the first time with my 85 year old Mother. When we walked into this flat I was so impressed to see our accommodations. The flat was even better than the pictures. It is so spacious, inviting and provided us with all the comforts we are used to at home. The bed was wonderful and we loved the furnishing. It is clean and well thought out. The owner Walter is so hospitable and he provided us transportation to and from the airport, he was there to meet us at our arrival to the flat, and he helped us find our way around Prague. My favorite things were the sound of the people coming and going up the steps, how convent the location of the flat was to everything, the library at the monastery, lunch outside at Bellavista that overlooks the city and a must see: Loreta. I can not wait to return with my husband and I would recommend this to all my friends and family. Romance, comfort and Best location...It has it all!
