On the shores of the beautiful Folly River (which is the Atlantic ocean inlet), and a short walk from the beach, our third floor, elevatored condo villa enjoys fabulous views of the boats and dolphins cruising the waterway, the extensive picturesque marshes, amazing wildlife, as well as a famous lighthouse! This is not your typical basic rental unit! With three bedrooms (king, two daybed/trundle twins, and queen bed), three full baths, two twin self-inflating Aerobeds if needed, a large living/dining area, and fully-equipped kitchen, and cable television in every room (and DVD/VHS players!), Wifi internet,desktop computer - You'll definitely have the "retreat to the islands" feeling with our bright colors and Caribbean decor. This is a luxurious unit that you'll feel both at home in, as well as 'on vacation'! Business travelers are welcome - it's the perfect ending to a work day, and not far from downtown Charleston!

From the back or front patio decks (until end of September, our back patio is closed for renovations - but the front deck's the place to be with BBQ!!!), sit back and relax with refreshments as you watch incredible sunsets, pelicans and egrets flying by, as well as kayakers and boats making their way up & down river to the Atlantic. Try some Dolphin spotting, too - they're always cruising by. On our dock or by the lagoon, cast a net for some shrimp or crabs... or bring your rod and fish awhile. If an evening dip to cool off after a long day at the beach or sightseeing is in order, enjoy our private pool (and pool toys!) at sunset and beyond...

Take a short walk (use our beach pull-cart to help you bring your beach gear!)across the bridge at our driveway...past Folly's beach shops and many restaurants, to the warm Atlantic ocean beach... miles and miles of it. There, you will find a 1000-foot fishing pier with restrooms, showers, parking, beachside restaurant, snacks and drinks... and, of course, rental fishing gear and the souvenir T-shirts! Or, drive 15 minutes to the cultural and historic attractions of downtown Charleston. There, enjoy world-class restaurants, or a carriage ride to view famous historical sites, fabulous shopping on King Street (our Madison Avenue!), notable Charleston architecture, and the historic market place where you can find the famous Sweetgrass Basket artisans, and many other souvenirs. Golf at Charleston's many courses, including a good and inexpensive public course 10 minutes away... or the celebrated courses of Kiawah island (inc. the world famous "Ocean Course", about 30 minutes away. Maybe a day at our famous South Carolina Aquarium, the exciting IMAX theatre?....or a boat ride - to see Fort Sumter. You can do some deep sea fishing, too, and depending on time of year, there are Historic Home tours and Garden tours. Spoleto Festival, which is rich in art, dancing, and theatre, arrives each Spring.

There is lots for everyone to enjoy. Surf boards, SUP Paddle boarding ("Stand-up Paddling), kayaks, jet skis and numerous other equipment are available for rent around the island. River and dolphin cruises are available in season as well..and kayak tours! For a change of pace, James Island County Park is 5 min. off the island with kayaking and a climbing wall. There are also summer concerts and an amazing, drive-thru holiday light show in the park through the late fall/winter holiday season.

Rain or shine... there is ALWAYS something to do... including an extensive DVD and VHS collection in the condominium for "whenever." Please do not hesitate to inquire about long-term rates... .

Owners' Note: We're currently improving this already great property! Intermittently throughout the summer there may be evidence of renovation work ongoing. There is some scaffolding evident on the rear of the building for work on our REAR decks (all scheduled to be completed by mid-October) - but our fabulous view is still there to see from the unit, and our front patio deck is the place to be for this summer!! It's all set up, BBQ and akll! As always at Folly Beach, It's beaching as usual, nonethless!

ADDITIONAL RENTAL INFORMATION:
$75 cleaning fee.
$25 bed linens, towels and beach towels.
$250 security deposit.
10% South Carolina sales tax on rental and fees.
NOTE: 50% deposit required when reserved and confirmed.
Cancellation refund of 100% if cancelled 60+ days in advance, 50% if cancelled 30 days in advance,and no refund if cancelled less than 30 days ahead, unless owner can re-rent at which point full refund, less 10% cancellation fee, would be made. Dates changes will be processed if alternate dates available.
Change fee applies if Owner cannot re-rent original dates.
NOTE: Unit comes with 2 parking spaces only. No trailers, boats or RV's permitted.

  • Air Conditioning : Central A/C. Go native! TURN OFF THE THERMOSTAT AND OPEN THE WINDOWS for the beach breezes! Please help us fight the soaring A/C and Heating costs by and lowering heat during day in Winter. The pump can freeze if overworked during your stay and repairs can be sooooo expensive! Thank you... :-)

GORGEOUS sunrises and sunsets!!
  • Balcony : At the front of our unit, our walkway/front patio overlooks the vast ocean marshes, out to the beautiful and historic Morris Island Lighthouse in the distance. Superb sunrises and sunsets!
  • Lanai : NOTE: Our screened patio overlooking the water is currently clossed due to renovations. Please check with owner as to re-opening date. The wonderful water view IS still there, of course!
