Our home "Orchid Falls" was built in April 2005. It is elegant but at the same time welcoming and homely and is situated in the upscale golf community of Rotonda, on the Florida Gulf Coast.

Rotonda has been designed around four full-size golf courses and a network of attractive freshwater canals. The neighbourhood is "deed restricted" which ensures its immaculate presentation and peaceful surroundings.

The villa boasts a magnificent caged lanai with beach front pool design and canal view. The pool features a ten-foot waterfall, a small waterfall with fountain, surrounded by palm trees. The pool can be reached from all rear patio doors. A sloping floor makes the pool easily accessible for children and the elderly to reach the swimming depth area.

Outside dining for six and loungers are provided to enjoy this glorious position.

Furnished to a very high standard, the villa offers master suite with king-size bed, TV/DVD player, and slider out to pool area. Bedroom two with queen-size bed, TV with slider out to the pool area. Bedroom three with two twin beds.

Great room with 32-inch cable TV/DVD. Two dining areas with views out to the pool area. Fully-equipped kitchen. Utility area with large capacity washing machine and dryer. Three-car garage.

Additional extras to add to your comfort and enjoyment include barbecue/beach chairs/towels/cool box and four bicycles (two adult/two children). The pool is electrically heated to allow our winter guests maximum enjoyment whilst swimming.

This beach community with its natural Florida charm affords a lifestyle to suit the discerning traveller. A choice of beautiful sandy beaches are within a 15-minute drive.

Hire a boat and discover the magic of nearby islands such as Gasparilla and Boca Grande. Enjoy nature at its best from dolphins and pelicans to cormorants, egrets, and ibis.

The keen golfer will certainly appreciate the numerous golf courses in this area. Rotonda boasts four separate courses within a five-minute drive of our home, all of which offer challenging and enjoyable play.

There are a large variety of local restaurants which offer a wide range of cuisine whilst local supermarkets and shops are plentiful.

For the more serious shopper there is an excellent shopping mall at Port Charlotte which is only a 15-minute drive away.

Experience the delights of old world Venice and historic Punta Gorda, both within a short drive. Enjoy sun bathing, swimming, shelling, fishing, and the relaxation that a vacation in our home can provide.

For those visitors wishing to experience other famous Florida attractions, Busch Gardens is just over an hour drive away whilst the theme parks of Orlando can be reached in under three hours.

  • This is a fantastic home to book for your Florida winter vacation. We stayed for the month of March, and enjoyed all the amenities that this house had to offer. It is located in the Rotunda area near Englewood, and is convenient to almost everything that you would want for your time in the sun. There are four sets of patio doors which open onto the pool and lanai area, but we especially like the fact that the large main set retracted all the way to allow the great room and kithen area of the house to become an extension of the tropical pool setting or visa versa. It was great, and believe me the guests we had during our stay were really impressed. We found that after a day at the beach or shopping, we couldn't wait to get back to our pool area and relax. There are several golf courses within minutes, and the beaches near Englewood were only about 20 minutes away. It's close some good restaurants too. Directions, correspondence, and all transactions by the Blue Heron Property Management company were very good, and Mr. Aldieri's assistance was very helpful and much appreciated.   • We just returned from a week long stay at your lovely home. We felt very at home there and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and was very well furnished. Everything we needed was there. We had our three children with us and there was plenty of room. The lanai and pool area was very relaxing and we spent many evenings sitting out there. The bikes were great to have and the cooler was a plus. There was wired internet access and an extra cot in the home. This home was a wonderful retreat for us. Thank you for letting us stay in your home.

  • We stayed for two weeks 27th Jan to 10 Feb 2006, Me my Wife, Son and Daughter-in-law plus three grandsons 6,10 & 12 years old. We all had a wonderfull time, the property is in excellent condition, spacious and well maintained, everthing you need, the kids loved the pool and everyday spent a couple of hours having fun. The local beaches, all within 15 minutes Stump Pass, Englewood and Boca Grande are really bueatiful, clean and not crowded, we spent many an hour searching for sharks teeth. A good day out is Myakka National Park, about an hours drive but well worth it, a trip on the lake to see the aligators, ospreys and sea eagles a truly unforgettable sight. Shopping is easy with major outlets for food/drink/consumables and anything at all are all within 10 minutes drive. The local restaurants are numerous and we received a warm welcome in all those visited, my favourite was Conch Cafe, old style basic layout but the food was good and the price was right, others we tried all recommended include Mammas & Prime Cut. Our trip to the Gulf Coast was our first, we loved it, we will be back and Rotonda is an ideal location.
