This is as close to Heaven as I will ever get! We had 3 couples staying in this fabulous home and were able to enjoy the views from the many lanai's. Everyone had their own bathroom and the kitchen was very well equipped. Magnificient views from each bedroom. Would definately stay again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay in South Maui was a memorable time and the owner was helpful in giving us detailed instructions concerning the house which helped alot, The house was beautiful, even nicer than what we imagined it to be. The location was great for snorkling a short walk from the house and close to beautiful beaches. The views from the house were spectacular from looking at the stars at night to the sunrises and sunsets. Our grandaughter took surf lessons one day at a beach near us and loved the experience. Our favorite place to eat was Mama's Fishouse, expensive but the views of the beaches in front of the restraunt were stunning and the food was great. Another great place we discovered was the Coconut Cafe- best fish tacos ever! I would recommend this property to anyone looking for adventure and a home away from home while visiting Maui!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

The property was great and our stay was awesome. It was nice having all the kitchen dishes, beach and pool towels, and beach gear at our disposal. The house was beautiful and close to beaches and restaurants. We would definitely recommend this rental home to others traveling to Maui.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Our family just returned from staying in this gorgeous home. The home is more stunning than the descriptions and pictures! The ocean and mountain views are spectacular. I loved opening the lanais in the morning and evening. We loved the quick walk to the beach. We appreciated the list of suggested restaurants that was sent by the owners. I would highly recommend this home and hope to someday return to it again. Two reasons that I had to give it a "good" overall experience was #1 when we arrived around 5:30 p.m. the house was just being cleaned and the cleaning service people did not know that we were arriving that day even though we had it booked several months in advance. It was not ready for us until after 8:00 p.m. #2 the hot tub controls stopped working on Sunday. I contacted the after hours number and got a quick response back stating that they would have someone come look at it on Monday. It was not until Wednesday morning that someone showed up. My husband called the property management company and left two messages on Tuesday that were never returned. These do not in any way reflect on the home or the home owners.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Laura and I, along with our on-island partners, strive to ensure a wholly functioning and overwhelmingly positive experience. If our guests are not deeeee-lighted when they arrive and during their stay, we want to hear about it and have an opportunity to make things right! No excuses. Our apologies to these guests!

This house was everything we could have asked for, and more...that is, except for more time. Everything about the description and the previous reviews is 100% accurate - from the proximity to Makena Landing/5 Caves to the "gorgeous home is the perfect getaway" (emphasis on the perfect). We too enjoyed evenings in the hot tub under the stars, dinner and drinks on the various lanai's (patios), sunsets at Polo - which looks JUST like the last photo. The gourmet kitchen is VERY well-stocked, and we found ourselves cooking dinner almost every night. I would definitely stay here again - and would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking for an ultra-luxurious, social (good for multiple couples or families) vacation. An excellent location in the Makena area, especially if you enjoy snorkeling as it is only a two minute walk to a small sandy beach for access to the 5 Caves snorkeling/dive location, and a short drive to the Ahihi-Kinau Reserve. This very well-equipped house has spacious lanais on the second level from which you can enjoy dinner and view the evening Maui sunsets. In addition to a dip in the plunge pool at the end of a hot day of touring the island, we enjoyed many relaxing hot tubs under the starlit sky.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Amazing location for this lovely home within easy walking distance of many beautiful beaches and snorkeling/dive sites. We loved bringing our coffee to the nearby lava point in the morning and swimming with turtles before the snorkeling boats arrived! The house is as pictured- has everything you might need, with a remarkably well-equipped kitchen and gas grill, and the owners are extremely accommodating. We loved the private outdoor shower and the ability to open up the house to cool breezes.(Be aware that if you sleep with the windows open you will be awakened early by the birds, and some road traffic - but in Makena it makes sense to get out early to play in the ocean before the afternoon winds kick up.). The lot next door appears to be used for string construction materials - there is no activity and it did not impact our stay. The neighborhood consists primarily of multimillion dollar properties that are beautifully maintained. We just loved it. On Maui we have stayed at the Four Seasons, Kea Lani, the Elua condos, the Ritz Carleton, and also in Kanapali and Kahana condos, If you don't need the fancy service or frantic pool scene, you will be happy here. Makena's natural beauty is unsurpassed and accesible.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This past Thanksgiving, we stayed here and enjoyed all aspects of this property. At first, I was not so sure about staying at a house with a pool as after all it's Maui and you should be in the ocean... right ? Well the pool was a great place to relax after a great snorkel and made for a more social evening. All elements of this property were as described and you could not ask for a nicer, better maintained property. Kudos to the owners. With how the house is built, you are able to be as indoor as you want or if preferred, open rooms up with the sliding walls to enjoy a more outdoor feel. With only a very short walk to two different ocean venues, beach or snorkel, you do not need a car to enjoy the local Makena offerings. Big thanks to Kelly and Laura for sharing their amazing Makena beach house.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed 10 days and enjoyed ourselves very much. Lovely home with lots of amenities and well organized. Spacious and modern. Quick drive to beaches. We will be back. This house is unbelievable! If you are looking for a house to rent in Maui don't look any further, We have been to Maui numerous times and this the first time we have stayed at this house and we haven't enjoyed our accomdation more then we have staying here. I would highly recommend this one. I have no negatives from the house to share. The house is large, beautiful and stocked well. The house is perfectly located: perched on a bit of a hill to allow breath taking oceanviews from each room, close to beaches, landmarks and Kihei but is secluded enough that at night sitting outside is peaceful and quiet. We loved having a pool/hot tub in the backyard and spent lots of time in them while the kids were napping in the afternoon. Dealing with the owners was a pleasure and made the transaction a pleasure. Replies were always quick and they were always accomadating with any request.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Very recently Maui tragically lost one of its heroes in Afghanistan when the helicopter he was in was shot down by enemy fire. When looking for accommodations for the funeral attendees, Kelly and Laura graciously opened their beautiful home and took in the family of the victim. With out a doubt, a selfless, courageous, loving, act by two people who clearly get the meaning of Aloha.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is a beautiful home. Quiet, very nice area. Away from lots of noise. You can see the Molokini Crater and beautiful views wherever you look. I would recommend bringing some small binoculars, we wished we would have had some. The pool is not as big as the picture looks, but still nice. They have tried to take care of anything anyone would need. You can walk to small beaches from the house, we snorkeled with the turtles. On the instructions it says to turn on the dirt road, but it has been paved, so don't look for a dirt road. We did have a few problems when we got there but those were taken care of quickly. I would totally recommend this to anyone, except someone with a toddler, pool in yard and lots of stairs. We went to the Warren and Annabelle Magic Show in Lahaina and it was hilarious, and he is amazing. We loved Kimo''s Restuarant in Lahaina. Our favorite restaurant was up by the airport, Mama's Fish House in Pa'ia, very expensive but the best we had. We also liked The Fish House in the town south of Makawao, I can't remember the name of the town, but the restaurant was on a corner, and The Waterfront in Wailluku, over by the aquarium. We liked the aquarium also. Buy the coconut 'crack' as they call it, got it on the road to Hana, but you can get it most stores. Our only bad meal was at Maui Tacos in Kihei, and if you like fried fish go to Eskimo Candy in Kihei. It has fresh fish, mostly fried but it was a fun place to go. (got an eskimo candy t-shirt). Fred's in Kihei was okay, but not great. Just save your money, everything is so expensive, but so worth it, and so much fun. I would love to go back, and hopefully will. Also, when you leave, you don't have to clean up, we just straightened up a little, pulled the sheets and towels and put them on the washer, and off we went. Wish we could have stayed longer.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

So nice to have the peace and quiet that comes with staying in a house vs a condo or hotel. This was a fabulous week for our family vacation. The house was impeccably clean, extremely comfortable and well-stocked with just about anything you might need. The ocean views and sunsets - spectacular! We liked the location and accommodations so much that we are going to stay at Kelly and Laura's home again next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We stay in Maui every summer for 3 weeks and we have rented houses all over the island. We finally found the one house that we can see staying at every year. The location is very convenient to all the beautiful south Maui beaches and has a beautiful view of the Pacific. The house is very open (all the doors slide completely open) and light. There are ample out door spaces to enjoy as well. The house is well stocked with quality items - especially in the kitchen.
