Kathy's Kabins was completely remodeled into a more up-to-date log cabin. Kathy kept you in mind, when it came to the decorating. Each bedroom has its own characteristics. You will see from a sample of the some of the pictures,you can have your choice of décor.
On the Main floor there are 3 bedrooms,The Log Room is decorated in John Wayne style, with his masculinity and tenderness. The Master Bedroom is very romantic, yet relaxing with the warm colors and the woodsy cabinetry. The Guest Room is more for the softer side of the heart, with flowers, poetry, and foo foo fabrics. The living room has a futon sofa which folds out to sleep 2 people, along with another sofa for additional family seating.
Upstairs, you will find two more bedrooms, each having two twin beds, decorated for leisure or sleeping. The entertainment room is also upstairs, along with a Daybed which sleeps 2 people, one on top and the other mattress pulls out from underneath. The teens and kids will enjoy this. The 26-inch TV is game friendly, has a DVD/VCR and CD player, along with the stereo surround sound system for their movie and game enjoyment.
Kathy’s Kabins is a great vacation spot for two or the whole family. Make your reservation for 2 nights, one weekend, or the whole week. Gather with friends or family for that ski trip, family reunion, or book a romantic weekend and surprise him or her with a fantastic bottle of wine, barbequing out, and spend the rest of the evening in your own Private, Enclosed "Spa House", just outside the door of your private, warm cozy cabin.
The Zig Zag River and Still Creek collides together, directly behind the cabin, about 200 yards from the back door. You can hear the rushing of the waters as you lay in bed at night. Just picture the peacefulness of the woods and water rushing.
Totalling 10 beds, Kathy's Kabins sleeps 14 comfortably. Sixty-minute drive from Portland Airport, 9 miles from Government Camp, 15 minutes from Mt Hood Ski Resort. All the comforts of home. Take a secluded walk over a swinging bridge to grocery store and many fine restaurants. Go for a nature walk, hiking, fishing, golfing.
Kathy's Kabins Living Room has a River Rock fireplace with a wood stove, a 26" LCD, widescreen TV, with DVD/VCR player, for your viewing pleasure, full-size washer/dryer, fully-furnished kitchen, even a pizza cutter and coffee grinder, all the modern conveniences of home. Local telephone service and cable TV is provided. All flannel bed sheets, linens, down comforters, towels, etc, are provided. Top-of-the-line mattresses, no lumpy beds in Kathy's Kabins. Introducing "Kathy's Kabinette". Kathy still offers "Top of the Line Beds" in this charming little cabin. No cutting back on expenses either. Still the same quality.Pictures are available on her website. Kathy's Kabinette has 2 bedrooms and a loft. Sleeps 6 people comfortably. Has all new corian counter tops, new appliances, and 2 full baths. Even a private, secluded hot tub on the back deck.(Kathy's Kabinette has a 3 night minimum stay, no animals are allowed in this one) Give Kathy a call and ask about Kathy's Kabinette!!! Rates are 1-2 People $175.00 per night, each additional person is a one time charge of $50 per person.

Kathy, This is such a charming cottage! You have thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. The beds are heavenly! I also appreciated the quality furniture and appliances. I even noticed how great the door handles, light fixtures and faucets are(!) I really like that you leave the little food extras so we didn't have to buy every last detail to make a good meal. We had "Christmas in July" dinner and you had every pan, bowl, utensil and appliance needed to pull it off. This whole neighborhood has a great feel. You have a very Special place here-I hope it makes you rich :) I have passed your name along to several local friends and relatives. Thanks So Much The Winchesters

Kathy, just a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed the cabin. Our New Years was relaxing ad quite, just what we needed. It was such a nice walk to explore and see all the great stuff that is along the river! Where did you get the bed in the room to the right of the bathroom? It would be perfect in my new house. I just loved the wood and iron slats. Also could you let me know where the comforter came from. It was really nice and my old one is worn out. Anyway, we had a wonderful time and appreciate all your efforts in renovating the cabin. Your attention to detail was very apparent. Thank you again Jerriann

I think this cabin was very fun. I liked the hot tub and the path along the river. Sam I liked your cabin alot. I slept in the upstairs twin, it was very comfy. I hope to stay here again. Thank you.
